CD Projekt RED, the developer for the highly anticipated game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, has a pretty good reputation among gamers for being an honest and transparent company. Even when they make an announcement that most gamers would cry over if another developer did so, CDPR still ends up looking pretty good in the end.

Announced yesterday, The Witcher 3 will be getting two paid expansions. We knew that The Witcher would have paid expansions, as CD Projekt RED has talked about them before, thanks to a 2013 interview with The Examiner. The Witcher 3 developers laid out their ideas behind paid-DLC.

“We could sell extra content to gamers down the road, but we don’t believe in that,” said game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz. “Only something really big, and something that will not make you feel ripped off, justifies a price tag.”

Apparently CDPR believes their content for The Witcher 3 expansions justify a price tag. The two DLC additions are named Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. Between the two expansions, CD Projekt RED is promising around 30 hours of additional content, which dwarfs game time from a lot of current full-priced AAA games on the market today. This is also in addition to the 16-pieces of free DLC announced earlier this year, as reported by the Inquisitr.

In a press release from The Witcher 3 developers, Marcin Iwinski commented on the expansion philosophy of the successful Polish studio.

With the development of Wild Hunt coming to an end, the team has embarked upon the creation of two new really big adventures set in The Witcher universe. We remember the time when add-on disks truly expanded games by delivering meaningful content. As gamers, we’d like to bring that back. We’ve said in the past that if we ever decide to release paid content, it will be vast in size and represent real value for the money. Both our expansions offer more hours of gameplay than quite a few standalone games out there.

CDPR also mentioned to those looking at buying the game’s expansion who felt any hesitation, they should wait and see how the reviews pan out before purchasing. Currently you can buy the expansion pass and the game as a bundle on the official Witcher 3 website. Hearts of Stone is slated to release in October, while Blood and Wine is tentatively scheduled to release to Witcher fans in the first quarter of 2016.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set to release on PC, Xbox One and PS4 May 19.

Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of Nirvana’s frontman Kurt Cobain, admitted she isn’t a fan of her late father’s band with a laugh and grin. She shared she isn’t really into the grunge scene. There are two Nirvana songs she mentioned, however, that she does love listening to — one evokes a lot of emotion from her while the other one is just, in her own words, a “f**king great song.”

During an in-depth interview with Rolling Stone, 22-year-old Frances Bean spoke publicly for the first time about the legacy her father left behind, the troubled relationship with her mother Courtney Love, and the documentary on her father, Montage of Heck, which she executive-produced. Frances Bean attended the premiere of the documentary at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival where she was photographed smiling and hugging her mom for the first time in public in years. In making Montage of Heck, Frances Bean wanted to show a side of her dad never seen before — the man behind the mythology.

When asked in her Rolling Stone interview, where she also once interned for a period of time, about how she feels when listening to Nirvana’s records, she gives a surprising answer.

“I don’t really like Nirvana that much [grins]… I’m more into Mercury Rev, Oasis, Brian Jonestown Massacre [laughs]. The grunge scene is not what I’m interested in. But ‘Territorial Pi**ings’ [on Nevermind] is a f**king great song. And ‘Dumb’ [on In Utero] – I cry every time I hear that song. It’s a stripped-down version of Kurt’s perception of himself – of himself on drugs, off drugs, feeling inadequate to be titled the voice of a generation.”

Frances Bean was asked if she feels awkward about not being a fan of her late father’s band, and her revealed feelings about Nirvana’s music make sense. She isn’t going to idolize her father, someone she may not have gotten to know well but still sees as a human being like everyone else. Not too often does society think about the children of dead musicians and how their parents’ music being everywhere may affect them, especially when those parents have left this world tragically young.

“No. I would have felt more awkward if I’d been a fan. I was around 15 when I realized he was inescapable. Even if I was in a car and had the radio on, there’s my dad. He’s larger than life, and our culture is obsessed with dead musicians. We love to put them on a pedestal.”

The new issue of Rolling Stone with Frances Bean’s interview is due out Friday, April 10.

Montage of Heck is slated to air on HBO on May 4 and will also be shown in select theaters April 24.

On Wednesday evening, Brandi Glanville, instead of bashing LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian, as she has often done in the past, publicly thanked them. Brandi has a personal goal of raising $15,000 for the organization, which makes the wishes of ill children come true. With 10 days left, Brandi has so far raised $10,880. Brandi and her two sons will be doing the two-mile family-friendly walk on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Los Angeles’ Exposition Park. It’s likely that LeAnn and Eddie heard about Brandi’s fundraising effort through one of the boys.

Some of Brandi’s Twitter followers expressed surprise at her tweet. “I believe hell just froze over. Lol. Nice to see this,” wrote one person. “Are you serious!” wrote another.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, in late March, Brandi Glanville admitted that after she heard about the Germanwings plane crash, she did a “flight prayer” which included her ex-husband Eddie Cibrian and, for the first time, his wife LeAnn Rimes.

While Brandi’s relationship with LeAnn and Eddie seems to be better, she still admits that it’s hard not being able to be with her boys all the time due to her and Eddie’s custody agreement.

In September 2013, Brandi told Bethenny Frankel on her talk show that it was hard seeing LeAnn, who had an affair with Eddie while he was still married to Brandi, constantly post photos of a happy family.

“It’s the worst pain you could ever imagine. You think your heart is broken after you get a divorce? Wait until there is a girl tweeting pictures of, ‘Oh, look at my family.’ You have no idea. I feel like she almost does it to antagonize me, but at this point I’ve accepted it. It took me awhile, but Xanax was my friend when that started happening. I was like, ‘You can have the man, but those are my babies.'”

