Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice’s first trailer is allegedly going to be released with Mad Max: Fury Road.

Collider has reported that the premiere for the hugely anticipated sequel to Man Of Steel‘s trailer will come out on May 15, just over two weeks after Marvel’s Avengers: Age Of Ultron has been released, too.

Warner Bros.’ reasoning is that if they were to release the first clip for Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice before Age Of Ultron hits cinemas, it would simply get mixed up in all the hype and hysteria that Joss Whedon’s superhero follow-up is currently generating.

By releasing it on May 15, this publicity will have died down substantially and Warner Bros. will be able to change the conversation to that of the Batman and Superman hybrid. This will also give them the chance to amp up anticipation for DC’s burgeoning cinematic universe, which will include the likes of Suicide Squad, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and Justice League movies over the next few years.

All in all, it’s pretty good news for movie-buffs. Not only are we just over a month away from Avengers: Age Of Ultron, which is also set to be preceded by the latest trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens too, but we now seem to have a definitive date for the first footage of Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice.

Lucky attendees at last year’s Comic-Con were given a quick glimpse of Henry Cavill’s Superman and Ben Affleck’s Batman eyeing each other up in a 30-second teaser for the blockbuster. Since then though, movie fans have been eagerly waiting for an official trailer, which they expected to arrive at some point in early 2015. But as the days in January, February, and now March rolled away fans began to grow impatient, and various dates that previous rumors suggested proved to be incorrect.

The latest one appears to be more concrete, though. Not only are Age Of Ultron’s release and the latest trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens both out of the way, but since Mad Max: Fury Road is also owned by Warner Bros., and is their first big budget release of the summer, more fans will now be enticed to see George Miller’s fourth installment to his Mad Max franchise now because of the chance to see the first Batman v Superman trailer.

It’s even been suggested that Warner Bros. might just jump the gun and release Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice‘s trailer a few days before May 15. Whatever happens, though, it will almost certainly be on the big screen on that date.

A cat decided to play with birthday balloons, getting a few stuck on him in a fun viral video. According to News 3, Kara Osbak decided to film her 8-month-old cat having some fun with her husband’s birthday balloons. Little did she realize — the internet loves cat videos!

“I prepared a small avalanche of balloons to fall on on him when he opened the bedroom door in the morning.. It kinda worked. But then our 8mo kitten got involved and it escalated quickly,” Kara said. Over 30,000 people have watched the YouTube video since it was posted on Friday.

According to the Irish Mirror, the cat got extremely playful with the balloons, many of which were sticking to his fur due to static electricity. The cat wasn’t spooked however, and continued pawing at the balloons, clearly entertaining himself.

The UFC’s Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo are scheduled for a reckoning this Summer. The two power-house mixed martial artists are scheduled to face off July 15th at UFC 189 in Las Vegas, Aldo bringing with him the championship belt and only one loss in his over-a-decade long career, and McGregor coming off a relentless fighting rampage with 13 straight wins.

But with months to go before what promises to be a ferocious battle, McGregor and Aldo have already been seemingly ready to tear each other’s heads off, and have constantly been in the other’s face while accompanying UFC president, Dana White, on a UFC 189 World Tour to promote the upcoming violent Vegas gala.

The latest Conor McGregor vs Aldo brouhaha erupted Tuesday in Dublin as the UFC 189 World Tour reached its conclusion and a fevered pitch, reports FOX Sports.

As seen in the video below, Aldo lights this latest fire, before a packed house of Irish Conor McGregor fans, going on a rant in his Brazilian-Portuguese native tongue. A translator blows the roof off the place when it’s revealed that Aldo’s rant includes his claim, “I’m the king of Dublin!”

Along with his hometown crowd, Conor McGregor is not pleased with the Brazilian’s affront and proceeds on a rant of his own before quickly reaching around a befuddled Dana White and grabbing Aldo’s championship belt. Conor McGregor then leads the crowd in a boisterous chant, raising the belt high and screaming “You’re looking at the king!”

Aldo goes bananas, held back only by Dana White before security floods the stage and retrieves the belt from Conor McGregor, averting a months-early McGregor/Aldo bout.

This is just the latest Conor McGregor beef with Aldo during the UFC 189 World Tour, which began in Brazil before fighting its way to this final round in Ireland.

