4 people have died in a mobile home fire near Billings, Montana. Two suspects have been arrested as a result.

Authorities removed four bodies from the burned out home on Thursday. Yellowstone County Sheriff Mike Linder explained that the suspects were apprehended later that evening.

Although police stated that Zaccary John Kern and Robert Eric Bottenhagen were arrested in connection to the fire, Linder wouldn’t comment on how they were related to the 4 people who died in the mobile home.

“We’re not releasing any investigative details at this point until I get with the county attorney’s office,” he explained.

However, Linder stated that the two men were being charged with four counts of negligent homicide in the blaze. Both men were booked at the Yellowstone County Detention Facility, where they each received an additional charge of felony arson.

Authorities stated that the names of the 4 people who died in the mobile home would not be released until their families had been properly notified. An autopsy on the bodies is scheduled for Friday (April 19).

The fire was reported early Thursday morning. Fire crews were able to get the blaze under control within 10 minutes of arriving on the scene. While nothing suspicious was noticed during the initial search of the mobile home, the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms soon joined the investigation.

Neighbor Troy Donges said his son woke him up after noticing that flames had engulfed the mobile home. Although he quickly rushed to the scene and attempted to get people out, there was no response from inside the building.

“I was hitting the trailer as hard as I could with my hand. There was so much smoke in there, I don’t know how anybody could’ve survived. People told me every time I hit it, it sounded like a gunshot and it woke them up,” Donges explained.

With the Boston bombing suspect still on the loose the Red Sox and the Bruins have decided to cancel their games today.

Authorities in Boston are currently searching for 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnev and much of the city is under lock down. Authorities have urged residents in the suburb of Watertown to remain inside during the manhunt.

The Boston Red Sox and the Bruins issued statements earlier today saying that they were monitoring the situation. Both teams eventually decided that it would be best to cancel tonight’s games.

The Red Sox, who were scheduled to start a three-game series against the Kansas City Royals tonight at Fenway Park, made the announcement on Twitter.

The Red Sox said: “OFFICIAL: Tonight’s Red Sox game at Fenway Park scheduled for 7:10pm has been postponed to support efforts of law enforcement officers.”

The Red Sox did not say when the game would be rescheduled.

The Boston Bruins were scheduled to play the Penguins tonight. The Bruins said that the game tonight has been “tentatively” scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.

The Bruins said in a statement: “The Boston Bruins announced today, April 19, tonight’s game between the Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins has been postponed and tentatively rescheduled for Saturday, April 20 at 12:30 p.m. ET at TD Garden. A final decision on the rescheduled day/time will be made by the NHL, Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins by Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. ET.”

Both teams said that ticket holders will be able to use their tickets for the rescheduled games.

Jeff Zucker said that CNN Worldwide did “exceptional work” despite the serious mistake the news organization made during its coverage of the Boston bombings.

In a memo to his staff, Zucker explained that he was proud of the work CNN accomplished both in front and behind the camera this week. He added that everyone on-board eared his “deep gratitude and admiration” for the way they handled coverage, even when they managed to get things wrong.

Zucker wrote in the international memo:

“CNN has been there for our audience in every possible way — on television, online and on our mobile platforms. As Wolf would say, that was true for our audiences here in the United States and around the world. For journalists like each of us, these are the times that define what we do and why we do it. All of you, across every division of CNN Worldwide, have done exceptional work. And when we made a mistake, we moved quickly to acknowledge it and correct it.”

The misstep in question came on Wednesday when CNN’s John King reported that an arrest had been made in connection with the Boston bombings. Unfortunately for the news organization, this information turned out to be incorrect. CNN was then forced to backtrack and admit they had made a serious mistake.

The memo continued:

“Now, as the week comes to a close, I wanted to express my deep gratitude and admiration. You have worked tirelessly, around the clock, to share these stories. And our audiences have responded, making it clear that they rely on us in ever increasing ways. In front of the cameras and behind the scenes, you have shown the world what makes us CNN.”

Zucker took over CNN back in January. Despite the criticisms both he and the network have received in the past few months, he said that his detractors are simply jealous of the network’s success.