Now that things seem to be better between Brandi Glanville and LeAnn Rimes, perhaps LeAnn really will go on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in the near future? In February, Brandi actually suggested LeAnn as her replacement should she leave.

“I’m not sure how much longer I have on that show. Maybe it’s not for me anymore… She [LeAnn] could be good at it. Maybe it’ll be her next thing.”

Robert Herjavec and Kym Johnson have been at the center of dating rumors since Dancing with the Stars started Season 20. The couple has played coy about a potential relationship off the dance floor, but they are not hiding the fact that they spend a lot of time together at the moment.

The dating rumors began after the couple was spotted getting cozy at a DWTS after party back on March 16, according to People Magazine. One witness said the couple was “canoodling” during the event.

Since then, judges and other Dancing with the Stars contestants have made comments about the pair’s chemistry and their relationship off the dance floor. Derek Hough shared his own thoughts about the pair’s relationship with Us Magazine after the couple performed their foxtrot last month.

“I think they’re an adorable couple. Literally when Kym describes the kind of man that she’s looking for, it’s him! She’s like, ‘I need a guy like this and like this’ and I’m like, ‘Yo, that’s him!’ More power to them! I say yay to that.”

Robert and Kym have not confirmed that they are indeed a couple. Robert did make an appearance on Good Morning America on Monday morning, and he did make a comment that has stirred up the rumors even more.

“She’s a great dancer and she’s become a great friend. It’s more than just the dancing. I think we just get along great!”

It is the “more than just dancing” comment that has put the dating rumors into overdrive since his interview on GMA.

Kym has not spoken out, but she has shared several photos on her Instagram account that show fans just how close the pair have become since the season began. The couple even spent Easter together, and Kym shared a photo of the two of them together. They both wore bunny ears.

If the rumors are true, why have the couple not revealed they are indeed a couple? Robert Herjavec is in the midst of a divorce. He and his wife of 15 years, Diane Plese, split last year. This latest batch of speculation has fans wondering if the couple’s divorce is indeed final.

According to News Oxy, one fan of the show expressed their concerns over the situation on social media.

“Robert Herjavec and Kym Johnson are using the ABC reality show as a match dating game. For someone who’s still married, he just couldn’t wait until after the divorce papers.”

Robert did not have an easy time of it after the split from his wife. In fact, the Shark Tank star has spoken quite candidly about his divorce and his reaction to it in a recent interview.

“I just wanted to end it … It’s been a terribly difficult year. We were great parents and a great team, but over time we drifted apart … I was hollow and broken. Everyone has their kryptonite. For me, it was my kids. It took me to a place I never thought I would go.”

Robert did reveal what helped pull him out of the deep depression he fell into after the split from his wife with ABC News. He volunteered at the Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission. There, he helped the homeless, and that gave him a new perspective on life.

“I saw so much pain, so much loss and grief, but, yet, joy. It just stripped away everything for me and brought me back to a place of happiness. You have to have hope. I mean, somebody loves you. It’s never the end and you’ve just got to believe that tomorrow’s going to be a better day.”

His appearance on Dancing with the Stars has also helped. He has revealed that the contestants have formed a little family, and Kym has been supportive of him every week. He said, “I don’t think [Dancing with the Stars] could have come at a better time in my life.”

On Monday night’s show, Robert and Kym performed a special waltz that he dedicated to his mother, according to a previous Inquisitr report. His mother died from ovarian cancer. In his Entertainment Weekly blog, he shared a message about ovarian cancer with his fans.

“[There were] approximately 22,000 new cases of Ovarian Cancer reported across the U.S. last year alone. There was a 44.6 percent chance of survival for those diagnosed between 2004-2010. We need to do more. We must do more. Cancer doesn’t care if you’re tall, short, small, large, someone’s brother, sister, father or someone’s mom.”

Next week, the theme is Disney Week. Fans are already buzzing about the pair’s song selection and the performance for next week. The couple will perform a quick step to “Step in Time” from Mary Poppins. On Wednesday night, Robert shared a photo from their rehearsals on Twitter.

The Kanye West Bible is just as real as the mega star is, according to Fox Insider. A trio of “entrepreneurial brothers” combined the Book of Genesis with a foreword to create the Kanye West Bible known as the Book of Yeezus: A Bible for the Modern Day.

Kanye West is so insanely popular that calling him “God” is simply not good enough. To rectify this, a trio of brothers did took West’s song, “I Am God,” to heart and created the divine – a work called the Book of Yeezus.

The brothers wanted to show society how cultural icons could be so powerful. The Book of Yeezus does this by examining the “spectacle of media icons in the 21st century,” according to the website.

They write on Etsy that the Book of Yeezus is not a replacement for any religion’s traditional bible, does not “represent an undying devotion” to the now mega-iconic pop star (who just happens to be married to Kim Kardashian), and is not their way of poking fun at Kanye West.

In fact, the brothers did not intend for the Book of Yeezus to represent anything other than a study of how Generation Y and society as a whole represent its icons, according to the Q&A on the Etsy listing.

The description on Etsy explains that the Book of Yeezus is a pseudo-doctrine — it is a reproduction of the Book of “Genesis” that celebrates mega icon Kanye West and his “grandeur.”