The Conor McGregor vs Aldo fuse was officially lit January 18th of this year when McGregor delivered one of his trademark beat-downs on Dennis Siver, Conor raining down blows to earn a technical knockout while Aldo watched from the crowd.

The Siver victory secured, as seen below, Conor McGregor instantly jumps to his feet, locates Aldo, and tears over the cage after him, or at least to give him the maniacal McGregor stare-down.

Stare downs and attempts at intimidation don’t win fights in the UFC, however, particularly not against a seasoned champion like Jose Aldo who hasn’t lost a fight since 2005. Of course Conor McGregor is pretty well-seasoned himself and perhaps just that confident in his abilities to overwhelm Aldo.

McGregor certainly made a case for this notion after the Dublin ruckus, making a bold prediction in what has become another Conor McGregor trademark.

“I’ll be done in one,” said McGregor.

Legendary singer Joni Mitchell was reportedly rushed to the hospital on Tuesday shortly after an emergency 911 call was placed from her Los Angeles home.

Paramedics arrived at Mitchell’s home on Tuesday afternoon around 2:30 p.m., according to TMZ, responding to an emergency call, which referenced an “unconscious female.”

However, the report further states that Joni Mitchell remained alert while being transported to the hospital.

“Mitchell was in intensive care late Tuesday. It’s unclear what prompted the medical emergency, but it appears to be quite serious.”

The 71-year-old singer and songwriter has maintained a longtime career in the music industry for more than five decades, inspiring and influencing numerous female singers and songwriters along the way.

Mitchell made headlines in February with comments about comparisons between herself and Taylor Swift that were made during an interview with New York.

“I’ve never heard Taylor’s music. I’ve seen her. Physically, she looks similarly small-hipped and high cheekbones. I can see why they cast her. I don’t know what her music sounds like, but I do know this — that if she’s going to sing and play me, good luck.”

During the same interview, Mitchell opened up about her recent diagnosis of a skin disease called Morgellons. Joni stated that the disease was incurable, describing the condition as “fibers in a variety of colors protrude out of my skin like mushrooms after a rainstorm.”

The “Big Yellow Taxi” singer also stated that “they cannot be forensically identified as animal, vegetable, or mineral.”

Joni Mitchell received her very first Grammy award in 1969 — 46 years ago — when her album, Clouds, won the “Best Folk Performance” category.

Since that first Grammy win, Mitchell added eight more Grammys to her expanding collection between 1974 and 2008 — including a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002.

Between 1995 and 1997, Joni received three of the highest honors and most prestigious forms of recognition in the music industry — Billboard’s Century Awards (1995), the Polar Music Prize (1996), and an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.

The Canadian singer was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame back in 1981 and received her own star on Canada’s Walk of Fame in 2000.

It’s amazing how one dinner can save the fate of a reality show. When hip hop artist Ray J walked out on Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood last week, the show’s creator Mona Scott-Young was quick to remedy the problem.

Brandi’s younger brother took the noble step by quitting the VH1 reality show saying that it had been affecting his relationship with girlfriend Princess Love. He pointed out that the program only showed the negative aspects of their relationship and never the positive ones. Ray J also wanted the show to feature his entrepreneurial pursuits.

Knowing that the artist is one of the few names that keeps the show running, Scott-Young invited the couple to a renegotiation over dinner. The three agreed to a balanced story line that depicts both the good and the bad in the couple’s relationship. Scott-Young insisted on keeping the drama because after all, it’s the main factor that rakes in the money for the franchise.

Ray J agreed to Scott-Young’s new terms and perhaps as gesture of good faith, she sealed the deal with a rating bonus. This time, the higher the ratings, the sweeter the deal for Ray J.

The hip hop/RnB artist had his reasons for prioritizing his relationship over the show. The two have been going through some tough times in their relationship since Princess Love’s arrest last February. She was arrested for domestic abuse and battery and guess who the victim was? No other than her boyfriend, Ray J.

According to police reports, it happened on a night when Ray J returned to their hotel suite from a strip joint with the reality show’s TV producers. The offended girlfriend definitely wasn’t cool about it and went into an angry fit. She attacked Ray J inflicting several physical injuries on the hip hop artist. He had a few broken ribs and a busted lip.