Jim Thorpe’s remains can be removed from a Pennsylvania mausoleum in the town of Jim Thorpe and buried on American Indian land in Oklahoma, in accordance with the wishes of his two surviving sons. US District Judge Richard Caputo made the ruling Friday, after the sons brought the case under the 1990 Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act.

That clears the way for their lawyer Stephen Ward to begin the legal process that will end having their father — once voted the Greatest Athlete of the Twentieth Century — buried on Sac and Fox land in recognition of his American Indian heritage. Of mixed Sac and Fox and Causacian ancestry, Thorpe was raised as an American Indian.

Jim Thorpe was the rare athlete who played both professional baseball and football — at the same time. As a track and field star, he took two gold medals for the decathlon and pentathlon in the 1912 Olympics held in Stockholm, Sweden.

He was later stripped of both medals for violating the rules that only amateurs could play in the Olympics. Although he was an amateur track and field athlete, he had been paid for two seasons of minor league baseball. Many commentators of the time felt that he was really attacked because of the widespread racism of the era, not because he was violating the spirit of the rule.

The Olympic medals were reinstated in 1982, years after Jim Thorpe’s death in 1953, when the International Olympics Committee determined that he had been wrongfully denied the titles. Evidence dating back to 1912 showed that the disqualification had occurred after the legal 30-day time limit.

The record he set for the decathlon stood for 20 years and was still strong enough to have earned him a silver medal as late as 1948.

Jim Thorpe’s remains were originally placed in the Pennsylvania mausoleum after his surviving third wife, Patricia Thorpe, made a deal with two towns to merge and name themselves after her husband, in exchange for having him buried there. While recognizing that his decision Friday might seem contrary to modern contract law, Judge Caputo noted that the US Congress prohibits exploiting the remains of Native Americans for commercial purposes.

According to the Associated Press, it’s likely that Jim Thorpe never even visited the town named after him.

His sons believe that Jim Thorpe’s record of activism speaks for itself. After he retired from sports, Thorpe is known to have appeared in at least 70 films. He became a powerful advocate for Hollywood to use genuine Native Americans in movie roles.

The process of moving his body can now get started, but it isn’t yet clear exactly when Jim Thorpe’s remains will be reburied in Oklahoma.

Ever since the identities of the two Boston bombing suspects and their Chechen origins were revealed, social media has been flooded with interest over the Tsarnaev brothers’ home country, the Czech Republic. Err … Chechnya. Which one is it again?

This exact confusion is why the Czech Ambassador to the U.S. issued a statement on Friday to help confused tweeps appreciate the difference between the two countries. Namely, that they are two different countries.

The basic difference (aside from the name) is that Chechnya is a republic under Russian control while the Czech Republic is a parliamentary, landlocked country in Central Europe. A lot of supermodels come from there, too.

Anyway, the confusion resulted in a number of minor Twitter dust-ups, with “Chechnya” trending pretty high most of the day Friday. Czech ambassador Petr Gandalovič noticed (because apparently he has nothing to do but surf Twitter all day) and released a statement noting his concern with Americans who need to brush up on their geography.

“As many I was deeply shocked by the tragedy that occurred in Boston earlier this month. It was a stark reminder of the fact that any of us could be a victim of senseless violence anywhere at any moment,” Gandalovič wrote.

But …

“As more information on the origin of the alleged perpetrators is coming to light, I am concerned to note in the social media a most unfortunate misunderstanding in this respect. The Czech Republic and Chechnya are two very different entities – the Czech Republic is a Central European country; Chechnya is a part of the Russian Federation.

“As the President of the Czech Republic Miloš Zeman noted in his message to President Obama, the Czech Republic is an active and reliable partner of the United States in the fight against terrorism. We are determined to stand side by side with our allies in this respect, there is no doubt about that.”

Appreciating the difference does count, too. While the Czech Republic has pledged their unquestioning aid to the U.S., Chechnya’s leader pretty much blamed us for the Boston bombing and for turning the two Chechen suspects into evil terrorists with our Western influence.

So the least we can do is not confuse the Czech Republic for Chechnya.

“Why waste a good finger?” was apparently the thought process behind one British man’s decision to cook and eat his digit after losing it in an accident.

Dave Playpenz lost one of his fingers after a motorcycle accident. After surgeons removed the blackened digit from Dave’s hand, his first thought was apparently “I wonder what that would taste like?”