“At its simplest, it is the book of Genesis, modified to feature ‘Kanye ‘ or ‘Yeezus’ in the place of God or Y—A. ‘In the beginning Kanye created the heaven and earth… And Kanye said, Let there be light: and there was light.'”

The brothers started the project by asking the question, “What if?” The foreword explains what they’ve found.

They tackled deep and varied questions such as what would happen if the Bible were “updated to reflect our modern society,” and why do Kanye West fans put so much stock into what they perceive is his unending significance.

What the brothers eventually ended with was a successful tribute to the spectacle that is Kanye West that marries fact with fun — the Book of Yeezus.

Calling it a “Bible for the New Age,” “interventionist art,” and a “coffee table novelty,” the Kanye West Bible explores the way that our cultural icons somehow morph into spiritual figures.

Although the project is just now gaining momentum in the media, the Book of Yeezus’ Etsy shop opened in January.

Its listing implies that the book has already sold out. It notes that “We’ve gotten a hellava lotta orders,” and have “sold more books than we have sitting in the kitchen.”

Referencing Moses’40-year walk across the desert, the brothers ask for patience when ordering.

Available at Etsy for $20, the Kanye West Bible, Book of Yeezus, will probably be one of the greatest gifts that ever existed for fans who – quite literally – worship the designer, pop singer, and mega social icon that is Kanye West.

‘Book Of Yeezus’ Turns Genesis Into ‘The Kanye West Bible’ is an article from: The Inquisitr News

The Humane Society of Utah got some help from pet photographer Guinnevere Shuster to help showcase the true personalities of the dogs in their care. The dogs are placed in a photo booth while photos are snapped. The result is adorable and has skyrocketed adoption rates at the shelter. In fact, adoption rates for pets who are photographed in the photo booth is 93.26 percent!

Bored Panda points out that the goal of the photo booth session is to showcase what the dogs are really like.

“[The Humane Society of Utah] aims to show these dogs the way they’d really look if you allowed them into your life – out from behind the metal bars that contain them at the shelters they live in.”

The Human Society of Utah is proud of their new program and Shuster says that it is a huge success. Shuster claims that almost all the dogs who are photographed in the photo booth are adopted within a couple days with some dogs causing doors to be flooded with potential adopters upon opening.

“It helps a great deal, almost all of these dogs have been adopted within a couple days of being posted, some even have people lining up at the front door before we open”.

The Humane Society of Utah says CJ and his BFF (brother) Badger love each other to pieces and are looking a family that can adopt them together.

Shuster told DIY Photography that she is only able to photograph about two dogs per week in the photo booth due to time restrictions, but has already photographed 70 dogs with a 93.26 percent adoption rate. Shuster says she focuses her efforts on dogs that won’t do as well in a shelter environment and ones that would have a more difficult time being adopted.

Shuster isn’t the first photographer to put dogs in a photo booth. In fact, one photographer used a photo booth to challenge the way the public perceived pit bulls.

Rumer Willis opened her latest Dancing With The Stars segment with the revelation that she was bullied as a teenager, a confession that managed to remind us that no one is happy all of the time and also brought Demi Moore to tears. Did someone really mess with Bruce Willis’ daughter? Afraid so. According to Rumer, Demi Moore and Bruce Willis were actually the cause of the bullying, with other teens comparing Ms. Willis to her famous parents.

Dancing With The Stars wouldn’t be the same without Rumer, and Ms. Willis is proving that hard work and talent are culminating in an enjoyable experience. But the daughter of Striptease star Demi Moore wasn’t always so graceful. Rumer confessed to feeling just as awkward as any teenager and with such obvious self-consciousness, Ms. Willis found that many of her peers were more cruel than compassionate.

“When I was a teenager I was super awkward; I don’t think I really felt comfortable in my body or with how I looked, and people were nasty.”

Rumer told the Dancing With The Stars audience that she was constantly being held up to her parents and fell short of what most people thought she should look like. Rumer remembers being told that she lacked her mother’s femininity, looking much more like masculine Bruce Willis. Ms. Willis confessed on DWTS that she had considered plastic surgery to correct the perceived flaws, due to the extreme bullying she received, but the inspiration she saw in her sister Tallulah really saved her from making such a drastic change.

“My sister Tallulah was in rehab and I was inspired because she didn’t try to hide from it. She really owned it. She got in this mindset of saying ‘Here are my flaws and it’s OK. I’m still me and I’m still beautiful and it doesn’t matter.’ I just realized that I could feel the same way and I need to stop listening to the bullies.”

Eventually, Rumer Willis grew into her body and developed her own sense of purpose, drawing strength from her mother Demi Moore and her siblings. Rumer now shares her graceful talents, as seen in the Dancing With The Stars waltz with partner Val Chmerkovskiy.

Ms. Willis has come a long way from that insecure teenager, sharing her most vulnerable moments on television and speaking out against bullying on Dancing With The Stars so openly. Rumer chose this moment to speak about her experiences to let others know that they are not alone.

“I feel like I’ve gotten to a point in the past year and it’s why I wanted to share it. I think it’s a really important message. Social media is such a breeding ground, unfortunately, for negativity and I wish if I can have any impact of making that more of a place of positivity and support for people than that would be my biggest wish.”

Demi Moore wasn’t the only one to be drawn to tears by Rumer’s confessions. Willis’ own dance partner admitted to being affected by Rumer’s admissions. Chmerkovskiy said that he was proud to be partnered with someone that had such a “fearless spirit, genuine humility, and an enthusiasm for life.”