Moreover, a source from the hotel even reported to the authorities that they heard Princess Love screaming, “I’m gonna kill you!”

Despite all the commotion, Ray J took it in stride. He never hit his girlfriend back and even bailed her out. He also paid 10 grand for Princess Love’s lawyer. So when Ray J said that he wanted to leave the show and focus on building a life with Princess, perhaps he truly meant it.

It doesn’t seem as if Joe and Teresa Giudice are as hard up for money as some reports claim. On Tuesday, Extra! posted a video interview that it did with Joe Giudice at his home in New Jersey. During the interview, Joe talked about whether Teresa will return for another season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

Joe said that they would need to get a “very big” paycheck in order to return to the show. He also admitted that they have not received an offer from Bravo yet to secure Teresa’s return upon her release from prison, which isn’t expected to happen until early 2016.

“The numbers would have to be very big in order to go back so um, we’ll see… as of right now there’s nothing.”

Joe’s answer seems to indicate that Bravo would need to offer more money than they did for seasons past in order to get them back on the show. In February 2014, NJ.com reported that Teresa made $650,000 each season.

While Teresa’s sitting in prison, the network is proceeding with the show’s seventh season. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, executive producer Andy Cohen revealed yesterday that casting is underway for the upcoming season. Andy also admitted that it may be a while until casting is finalized.

About two weeks ago, Andy told E! News that no one has been cast yet. He also revealed that he’s taking a wait and see approach with Teresa, whom he hasn’t seen since she went to prison in early January but keeps tabs on via her good friend and fellow New Jersey housewife Dina Manzo.

“You know what, I haven’t spoken to Teresa yet. Her access to the outside world is obviously limited. Certainly I’m thinking about her. I woke up thinking about her this morning actually. I’m kind of checking in through Dina to find out how she’s doing and by all accounts she’s hanging in there and doing okay. And we’ll watch what happens with that.”

During his interview with Extra!, Joe also admitted that he now appreciates Teresa much more.

“When you have four kids you have to stay strong. Her being away definitely makes me appreciate her way more, a lot more, and you know everything she did.”

As for Teresa Giudice’s everyday life in prison, Joe Giudice revealed that she’s still getting her hair and nails done like she did during her The Real Housewives of New Jersey days. He even said that he and their four daughters once had to wait an hour during their prison visit to see Teresa because she was getting her hair done, which he found “a little annoying.”

“She’s got a little group she hangs out with and does her thing with every day, and who she goes to the gym with and who she hangs out with, and who does her hair and who does her nails… they have their little thing going every day.”

Kevin Love may not be “best friends” with LeBron James, but that’s OK because as it turns out, LeBron really only has three good friends in the NBA.

Recently, Cleveland Cavaliers’ Kevin Love has caused a bit of a controversy in the sports world. According to a recent interview with ESPN’s Mike & Mike, Love feels that he had the team’s star player are “not best friends.” Such a revelation may not be as big of a deal as previously imagined, however.

In a recent follow up interview with Joe Vardon of Northeast Ohio Media Group, James revealed that even though he and Love may not be “best friends,” he really isn’t “friends” with a whole lot of people in the NBA. James stated as follows.

“People get so infatuated with the best of friends, things of that nature,” James said. “First of all, I’ve got three very good friends in this league, and that’s Carmelo [Anthony], and that’s C.P. [Chris Paul], and that’s D-Wade. And after that I have a bunch of teammates. I have guys I ride for every day.”

All of this supposed drama came on the heels of a recent Instagram picture from James, which featured several of his Cleveland teammates, with the exception of Love. Despite all of the fuss surrounding the lack of best-friendliness on the Cavaliers, LeBron seems intent on remaining focused on one thing — the success of the team.

“In order for us to reach our potential, the Big Three has to be big and it can’t just be Kyrie one night, me one night, and Kev. We all have to be clicking at the same time in order for us to be successful.”

This determination to remain focused on winning games seems to be an effective strategy for James. According to statistics amassed by Joe Vardon, James is averaging 25.9 points, 7.1 assists, and 6.4 boards during a recent stretch of games. James is not the only Cavalier performing well. Kyrie Irving is currently averaging 23.1 points and 5.1 assists. Love is also doing well this season, with a current average of 16 points and 10 rebounds.