He was given approval to take his lost finger home with him so that he could experiment with cannibalism, something that he admits he is curious about. He decided to cook and eat the lost finger, and then keep the bones as a souvenir.

“I’d always wondered what human flesh tastes like. But it’s taboo,” he said. “People can’t go around being cannibals – that’s illegal. Only then, it occurred to me that no one could haul me to court for eating my own flesh.”

Hence why the lost finger presented an opportunity unlike any other.

“I decided to cook it and taste it. Then my curiosity would be satisfied.”

After two days of recovery, Dave boiled the finger in salt water so as not to damage the bones. He didn’t dip the finger in any sauce or season it at all: He wanted the pure, unadulterated taste of man flesh.

“A vegan friend of mine approved of it, as at least I had my own permission whereas animals don’t give their consent before they’re eaten,” Dave joked.

And in case anyone is concerned, Dave didn’t exactly acquire the taste for human flesh. “And no, it hasn’t turned me into some kind of Hannibal Lecter. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, which I definitely won’t be repeating.”

Additionally, the consumption of his finger seemed to take on a spiritual significance, as well.

“I know it sounds mad, but it wasn’t just the curiosity. That finger was a big bit of me, too big a bit to lose,” Dave admits. “I decided that, if I ate the flesh and kept the bones, then I wouldn’t be losing part of me.”

Paramount Pictures has finally unveiled the official title for its upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot.

Michael Bay originally stated that he wanted to ditch the Teenage Mutant in favor of just Ninja Turtles. However, it would seem that the studio has other ideas in mind for the project.

Instead of Ninja Turtles, Paramount revealed at CinemaCon this week that the reboot will be known as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Instead of irritating fans by changing up the title, producers are apparently staying true to the source material.

Wrath of the Titans director Jonathan Liebesman is said to be working with TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman on the project. While many fans have cried foul at Michael Bay’s desire to make the heroes aliens from another planet, the filmmaker said true fans shouldn’t have a problem with this angle.

“If everyone was such a die-hard fan, they would know that the TCRI canisters where the ooze comes from … That is alien ooze. We’re expanding [the story], and the expansion will be true to the mythology,” Liebesman explained.

However, Paramount may not want to alienate old-school fans of the characters by introducing too many elements that causes them to post a stream of angry blogs about the upcoming reboot. After all, it’s these people who will be shelling out money to see the flick in theaters next summer.

Production on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot has already begun. The film stars Alan Ritchson (Raphael), Pete Ploszek (Leonardo), Jeremy Howard (Donatello), Noel Fisher (Michaelangelo), Megan Fox (April O’Neil), and Danny Woodburn (Splinter).

Unless something goes haywire between now and next year, Paramount Pictures hopes to have the new installment of the TMNT series in theaters on June 6, 2014.

A five-year-old New Delhi girl who was abducted, raped for 40 consecutive hours and tortured has been described as alert and in a stable condition but may need corrective surgery, said doctors on Saturday.

The girl, who suffered serious internal injuries during her ordeal, is now being treated at the state-run All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi.

“She is conscious and alert,” D.K. Sharma, one of a team of doctors treating her said in a medical press release.

“Now her condition is okay and she is under close observation,” he said, adding that the child was ”quite stable and her [health] parameters are within control.”

However, the doctor added that the child may need “definitive and corrective” surgery as a result of her attack, which led to two days of demonstrations in the capital and demands for improved safety for women and children.

Local Indian news reports have said the girl’s attacker allegedly tied the girl up and also burned her, adding that doctors recovered flammable debris from the child’s genital area.

A 22-year-old man was arrested on Saturday morning on suspicion of carrying out the 40-hour attack police said, after he hid at his in-law’s home in eastern India. He is originally from the Bihar region and is believed to be a neighbor of the girl’s family.

The suspect, Manoj Kumar, left New Delhi and fled to his in-law’s in a village 70 kilometers (43 miles) from local capital Patna. The garment factory worker is accused of repeatedly attacking the five-year-old inside a locked room after he kidnapped her on Monday in a lower-middle class area of New Delhi.

The alleged attack comes just four months after the gang-rape and subsequent death of 23-year-old female student.