Alien life has long been a subject of debate and numerous Hollywood films. However, with recent statements from various NASA scientists, the centuries-long argument might possibly be put to a close.

In a panel discussion last Tuesday, NASA’s chief scientist, Ellen Stofan, revealed information that shook the human race.

“I think we’re going to have strong indications of life beyond Earth within a decade, and I think we’re going to have definitive evidence within 20 to 30 years.”

Stofan also asserted that they are “definitely on the road.” Geared with cutting edge technology, NASA experts are already on the “path” to putting these tools to use. According to Stofan, “We know where to look. We know how to look.”

NASA’s chief also emphasized one important detail. She pointed out that they are not expecting to discover little green men like those depicted in sci fi movies. Instead, these said “aliens” are anticipated to be in microscopic form. “We are talking about little microbes,” she reiterated.

Other members of the panel also agreed with the chief’s statement. NASA’s interim director of Heliophysics, Jeffrey Newmark, spoke out with complete certainty regarding alien life. “It’s definitely not an if, it’s a when,” he said.

Former astronaut John Grunsfeld also supported Stofan’s prediction and gave his own forecast.

“I think we’re one generation away in our solar system, whether it’s on an icy moon or on Mars, and one generation on a planet around a nearby star.”

Grunsfeld’s claim is based on recent scientific discoveries made by NASA. The latest studies suggest that the solar system and other galaxies in the Milky Way are filled with environments that are capable of supporting life.

In the solar system, some planets have satellites where liquid water exists. Large deposits of water lie beneath the icy surface of Jupiter’s moons Europa and Ganymede. Saturn’s Enceladus also displays the same features.

Another celestial neighbor that has NASA’s attention is Mars. According to discoveries made over the years, the said planet might have been filled with salty flowing water during ancient times. Moreover, NASA has also discovered some life-supporting elements on its surface. On an expedition, NASA’s Curiosity rover was able to obtain samples carrying carbon-containing organic molecules and “fixed” nitrogen. Both are key ingredients for Earth-like life.

Advanced Warfare is the eleventh game to be released in the Call of Duty franchise, and, according to their website:

Yes, that’s right — Kevin Spacey takes on zombies in this hugely popular multiplayer game. Advanced Warfare players cloak their characters in exoskeletons which helps to enhance their abilities as they are pitted against a world now filled with zombies. The game is set in the year 2054 with the Atlas Corporation (headed by Spacey’s character, Jonathan Irons) attempting to save humanity from a cataclysmic event.

Fans have been very excited by the latest Call of Duty offering and it seems that if the world gets overtaken by zombies, all we need to do is look to these Advanced Warfare gamers for support. According to IGN and Sledgehammer Games, avid fans of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare have killed 2.5 billion zombies so far since the game was released on November 4, 2014. To put this into perspective, gamers have killed the equivalent of the entire population of China and India combined — in just over six month.

At this rate, if “maths whiz” at 4chan was right about his original theory on how long it would take survivors such as Rick Grimes to wipe out the walkers in AMC’s The Walking Dead, Advanced Warfare fanatics should be able to clear the world of zombies in less than a year. This is based on the math that 99 percent of the world population (current world population figures stand at 7.3 billion humans) would be turned into zombies and the remaining 1 percent of survivors would be able to kill ten zombies a month.

As well as this impressive kill rate, Advanced Warfare players have thrown 2.25 trillion grenades, participated in just under 224 million Exo zombie waves, and their weapon of choice is officially the assault rifle. ‘Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare’ Gamers Could Rid The World Of Zombies In Less Than A Year is an article from: The Inquisitr News

Two-year-old Violet Pietrok was born with a rare defect of the skull called frontonasal dysplasia. It’s so rare that only 100 cases have been reported. The condition causes the face and head to be malformed while in the womb. The disorder caused Violet’s facial features to be widened, including her nose, which had no cartilage, and the space between her eyes. Her eyes were so far apart, her vision was likened to that of a bird. She also had a large central cleft in her face, called Tessier Cleft, as well as a growth over her left eye, according to the Daily Mail.

Post-surgery, Violet is now the happy toddler that she was destined to be, constantly smiling, laughing, and dancing. Her mother, Alicia Taylor, said the following, according to Good Morning America.

“She’s fantastic. She’s taking it all in stride. She’s so happy…all the time. If she’s not smiling, she’s generally asleep or throwing a fit.”

In October, Violet, who is from Portland, Oregon, underwent surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital to correct deformities, aided by 3-D printing of her skull. A plastic surgeon and neurosurgeon helped to reshape her face. Five 3-D models of her skull that represented from the time of her first birthday until her operation helped the surgeons determine how Violet grew and developed, and it helped them practice the incisions and cuts even before entering the operating room. They had to be especially careful not to interfere with brain function. The 3-D models helped for the most part avoid complications in surgery. A link to a video about her surgery can be found here.

There was a complication which necessitated further surgery. And Violet spent six weeks in the hospital for her scar to heal, and her stitches were removed the end of February. But this spunky, can-do toddler apparently took everything in stride, including adjusting to her new visual field. All that bothered her about her numerous stitches was that she wasn’t allowed to wear ribbons in her hair during healing time.

Even though Taylor misses the old Violet she had grown to love, she realizes that this is better in the long-run for her daughter, stating, according to the Daily Mail.

“This will make a huge impact with her quality of life and the way people perceive her.”

But Taylor hoped that telling Violet’s story would make people more accepting of how they react to her. She told ABC Channel 7 the following.