These rather impressive statistics seem to suggest that the Cavaliers as an organization have not allowed this behind-the-scenes drama to affect their performance on the court. As Kyle Newport from Bleacher Report points out, if the Cavaliers go onto win the championship this season, then these talks of personal drama will likely fade away. It is also worth pointing out that should the Cavaliers win the championship this year, Lebron will have as many championships as he has friends — three.

Researchers have uncovered a mysterious mathematical pattern within fast radio bursts that originated outside of our solar system, leading some to question whether the signals could be evidence of alien life.

Fast Radio Bursts are a unique type of signal, first noted in 2001, according to the New Scientist. Lasting just milliseconds, they appear from nowhere, and have baffled scientists since they were first detected. Now, researchers studying the dispersion patterns of the signals have determined that the delay between the first and last waves of each radio burst always presents as a multiple of 187.5. According to them, no known natural process can account for the phenomenon.

When each radio burst arrives, it blankets a range of radio frequencies. Traveling through space, however, electrons get scattered, meaning the higher energy, high frequency portion of the signal arrives before the lower frequencies. The difference between the two is called the dispersion measure, and in each of the ten recorded radio bursts, that measurement is always a multiple of 187.5

John Learned at the University of Hawaii in Manoa, along with Michael Hippke of the Institute for Data Analysis in Neukirchen-Vluyn, Germany, are responsible for the discovery, according to the Daily Mail. They contend that there is only a five in 10,000 chance that the pattern found in the alien radio bursts is a coincidence.

“There is something really interesting we need to understand,” Hippke noted. “This will either be new physics, like a new kind of pulsar, or, in the end, if we can exclude everything else, an ET.”

Though it is unknown what causes the fast radio bursts, astronomers have postulated a number of theories. Flaring stars or white dwarf mergers have been advanced as the possible genesis of the radio bursts, though the signals are not found near known pulsing stars in our galaxy. The collision of neutron stars, or the sudden collapse of one (known as a Blitzar), have also been suggested as the sources of the radio bursts. Inevitably, some have also postulated that the signals could be of intelligent origin, marking our first proof of alien life outside of our solar system.

Last year, a fast radio burst was detected by the Arecibo radio telescope, as the Inquisitr previously reported. Measurement of that signal seemed to indicate that the alien radio bursts originated from outside our galaxy, though Hippke and Learned now assert that the signals could come from within the Milky Way.

In a judicial decision that stunned reproductive rights advocates, the first woman in the U.S. was sentenced for feticide on Monday in Indiana, receiving a sentence of thirty years in prison. However, her sentence was suspended by ten years, so she is likely facing twenty years behind bars.

The fate of 33-year-old Purvi Patel was determined to be 20 years in prison on charges of feticide, an act that causes the death of a fetus, and neglect of a dependent. Of interest, the neglect of a dependent sentence was much steeper. She received a 30-year sentence on the felony neglect charge, 10 of which were suspended. A six-year sentence for feticide, or intentional death of a fetus, will be served concurrently with the neglect of a dependent charge.

Patel arrived at St. Joseph Hospital in Mishawaka, Indiana, in July 2013, complaining of severe vaginal bleeding. A daughter of a conservative Hindu family, sex outside of marriage was a sin that she did not wish to admit to, though she had been impregnated by a co-worker approximately 25 weeks earlier, prosecutors say. She never sought prenatal care for the pregnancy and panicked when she went into labor, defense attorneys argue, giving birth to a stillborn infant and throwing it in a dumpster. Prosecutors alleged the baby was not born dead but died within seconds of birth, likely a result of extreme prematurity.

Infants born around the 24-25 week mark are generally considered “viable” in the medical community, or capable of living, but not without significant intervention. They lack the ability to maintain body temperature and their lungs lack a substance called surfactant that allows them to breathe properly. While many states allow abortion prior to 20 weeks, and some even further along in pregnancy, it is still a very controversial issue with gray areas that leave both pro and anti-abortion activists up in arms.

Deepa Iyer, Activist-in-Residence at the University of Maryland’s Asian American Studies Program and former director of South Asian Americans Leading Together, says this sentence is a step back in reproductive rights for women everywhere in the U.S. She also said this was not the first minority woman to be charged with feticide in Indiana, but that charge was dropped in 2011.