Widely known as “Damini” in India, the student’s death triggered protests amid calls for reform in how sexually violent crimes against women and children are handled.

The alleged attack on the five-year-old also follows the alleged gang-rape and beating of a Swiss woman vacationing with her husband in India.

An added disturbing aspect of this latest incident is an accusation that the local police involved in the case offered a bribe to the five-year-old victim’s family to withdraw their complaint.

At a Saturday press conference, Polit Bureau member Brinda Karat called the attack on the five-year-old “shameful” act and demanded punitive action to be carried out against the policemen.

“Atrocities against women and children are increasing. The recent incident of rape in Delhi is very shameful for India,” said Karat. “When a five-year old child is not spared and sexually assaulted, I do not understand where the Indian society is heading.”

“It was also shameful on the part of the police to try to bribe the parents of the child, instead of filing an FIR in this case. The way the police behaved with the victim’s family was unwarranted and highly objectionable,” she added.

Autism is a complex neurodevelopmental disorder which manifests in the first three years of live, and is more common in boys. The condition is characterized by the effect of impaired social interaction and communication.

Autistics have a restricted understanding of non-verbal communication, have difficulty with empathy, and exhibit repetitive behaviors as they like predictability. Autistics can suffer from a comorbidity of obsessive compulsive disorders. There are varying degrees of autism (autism spectrum), as no two people with the condition are alike.

Children who have autism spectrum disorder (ASD) are also more likely to develop problematic media habits such as video game addiction, more so than their neurotypical siblings and peers, according to a recent study.

Micah Mazurek, a clinical child psychologist at the University of Missouri who led the research, addressed how children with ASD are particularly interested in technology, and how this interest fuels the effectiveness of some autism video game based therapies meant to teach social and communication skills – a tool that manages to hold their attention.

However researchers caution the excessive use of video games and television, as games in particular can stimulate addiction and undo stress. And stress on someone who is autistic is especially damaging psychologically.

Mazurek led the study, published in the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders, focusing on the use of screen-based media. This included television, video and computer games, and electronic social media.

The participants were 202 American children and teenagers with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and 179 neurotypical (typically developing) peers between the ages of 8 and 18. Parent answered questionnaires related to their child’s screen-based habits and extracurricular activities – specifically asked the time invested, the genre, and frequency regarding gaming and television.

They also completed the “Problem Video Game Playing Test” (PVGT), a clinical measure that is in development to assess behavioral addiction to playing video games.

Children with ASD spent approximately 62 percent more time watching television and playing video games than in all activities combined. They spent significantly more time than their non-ASD peers playing video games and had higher levels of problematic use.

Children with autism spent about 4.5 hours per day, on average, playing video games and watching television, compared to the 3 hours their peers spent on them per day – both groups exceeding the American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations of no more than two hours per day.

In contrast, those with ASD spent less time using social media like Facebook, socially interactive video games, and physical activities. Results of the PVGT revealed children and teenagers with ASD had higher levels of problematic video games use.

The clinical analysis determined they were more likely to get upset when interrupted amidst game-play, spent more time on games than with loved ones, had an unhealthy preoccupation, and had difficulty stopping and disconnecting from the game – demonstrating strong, negative emotional and volatile reactions surrounding the cessation or interruption.

Autistics are especially attracted to the rewarding aspect of video games, as it does not require direct communication or invested social interaction. This prolonged enticement counterproductively discourages social skills, skills people with ASD are in desperate need of developing.

In his prior research, Mazurek examined the relationship of problematic behaviors among 169 boys with ASD, between the ages of 8 and 18, and video games. Mazurek found a correlation between behavioral problems, such as arguing, defiance and oppositional disorder, and aggression in boys with ASD who played role-playing games. The results addressed the clinical importance of further examining video game use among children with ASD.

The sticky seabird tragedy continues in the United Kingdom. A few days ago, UK media began to report that a second wave of ocean-going birds, especially guillemots, have been washing up on beaches in Devon and Cornwall. Added to the over 300 guillemots, razorbills, puffins, and other seabirds found washed ashore in February, the death toll has now passed 1,000.

There are also over 200 injured seabirds currently being rescued by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) and the South Devon Seabird Trust.