“If you see someone staring at you and (they) turn and walk off, it makes you feel different and it will make her feel shunned. It would be far better if they introduce themselves and say, ‘Hi, I’m so-and-so, I wondered if you can explain to (my kids) what happened.'”

Another young person in the news also recently got plastic surgery for a different reason than Violet’s. Allison Kramer was relentlessly bullied at school, with other students making fun of her nose, according to an Inquisitr article. Her family dipped into savings and even sold jewelry so that she could have the plasic surgery she desired. She just wanted to feel more confident.

With the show receiving a lot of attention, Duff has the spotlight on her fully, and she has made many admissions about her teen years in recent weeks. Hilary has spoken out about her love life, parenting, her divorce, and more in recent interviews.

People Magazine shared Duff’s comments about her weight issues on Wednesday.

“I was too thin. That was not a healthy place for me. I was so unhappy. I remember my hands cramping because I wasn’t getting enough nutrients. A lot of girls my age were super skinny. I think it’s just as bad now, but it’s more normal. It’s crazy. I can’t be that way. It’s not my normal state. Things don’t bounce back the way they used to, but I don’t need to be 110 lbs. I’m a 27-year-old mother. I feel fit and strong and happy.”

Duff is definitely happy about her body now. Hilary shared a bikini selfie on her Instagram last month. The bikini selfie received a lot of attention, and she made it clear that she was happy with her body. She captioned the photo with “#wetstillgotit.” It took her a year after the birth of her son to lose the weight, but she does not let that bother her.

According to Yahoo! Parenting, she spoke about losing the weight post-baby in an interview with Health late last year.

“Oh my God, everyone was so hard on me because it took me a year and a half to get my body back. … This is the body that I have. I have a very athletic build, and I am so proud of what my body has done for me. I had the best, healthiest, strongest pregnancy. And I feel good about myself.”

Duff is busy raising her son, Luca, while working on her music and acting, but she is not raising the little boy all on her own. She split from Mike Comrie three months after their son was born, but the couple has stayed close. They are a “unit” when it comes to raising Luca, according to Yahoo! Parenting.

“We are a unit and we’re going to be a unit for the rest of our lives. We realized [as a couple] we weren’t where we used to be. But I feel so lucky this happened when Luca was young because this is his normal now.”

Duff’s marriage to Mike Comrie is not her only high profile relationship. As a teen, she dated Joel Madden. He was 26-years-old during the couple’s relationship. According to a previous Inquisitr report, the actress played it a bit coy when she revealed that it was Madden she lost her virginity too.

“I had a 26-year-old boyfriend. So everyone can make their own assumptions about what I was doing.”

She is currently single, and she is focusing on her career and her son. Younger has become a hit on TV Land, and she is getting ready to release a new album. The first single from that album, titled “Sparks,” was released earlier this week, according to Entertainment Weekly. The news outlet said the new single has a very Britney Spears sound. “The album is a range of stuff — I would say definitely in the beginning when I started writing, it was pretty heavy, coming out of my past year of — life. It’s changed since then, which is good because I think that the overall theme too — me, personally, I’m not this super heavy girl. You know? I’m one for the sunshine, so it’s shifted a lot and it feels a lot better to me. There’s a lot of dance — but it is heartfelt. A lot of the songs are about love, a lot of them around about loss, one of them is about Luca. It’s just more easy. It’s not super heavy material. I’m excited for people to hear it. I’m excited about the place we got it to.”

“This Heart” is the song about her son. A release date has not yet been set for the album. Younger airs on TV Land on Tuesday nights.

Bobby Hurley has apparently changed his mind about staying in Buffalo.

The college basketball coach just announced that he will be taking over as the new head coach of the Arizona State Sun Devils, just weeks after the University of Buffalo gave Hurley a contract extension and made him the highest-paid coach in the Mid-American Conference.

The hiring was announced Thursday on Arizona State’s athletics site.

“I am thrilled to announce Bobby Hurley as the new head men’s basketball coach at Arizona State University,” Ray Anderson, ASU vice president for university athletics, said in a statement. “We conducted an exhaustive search and after numerous discussions with many of basketball’s most knowledgeable and respected individuals, one thing became clear: Bobby is the right person to lead this program to new heights.”

The timing of the move seemed a bit strange. Though he was in high demand after taking UB to its best season ever and its first trip to the NCAA Tournament, Bobby Hurley appeared to be committed to staying in Buffalo. A source told the Buffalo News this week that Hurley had agreed to a new contract extension, though other reports indicated that Hurley wasn’t quite happy with the offer and hadn’t signed yet.

The deal on the table was reportedly for $551,000, but Bobby Hurley will likely get a much more substantial raise at Arizona State. He is moving to one of the major college basketball conferences and is replacing a coach — Herb Sendek — who made $1.8 million a season.

Arizona State will be landing one of the rising stars of the college basketball world. Hurley just led Buffalo to a 23-10 record and a Mid-American Conference Championship. In his two years in Buffalo he collected a 42-20 record, winning the East Division championship both years.

Hurley had quite a successful college basketball career himself, leading Duke to consecutive NCAA titles in 1991 and 1992, earning Final Four Most Outstanding Player honors in 1992.

He got a bit of a late start to coaching, joining his brother Danny Hurley’s staff at Wagner in 2010 and then becoming associate head coach at Rhode Island in 2012-13.