“Purvi Patel’s conviction amounts to punishment for having a miscarriage and then seeking medical care, something that no woman should worry would lead to jail time. Immigrant women of color, such as Bei Bei and Purvi, remain vulnerable to the exploitation of laws like these in a myriad of ways, as we have seen in how they have been treated by the state of Indiana. The cultural issues that the prosecution decided to drag into this case reflect stereotypes about Asian-American women and reproductive health which may not necessarily be true in this case.”

Prosecutors allege the Patel ingested some type of drug that caused her body to expel the baby, called an abortifacient, which sometimes can be something as common as an overdose of herbal remedies. However, toxicology reports failed to find any drugs in her body, and she eventually admitted to the Emergency Department Doctor that she had given birth and the baby had died and was now in a dumpster. The baby’s body was located soon afterward and Patel was then arrested.

First Woman In U.S. Sentenced For Feticide, Neglect of 25-Week Fetus is an article from: The Inquisitr News

John Bradford might want to take a minute before he clicks send next time.

The Kansas state representative shot off a seemingly flip and condescending response to a constituent about an upcoming bill that opponents say would effectively ban Uber from the state, but the private correspondence didn’t stay that way for long. The angry voter decided to take her plight to the internet, sharing the letter with the local Kansas City page on Reddit.

The woman, who goes by Thad-Jarvis on Reddit, explained that her husband is blind and relies on Uber to get around. She believes a proposed set of regulations, which are likely to pass, would drive Uber out of the state.

Thad-Jarvis shared with Reddit her worries with the bill:

“My interpretation of the proposed amendment is that it would become too costly for someone to be an Uber driver due to stricter regulations on insurance as well as requiring a business and chauffeur’s license. The whole concept of Uber is to allow everyday people to become part of ride-sharing. My husband calls this “financial intimidation”, but I’m not sure if there’s a technical term for it.”

The woman also decided to write a letter to John Bradford, her representative. After laying out her objections to the bill and asking Bradford to oppose it, this was his response.

“I received your email. I don’t need it, so I am sending it back to you.”

Little did John Bradford know that he would be sending it to the entire internet as well. The Reddit post quickly went viral, reaching the front page of the link-sharing site.

It turns out that Bradford is already in the middle of a heated legislative issue. He is part of a group of legislators investigating a Democratic representative who called a bill racist. The bill would repeal an existing law allowing undocumented immigrants to pay in-state tuition at Kansas colleges and universities.

A special investigation committee is meeting Wednesday to discuss whether the remarks from Rep. Valdenia Winn contained “inflammatory language.”

The measure (and Bradford’s involvement) earned the scorn of columnist Mary Sanchez from the Kansas City Star, who wrote,

“In a perfect legislature, people who make laws governing everyone would have a firm grasp of the damage that institutionalized racism has caused and still holds within society. They would understand that kind people, people without flagrant prejudices, exist within biased systems. But they are swept up by the current as policies play out to harm or favor one group over another.”

“Cooler heads would have taken the route of trying to sit down with the professor and grasp her points. But that’s not what we’re dealing with in Topeka.”

The Inquisitr reached out to John Bradford for a reply on the seemingly rude email, but he has not yet responded.

After three years of marriage, social media darling Amanda Dufner and pro golfer Jason Dufner called it quits.

According to court documents, the couple filed their divorce last March 16, but they had already been separated since February 17. The Dufner divorce is still pending approval but is expected to be finalized by April this year.

The two did not make any public comments about the issue and many are speculating about what caused the split. No clear reasons were revealed, but their settlement indicated that “there had been an irretrievable breakdown of marriage” and “a complete incompatibility of temperament that the parties can no longer live together.”

It’s a sad ending to a fairytale avidly followed by the couple’s social media followers, but Amanda will be back on the market as a sizzling hot millionaire. The settlement’s terms guaranteed that she will be coming out of the divorce with $2.5 million. Jason, on the other hand, will be able to retain ownership of their two homes which are both located in Auburn, Alabama.

The Dufners have been getting a lot of attention since March of 2013 when Jason became famous for his “Dufnering” meme. Five months later, during the PGA Championship, Jason was again caught on camera patting his wife’s butt. Pictures, GIF animations, and videos of the couple’s intimate moment circulated all over the internet, but the golfer was too excited about his win to address the numerous comments. Since then, Amanda gained thousands of followers on her Instagram account, which she deactivated this week.