Although the disaster is still unfolding, the chemical involved in the bird kill has been identified as polyisobutene (PIB), a clear sticky chemical that is currently legally discharged into the ocean when ships wash out their tanks. The glue-like sticky substance coats feathers, preventing seabirds from being able to dive or fish. As a result, the sticky seabirds die a lingering death if they don’t wash up where they can be rescued.

After the new sticky seabird reports started pouring in last Saturday, the RSPCA called for the UK parliament to ban the discharge of PIB. Without a ban, they predict a 40 percent increase in the use of the deceptively clear glue-like chemical in the next four years.

And they say that the sticky substance is already killing an unprecedented number of seabirds. In addition to the birds actually found dead or dying over a wide area of the UK’s southwest coast, many more birds are thought to be dead in the open sea where they will never be found.

According to the UK’s Guardian, over 500 seabirds were impacted between Jan. 29 and Feb. 6 alone, when the birds were discovered along a 200 mile stretch of shore running from Sussex to Cornwall. There’s some speculation that the new spill is more of the PIB from the very same unidentified ship. A change in wind, tide, or both may have provided an illusion that the spill was gone, when it had actually just changed direction so that for a few weeks the birds were no longer being washed ashore.

A Plymouth University geochemist Steve Rowland told reporter Jessica Aldred, “Whether this is the original spill washing around I don’t know but the substance seems to be the same as the January-February spill. There has been a change in wind direction and maybe this is the same material.”

The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) has stated that they probably won’t be able to locate the ship that spilled the chemical, because it’s so commonly used. The investigation into the February spill was closed without a result.

Meanwhile, sticky seabirds continue to wash ashore.

Sticky Seabird Disaster Hits Second Wave Of PIB ‘Glue-like’ Deaths is a post from: The Inquisitr

University of Miami sophomore linebacker Gabe Terry was suspended indefinitely by the Hurricanes on Friday, after he was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.

Miami-Dade County officials say Terry was booked into custody at 8:41 am Friday and charged with possession of more than 20 grams of cannabis, a felony, as well as resisting an officer without violence, a misdemeanor.

According to jail documents, Terry was allegedly found with 26.8 grams of pot.

Terry remains in jail and his bond has been set for $5000 for the possession charge. A $1000 bond was issued for the resisting without violence charge.

He is expected to make a court appearance Saturday.

As for Terry’s future with the Hurricanes, Jorge Milian of the Palm Beach Post tweeted that “his name [is] no longer on the roster; history says that is usually end of your UM career.”

Terry, who reportedly was also a standout wrestler in high school, attended Palm Beach Central in West Palm Beach, Florida, and was a three-star member of Miami’s 2012 recruiting class.

Following his arrest, Terry’s former high school coach released the following statement:

“I am aware of what happened today and saddened by the event,” Palm Beach Central coach Rod Harris told the Post. “It’s an unfortunate situation. The Palm Beach Central football program will not turn our backs on an alumni. We will try to help him in any way we can.”

During his freshman year, Gabe played in seven games (mainly on special teams) and made five tackles and blocked one punt.

The Sun-Sentinel points out Terry is the second member of the University of Miami’s football team to be arrested since the end of the 2012 season.

Cornerback Thomas Finnie was kicked off the team in December following his arrest on grand theft charges for stealing a laptop from a university dorm room.

Rex Ryan ripped the Orioles on the same night that his league was attempting to celebrate the official release of their 2013 regular season schedule.

The New York Jets coach had a problem with Baltimore’s baseball team because their own schedule forced the defending Super Bowl champ Baltimore Ravens to open their own season on the road.

Ryan believes that the Baltimore Orioles should have been willing to move their own home game, which takes place on September 5 in order to left the NFL champ open on their home field.

“I understand the Orioles are playing a game at home. Well, who really cares?” Ryan said during a press conference about his own team’s schedule.

Normally, news that Rex Ryan rips the Orioles wouldn’t be a huge deal, but the fact that an NFL coach has found reason to get mad at a major league baseball team over one day on the schedule stands out.

Ryan believes that the baseball team should have been willing to play 82 games on the road. What the NFL head coach doesn’t seem to understand is that one game can mean the difference between making the playoffs or not.