Bobby Hurley comes from a strong basketball pedigree as well. His father Bob Hurley, Sr., is a legendary New Jersey high school basketball coach who has won 27 state titles and won more than 1,000 games as coach of the elite St. Anthony’s.

If you’ve stepped into any tourist destination in the last year, you’ve seen the selfie stick. It’s an extendable rod that allows you to mount your camera or smartphone on the end to take a picture of yourself from a distance. This trend may look silly in the hands of passersby, but there’s no denying its popularity — or usefulness.

Last year, it topped the list of most desired Christmas gift, and stores couldn’t carry enough. According to Spencer Soper, writer for Bloomberg, Americans purchased an estimated 100,000 selfie sticks last year during the month before Christmas. It was also named one of the best inventions of the year by Time magazine.

But where did this seemingly silly invention get its start? The story from a previous post on Inquisitr tells Wayne Fromm’s success story when he began selling his invention of the selfie stick in 2006. He thought of the idea when he and his daughter were vacationing in Florence, Italy, four years earlier. When they stopped to take a photo on a popular bridge shrouded with tourists, they had a hard time getting a good view without someone walking into their shot.

From there, he came up with the selfie stick. After going through several prototypes, experimenting with shapes, styles, and extendable handles, Fromm put the selfie stick on the market with immediate success. But is that really where it began?

As it turns out, it’s not. It actually started more than 30 years ago in Japan. Konica Minolta, a camera company, released their Minolta Disc-7, a model years ahead of its time. It had a carrying strap that extended to function as a focusing aid, perfect for taking selfies. The name of this item translates to mean “Extender,” a much less trendy name than “selfie stick.”

It was meant to be used as a device that made taking self portraits possible. However, at the time, the selfie craze hadn’t happened yet, and the extender didn’t take off, to say the least. Many branded it as a useless invention that no one would ever use.

But as it turns out, they were wrong — the device was simply invented prematurely. The selfie stick is one of the biggest inventions of the 21st century, making its way into hundreds of thousands of homes around the world.

Did Fromm steal this idea from the Japanese company? He argues that he didn’t. He told New York magazine, “The word selfie hadn’t been invented.” His claim is that his selfie stick is patented and belongs solely to him.

Janel Parrish has been busy since Pretty Little Liars ended, and her Twitter followers were the first to see the fruits of her labors. Janel just released a new song through YouTube with the help of Vince Pizzinga. The song is called “Heart Made of Stone.”

Ms. Parrish has always held an interest in music, according to sources close to the Pretty Little Liars star, and those close to Janel were pleased to see that she hasn’t let that part of her artistic interests get lost. In the past, Janel recorded a song for the soundtrack of the motion picture Bratz and has also used her singing talents in episodes of Pretty Little Liars. Ms. Parrish also has a history of performing in musical theater productions.

“Music is my passion, singing, performing. I play piano and musical theater is my background… I’m hoping to do more with my music. I did the stage musical ‘Spring Awakening’ recently and it reignited the love I have for singing.”

Ms. Parrish released the song entitled “Heart Made of Stone” on YouTube, providing the link to the single to her Twitter followers yesterday.

“Who’s ready for my first single? I worked on ‘Heart Made Of Stone’ with the wonderful @vincepizzinga. Hope you guys love it,” the Pretty Little Liars actress tweeted.

Janel was surprised and more than a little thrilled to wake up to a response of 32,000 views. Vince Pizzinga co-wrote the song with Parrish and also assisted on the track by producing and mixing “Heart Made of Stone.”

Following the release of “Heart Made of Stone,” Ms. Parrish took a break from her singing ambitions to answer some questions about Mona Vanderwaal’s return to Pretty Little Liars. Let’s face it: fans want the inside scoop on what they can expect when Pretty Little Liars returns. Janel Parrish understands after such a shocking season finale, and she says the new season can be summed up with just one word. Change.

“I think it’s going to change all the girls. We’re going to start to see in season 6, especially in the first episode, how these girls are being punished for their actions and some of it is pretty brutal. I think it’s going to change all of them and when they return to Rosewood, they’re not going to be the same people. It’s dark! We’re being held in an underground prison. It’s crazy, right?!”

So, it seems that Mona is finally on the same side as all of the Pretty Little Liars. Janel assures fans that is the case, or at least for as long as all of their interests coincide. Things may change as the girls free themselves from the dollhouse and return back to life in Rosewood. After all, there’s still much to learn about Charles, and Ms. Parrish assures us that not even Mona knows the whole truth about that mysterious Big A.

“I’m most excited, not only for fans but for myself, to find out more about Charles, to find out who this person is, because I know as much as everyone else does and I’m also dying to know. You should’ve seen us at the table read. We all were like, ‘What? Marlene, who is Charles?’ And she just sits there with her little smile. She’s like, ‘You’ll see.’ We’re like, ‘Marlene, come on!’ “

Scientists said Thursday that CO2 released from massive volcanoes in Siberia turned the ocean acidic and wiped out most of Earth’s sea life during the world’s worst mass extinction event 252 million years ago. The new revelation shows dire similarities to modern climate change.

According to Scientific American, the researchers went to the United Arab Emirates and studied ancient rocks that were on the seafloor at the end of the Permian Period, when the world was ruled by crab-like Trilobites.

The rocks give a natural record of the pH levels in the oceans at that time.

Rachel Wood, a geoscientist at the University of Edinburgh and one of the study’s researchers, said, “This is one of the few cases where we have been able to show that an ocean acidification event happened in deep time.”