For the O’s, manager Buck Showalter didn’t take the slight laying down. He fired back at Ryan saying that he should be a little more worried about November 24.

That is the day that the New York Jets travel to Baltimore to take on the Ravens themselves. This back and forth between two proud men from different leagues isn’t something that goes on very often.

For the most part, head coaches and managers understand that they all have a job to do. While they may not be a close knit community you don’t see a whole lot of sniping across the leagues.

Hearing Rex Ryan rip the Orioles isn’t something that should really be all that shocking considering the odd things the head coach has said and done over the years.

Amy Poehler dropped her funny-woman persona for a Thursday video published on her “Smart Girls Channel” YouTube profile. Sounding off on media coverage of the Boston bombing, the Parks and Recreation star wondered “if we could give our eyes a break.”

Poehler conceded that it’s important to stay informed in the event of an ongoing national tragedy like the Boston Marathon bombings, but posed an interesting dichotomy: How do we keep our finger on the pulse of a developing story without being subjected to the graphic images arbitrarily and liberally shared everywhere from social media to to cable news?

As we’re all well aware, the Boston Marathon bombing story has seen a huge amount of incredibly graphic and gory imagery, even on the front pages of major publications. These images may seem better suited to an R-rated film, but there’s an argument there that the public needs to see the consequences of terrorism and extreme violence.

Filmmaker Michael Moore even argues that we should see the shocking images of the aftermath of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in Newtown, Connecticut. Only by seeing images of 20 dead children lining the hallways of an elementary school will we be galvanized into action.

However, an opposing and equally persuasive argument exists: That seeing such images will only desensitize the public, making them ultimately complacent to graphic violence.

Poehler, for her part, seems to be in the latter camp. In her somber and serious video, she admits to being exhausted with the constant deluge of violent imagery in the media:

“Doesn’t it just feel like we’re just bombarded with stuff now? Everywhere we go there’s just one picture that’s worse than the one before.” she said. “I wonder if we could soften our hearts and minds and our eyes. I wonder if we could give our eyes a break.”

She suggested a thoughtful way to stay engaged:

“Maybe try to see things in a different way –- try to see things by reading about them or talking about them or listening. I kind of feel like my eyes need a break,” she admits. “It’s OK to not be looking at what everyone else is looking at all of the time.

“Be OK with letting some things rest in peace,” she concluded.

West, TX — The death toll from a fertilizer plant explosion in West now stands at 14. The deadly explosion happened on Wednesday evening as firefighters were battling a fire under one of the plant’s storage tanks.

Ten of those who died on Wednesday were first responders. The remaining were residents pulled from their homes and one of the plant’s employees.

Texas Public Safety Sergeant Jason Reyes announced that the bodies will be sent to the Dallas County medical examiner’s office for identification.

Now that all the bodies of those who died have been recovered, the small town of West, Texas has started the recovery process. While they wait for authorities to allow them back into what used to be their homes, residents began doing what they could to prepare.

Some called a contractor to rebuild. Many of the town’s residents felt stuck. They were unable to start recovering from the massive explosion while authorities still searched through homes and businesses for any survivors. It is unclear how long it will be before the 2,800 residents are allowed back in.

Resident Bill Killough, 76, paced the lobby of a hotel on Friday, waiting to hear news on the fertilizer plant explosion investigation. Killough’s house is just 2 1/2 blocks from where the plant was. When authorities allow him back inside his home, the former mechanic said his handyman will help him grab his guns while he focused on a list of items his wife wanted, including documents.

Federal investigators and the state fire marshal’s office began inspecting the twisted pile of debris that used to be West Fertilizer Co. on Friday, searching for a cause to the explosion. There is no word on how long their investigation will take.

Along with announcing the firm death toll for the fertilizer plant explosion, authorities also clarified an earlier statement that up to 60 people were still missing from the blast. Official stated that the list of missing people that had been provided was “confusing.” There was no clarification on whether more people were missing or not.

Word of a possible Mean Girls musical comes as welcome news to none other than one of the film’s original stars, actress Amanda Seyfried.