“This is significant because we believe our modern oceans are becoming similarly acidic. These findings may help us understand the threat posed to marine life by modern-day ocean acidification.”

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, acidic oceans are wreaking havoc on plant and animal life. Scientists blamed the dropping pH levels for a dramatic decrease in the shark population, as well as recent damage to coral reefs. In the near future, the mollusk farming industry could take a major hit since shellfish have a more difficult time making their shells in the acidic environment.

Of course, the world still has a long ways to go to be comparable to the acidic oceans in the past. According to Nature, since the start of the industrial age, ocean pH levels have decreased.1 units, for the mass extinction 252 million years ago, the levels dropped.7 units over the course of about 10,000 years.

The mass extinction event, sometimes called the Great Dying, has been a mystery to scientists for many years. Some hypotheses on the causes included a population explosion of microbes that spewed methane and oceans starved of oxygen.

The Great Dying occurred over a course of 60,000 years, and the oceans only became acidic in the last 10,000 years, leaving many questions about the first phase of the extinction event.

The volcanic eruptions during that time in Siberia constituted one of the largest volcanic events in the past half a billion years. Nevertheless, the very first part of the extinction event appears to have occurred right before the eruptions, leaving another mystery.

According to the study’s authors there’s still a lot of work to do. Next the researchers will have to find similar rocks in a different location to make sure the acidic oceans weren’t just a problem in the ancient United Arab Emirates area.

“We’ve still got quite a lot of work to do. Everyone always wants the smoking gun for these things.”

A dad was caught on video knocking out his young son inside a store in central California, and now an employee is taking the footage to the internet in hopes of finding the man responsible.

Video of the disturbing incident was uploaded to YouTube on Thursday, the day after the incident occurred. The overhead surveillance footage shows a young boy, who appeared no older than four, running in the back of the store.

Suddenly a grown man runs into the frame toward the boy. As the young boy raises his hands in fear the father delivers either a hard punch or open-handed slap, sending the boy crashing to the ground, stunned and in tears. The man then rips the boy from off the ground, yanking him up by one arm.

Another woman then takes the boy’s hand and escorts him out of the store while the man walks in another direction.

The man narrating the video, a store employee who reportedly uploaded it himself, was filled with anger over it.

“This is the most horrible thing I’ve ever seen,” the man said on the video. “Watch this little kid get knocked out by his dad.”

The video was later shared to Reddit by someone who identified himself as a friend of the employee in the hopes that a viewer might be able to identify the father who punched the young boy.

“I’m trying to share this with as many people as I can so he can be identified,” he wrote.

Not all details are available, including the exact relationship between the man, woman, and the young boy. The man in the video was identified as the boy’s father, but there is no confirmation of their relationship. But the person who shared the video on Reddit hoped that someone might recognize the man, who was reportedly a regular at the store where it was taken.

The perpetrator appeared to be in his early-to-mid 20s, white and was wearing a t-shirt with the number 07 on the back. Though the footage is not entirely clear, here is the best shot of his face:

The person who uploaded the video of the dad knocking out his young son said that the couple left the store without making a purchase, leaving employees without identifying information like a credit card number.

Sponsors of an atheist billboard in Knoxville, Tennessee, who decided to place their sign right next to a Baptist church may not be getting the response they intended or expected.

Several members of the Central Baptist Bearden church near Knoxville — including the Pastor — have taken a stand on the side of the organization behind the sign, the Rationalists of East Tennessee (R.E.T.).

In comments to WATE-TV, Jared Winchester, a self-professed Christian, said the sign didn’t bother him “at all.”

Winchester said he was a supporter of free speech, even if it was speech with which he didn’t share views.

“It’s an essential key in democracy,” he added.

Dr. Wade Bibb, the church’s Pastor, agreed with Winchester’s assessment.

“We’re very strong supporters of freedom of speech,” he told the television station. As for members of his church who might not — none of whom have voiced displeasure with the atheist billboard — he had this to say.

“If you wanted that to be a pro-God message there then I think you should have rented it out and put a pro-God message on there.”

As for Larry Rhoades, the R.E.T. president, he insisted that placement of the billboard (pictured above) had nothing to do with trying to antagonize the church. Rather he was using it as a “recruitment tool.”

Rhoades said that it wasn’t the first time he’d tried to place the billboard in the location. On prior occasions, he ran in to roadblocks with a previous owner, who said that he didn’t want the “controversy” that would come with it.

“Well it’s a recruitment tool, we’re trying to get more members,” he added in comments to the news station.

This isn’t the first time that an atheist billboard has found its way onto the national news scene. In a previous story from the Inquisitr, one billboard in Northern California encouraged passers-by to “Imagine No Religion,” criticizing Christians for turning non-believers into “outsiders” for the whole month of December each year.

As a result, the group put up a slew of signs in every major city within the northern part of the state.

In spite of many expecting — even in the Christian community — for there to be a backlash, the signs in that case came and went with little controversy, as well.

Judge M. Marc Kelly, a judge in Orange County, California, recently handed down the softest sentence possible to a man that inexplicably raped a 3-year-old child. Judge Kelly’s decision, along with his explanation and reasoning behind it, not only raised many eyebrows, but set them aflame, inspiring fury across the nation with calls for the judge to resign.

Kevin Jonas Rojano-Nieto was convicted for child molestation after sodomizing a 3-year-old girl that wandered into a garage where he was playing video games. The minimal sentence handed down to Rojano-Nieto by Judge M. Marc Kelly has led to calls for Judge Kelly’s resignation.

The L.A. Times reports that those calling for Judge Kelly’s resignation include three Orange County supervisors.

Todd Spitzer, Shawn Nelson, and Lisa Bartlett, all Orange County Supervisors, joined together for a press conference in front of the Orange County courthouse to make their collective request that Superior Court Judge M. Marc Kelly step down from his honorable position of judge and resign.

All three agree that Judge Kelly’s sentencing of convicted child molester, Kevin Jonas Rojano-Nieto, was far too lenient and based on suspect reasoning, Judge Kelly sentencing Rojano-Nieto to even less time in prison than the most minimal suggested sentence for such a heinous crime.

Judge Kelly sentenced Rojano-Nieto to 10 years in prison instead of the recommended 25 year minimum sentence for sodomizing the three-year-old child.

But, apparently, more enraging for many was Judge Kelly’s comments explaining his soft-handed sentence, the judge not only seeming to show sympathy for the child molester, but even suggesting the 3-year-old girl played a part in her rape when she “wandered into the garage,” and Rojano-Nieto “inexplicably became sexually aroused.”

In the statement explaining his reasoning behind the minimal sentence, Judge Kelly also cited the allegedly difficult childhood of Rojano-Nieto and the “regret” the convicted child molester expressed for sodomizing the child.

“In looking at the facts of Mr. Rojano’s case, the manner in which this offense was committed is not typical of a predatory, violent brutal sodomy of a child case. Mr. Rojano did not seek out or stalk (the victim). He was playing video games and she wandered into the garage. He inexplicably became sexually aroused but did not appear to consciously intend to harm (the victim) when he sexually assaulted her… there was no violence or callous disregard for (the victim’s) well-being.”

Along with the Orange County Supervisors calling for Judge Kelly to hit the bricks, is a local dad, Bryan Scott, who was infuriated by Judge Kelly’s soft handed sentencing for the child molester, reports CBS Los Angeles.

In fact, Bryan Scott set up a Facebook page calling for Kelly to resign before the Orange County Supervisors.

“Why is this person allowed to sit on this bench and make these rulings?” said Scott in an interview with KCAL-9. “We put [Judge Kelly] there, and if we put him there, someone has to step up and say he needs to be removed from the bench.”

Scott’s Facebook page calling for Judge M. Marc Kelly’s ouster currently has 13,673 “Likes.”

Faye estate is named after its original owner who purchased the property in 1915, sugar plantation executive Hans Peter Faye. To expand his beach front property, the sugar magnate also bought the surrounding properties. This is why Roberts’ property has twice as much beach front space than its neighbors.

Formerly, the home was located much nearer to the beach but because of a tidal wave in 1957, it was pushed to the center of the property. The house’s bottom floor was severely damaged but the top area remained intact. Unfortunately, the cottage adjacent to the main house was destroyed and had to be built from the wreckage.

Online critics point out that whoever gets to purchase the actress’ Hawaiian home sure is one lucky gal or guy. The new owner would score a magnificent piece of property, but would also earn the bragging rights to owning a home once graced by an award-winning actress.

However, POPSUGAR thinks that the actress is making a wrong decision. They wrote, “You know that scene in Pretty Woman where Julia Roberts goes back to the fancy boutique to let the snooty clerk know that she’d made a ‘big mistake… big. Huge!’ by refusing to sell her clothes the day before? Well, we kinda feel like she’s making a similarly big mistake by selling her scenic Hawaiian getaway.”

While waiting for a buyer, Roberts is currently putting up the home and adjoining cottage for rent.

Jennifer Gottleber was faced with a tough diagnosis in the middle of March, colon cancer. Gottleber is a math and science teacher at Keller Harvel Elementary in Keller, Texas. The cancer has kept her out of the classroom for the last few weeks and left many of her students wondering why. The school sent a letter home to all of the parents according to CBS 11 News Dallas and Fort Worth. The parents then informed the students.

At first as expected the students were in shock. Trinity Smith sums it up best when a student finds their favorite teacher may not be around for a while.

It was tough trying to keep going. Everybody was like, ‘Do we really got to go to school tomorrow?

It was then that Trinity and her friend Nadia Schepers decided to help Gottleber in her fight. The two girls along with their siblings began a $1 bracelet campaign to help Gootleber with her medical expenses. The response by some of the students at school has been amazing. Tatiana Schepers, Nadia’s sister, described one encounter.

A lot of people at school will say I’ll give you twenty dollars but I don’t want any change back.

Many teachers can go a lifetime and never know the effect they can have on students. Gottleber was understandably shocked when she learned what her students are doing for her.

It’s just so heart-touching. I can’t even think – I mean I didn’t even think they would do anything like that. It’s really a sweet gesture that they would do something like that.

Gottleber goes on to give advice to others who might want to help someone who is going through a situation like she finds herself in.

Even if you think it’s just a small gesture – a card or just a smile or a hug – just do it. Because it means a lot more to that person than they probably think it does.

The $1 bracelet sale is reaching out beyond the border of the school this April 14. The students will be selling the bracelets at a local Chick-Fil-A between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. for those in the area. Chick-Fil-A is also helping in the cause. A portion of the proceeds from their food sales will be donated to help Gottleber with her medical expenses.

Jennifer Gottleber is certainly more than just a teacher to her students. Most of us had the one teacher who inspired us to be better. I’d love to hear who might have inspired you in the comments below.