Writer Tina Fey has previously expressed interest in a musical stage adaptation of her 2004 sleeper hit, saying: ”I thought the movie in some ways mostly appealed to young girls and gay men, and I feel like that could be a recipe for success on Broadway” in 2007.

Recently, Fey floated rumors of a possible adaptation yet again, and Amanda Seyfried just can’t take the suspense anymore. She wants in, having flexed her music chops in films like Mamma Mia! and Les Miserables, but it’s the role she’s eye-balling that caught our attention.

The original film marked 27-year-old Seyfried’s film debut, where she played dim-witted “plastic” Karen Smith, a crony of “queen bee” Regina George (played by Rachel McAdams). It’s is reportedly that role, the Regina George role, that Seyfried is interested in taking on for the musical adaptation.

During her photo-shoot with Allure, Seyfried confessed: ”I desperately want to be Regina.”

She also dished about her former co-star, Lindsay Lohan. She said that while they were shooting the film nearly ten years ago she greatly admired Lohan, even though they didn’t really hit it off as friends.

“She’s talented,” Seyfried said before pausing and correcting herself: “Was.”

Another pause, another self-correction. “I mean, I don’t know…. She was so bright-eyed.”

Indeed she was.

Williamsburg, Va. — Authorities say a husband and wife from Nebraska died Friday when their single-engine plane crashed in Virginia.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the crash happened at 4:53 pm near the Williamsburg-Jamestown Airport, where the a Cessna 210 aircraft was supposed to land.

The pilot of the plane, Joseph D. Brown, 54, and his wife and only passenger, Susan S. Brown, 52, both died at the scene. They also had a dog on board with them.

FAA spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen reported there were no injuries or damage to any property on the ground.

While the cause of the crash is currently still under investigation, a witness to the accident said he saw the plane when it first began to show signs of distress. He said the aircraft was coming in low and from the left

“I heard him pulling for power, trying to power up,” Herbert Gordon, a retired captain with the Williamsburg Fire Department, told the Hampton Daily Press. “The plane banked like it was coming into the airport, and it looked like the wind pushed it up. It’s wings were perpendicular to the ground.”

“All of a sudden, he just did a nose-dive,” Gordon added. “Then I heard a crash.”

Wavy10 News notes Brown was an experienced pilot, having clocked more than 4,300 flight hours in his background with the Air Force, mainly in B-1 and B-52. He also served combat time in operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom.

His official title was Major General of the Eisenhower School at Fort McNair, a premier Department of Defense national security training school in Washington, D.C.

BioSh0ck Infinite sold more copies than any other game in the United States in March.

The game has been a massive success among critics and topped weekly UK sales charts since it has been released. That means that the king of March sales in the United States isn’t exactly a surprise.

The sales numbers are still pretty impressive especially when you take into account that the video game market needed a title like this to boost sales quite badly this spring.

In total, the newest iteration of the popular series sold 878,000 copies in the month of March. That beat out rival games like Tomb Raider who saw a record first month for the company but still had to “settle” for second place on the March sales chart.

Even with two incredibly popular titles, video game sales across the entire spectrum were down about 10 percent from March of 2012. It wasn’t bad news for every company that was involved in the video game industry though.

Industry analysts say that the Nintendo 3DS actually saw an increase of about nine percent over the previous March. Games like Luigi’s Mansion 2 and Monster Hunter 3 were able to drive interest in the handheld device higher than its been in quite a while.

BioShock Infinite and Tomb Raider were just two of the eight new releases that occupied the top 1o on the March sales charts. Gears of War Judgment, God of War: Ascension, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, MLB 13: The Show, Luigi’s Mansion 2, and The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct were the other new games at the top of the rankings.

Of the top 10 games, only NBA 2K13 (ranked seventh) and Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 (ranked 10th) weren’t released in March.

One in every three women runners will experience breast pain (mastalgia), according to a new UK report published Friday in anticipation of the upcoming London Marathon which will run Sunday. St. Mary’s University College’s Dr. Nicola Brown and colleagues wanted to calculate just how frequently marathon runners are affected by mastalgia and how severe the problem really is.

They surveyed almost 1,400 women who participated in the 2012 London Marathon to discover that a stunning 32 percent of the 1,300 runners who completed the questionaire admitted to experiencing breast pain. Ouch. The study appeared in the British Journal of Sports Medicine.

Over half of the women runners said that their breast pain was strong enough to be uncomfortable, and 17 percent said that their symptoms have been strong enough to affect their exercise routines.

Unfortunately, the bigger the cup size, the more likely the woman was to experience breast pain. More vigorous exercise was also more likely to cause pain than moderate or light exercise.

Childless women also had a slightly larger risk of breast pain, with around 35 percent reporting mastalgia. About 28 percent of mothers experienced the pain.

That isn’t really a huge difference and, anyway, having a kid is probably too extreme a treatment for experiencing some pain while jogging. According to the survey results, most women — about nine out of ten — try to prevent pain by wearing sports bras while running.

However, with one-third of women runners experiencing breast pain even though the overwhelming majority already wear extra support, the researchers suggested that athletic clothing manufacturers probably need to take another look at their designs.

Don’t throw rotten vegetables, but I’m going to recommend a completely different approach that works for me. If running hurts you, find a less-jolting, lower-impact exercise that doesn’t cause breast pain. Leave the marathon running to women who are built for it.

Before Midnight. Those words probably mean next to nothing to you, unless you’re a Richard Linklater fan who has been waiting nearly 20 excruciating years for the final chapter in the love story between Jesse and Celine.

Julie Delpy, the film’s co-lead, promises that everyone working on the upcoming comedy-drama is committed to as much authenticity as possible, and that means a realistic portrayal of sex between a loving couple working through the strain of long-term romance.

“Sometimes I see films where people have sex with a bra on. I mean, what country do they come from? I don’t think I’ve ever had sex with a bra on in my life, except maybe once,” Delpy observed in an interview with GQ.

“I’ve never actually showed my body that much, even though I’m a French actress. It was a big deal for me to do it. This movie isn’t fantasy. This is a film for people who can handle a pair of tits.”

The 40-year-old actress admitted that exposing her body in the film took guts, especially since she’s one for aging gracefully.

“I’m a real person, so it’s a statement to say, ‘Alright, I’m a forty-year-old woman, and this is what you get with no plastic surgery. Not even plucking my eyebrows,’” she said.

But the actress is well-matched to such a statement, having portrayed strong female characters in the past, including Before Midnight‘s Celine twice before.

“I’m such a feminist,” she said. “But not in a wearing overalls and hating men kind of way. I love men. I was raised by feminists, so it’s digested. Why am I even justifying myself? I’m a feminist.”

Before Midnight co-stars Ethan Hawke as Jesse, who has finally settled into a relationship with Delpy’s Celine after meeting nearly 20 years ago as young adults in Vienna. It is the third Richard Linklater film to star these two characters (not counting their cameo in Waking Life) after 1995′s Before Sunrise and 2004′s Before Sunset.

If you haven’t seen either of those two films, drop everything you are doing and go rent them right now. They are awesome. You will thank me.

Julie Delpy Talks Sex In ‘Before Midnight,’ Mocks Bra Wearers is a post from: The Inquisitr

Jak and Daxter are headed to the PS Vita this June. The game had previously been announced as coming the Playstation based handheld device but there wasn’t an official date attached at the time.

The HD collection is one of the most popular collections in Sony’s seemingly long history of video games and there has been quite a demand for all of the games that are wrapped up in the series.

Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak 2 and Jak 3 are all going to be released on the Vita as one for the low low price of just $29.99. While that price tag might not be dirt cheap, considering that you are able to get three separate games it certainly is a deal that will make hard core fans pretty happy.

Along with the old reliable games, there will also be a couple of new trophies that you can unlock. Sony says that there will be at least three trophies that weren’t included with the titles when they were released on the PS3 in February of last year.

The first rumors of the series coming to the PS Vita were started when a listing was discovered on the ESRB website. There hadn’t been anything close to a confirmation that the games were actually coming since then.

There has been quite a bit of talk that Sony wants to try and jumpstart popularity for the handheld by releasing some of their most beloved titles on the platform this year.

The company has talked quite a bit about wanting to release a ton of games for the Vita in 2013 because they believe it has been under utilized since it first hit the market.

The Jak and Daxter collection certainly fit the bill as a series of games that people might enjoy being able to play again on their handheld device.