The couple’s unfortunate love story started when Amanda was still a college student. When they were introduced to each other, Amanda was still a student at the University of Alabama. On the other hand, Jason was already a graduate of Auburn University. They were introduced by a mutual friend and the two immediately clicked. They had a memorable first date, but because of Jason’s hectic golf schedule, they had to stop seeing each other. Some Sony PS Vita owners will get refunds, according to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). The FTC approved yesterday a final order for a settlement between the agency, Sony, and Deutsche LA.

Deutsche LA was the advertising agency Sony hired to advertise and market the PS Vita handheld device in 2011 and 2012 – both before and after Sony launched the device.

The FTC sued Sony and Deutsche LA in November of 2014, according to an FTC report.

The original complaint by the FTC alleged that both companies, Sony and Deutsche LA, violated numerous consumer protection laws by misleading consumers with false advertising.

The FTC also alleged that Deutsche LA violated the 2009 Guide for Disclosure and the updated Dot com Disclosure of 2013 by using deceptive product endorsements via undisclosed Twitter advertising campaigns.

According to Forbes, Sony and Deutsche started the $50 million advertising campaign in February of 2012.

The ads and endorsements ultimately led to consumers buying a product that did not do what Sony promised it would — and the companies did this knowingly, according to the FTC.

The final order, approved yesterday by a unanimous vote of 5–0, orders Sony to give eligible PS Vita owners “either a $25 cash or credit refund, or a $50 merchandise voucher” good for use on certain games or services, according to the FTC court filing.

Eligible purchasers can opt for a check, or if they have a PSN, a credit to their PSN account.

“‘Eligible Purchaser’ means any consumer who purchased the PlayStation Vita before June 1, 2012 and did not return it for a full refund.”

The FTC got wind of the false advertising and deceptive product reviews, investigated the claims, and ultimately sided with consumers, saying that the Sony PS Vita didn’t work as promised in November of 2014 by announcing the settlement.

The FTC flat out states that not only do the live gaming and multiplayer gaming features not exist, but that the cross play feature requires a separate purchase — a purchase Sony did not disclose in the ad.

Additionally, the remote playing feature Sony specifically advertised to work with Killzone 3 in the TV ad did not work either.

In fact, the FTC said, “Sony never enabled remote play on its ‘Killzone 3′ game title.”

As for Deutsche LA, the FTC says the company got its employees to “review” and “advertise” the PS Vita from their personal accounts. The employees were told what to write and to append the hashtag #gamechanger to them, but it did not instruct them to disclose they worked for Deutsche LA.

In the final orders between the FTC, Sony, and Deutsche LA, each company respectively agreed to stop the false advertising.

In addition, Deutsche LA has to take the tweets down that don’t comply with the disclosure guidelines while Sony has to pay back PS Vita owners and set up a phone bank for owners with questions. Any non-compliance or violation of the order could result in fines.

Patrick Cherry has been stripped of his gun and shield after the NYPD detective was caught on video berating an Uber driver in a racially tinged tirade.

The incident, which took place this weekend on the West Side Highway in Greenwich Village, was caught on tape by a passenger in the backseat. The driver reportedly honked at Cherry and gave him the middle finger after Cherry tried to park his unmarked police car along the highway.

Cherry pulled over the driver and launched into a tirade, while the driver said little in return.

On Wednesday the NYPD took action, removing Patrick Cherry from his post on the department’s elite Joint Terrorism Task Force and sticking him on desk duty. The department also publicly condemned his behavior.

“No good cop should watch that video without a wince,” Commissioner Bill Bratton said at a Wednesday press conference. “Because all good cops know that officer just made their jobs a little bit harder.”

“In that kind of encounter, anger like that is unacceptable,” Bratton continued. “In any encounter, discourtesy and obscene language like that is unacceptable.

“That officer’s behavior reflected poorly on everyone who wears our uniform.”

The incident had racial overtones, as Cherry often referred to the driver’s nationality and mocked his accent.

“Stop it with your mouth, stop it with your, ‘For what, sir?’ You understand me? I don’t know what [epithet] planet you think you’re on right now,” the officer shouted at the driver.

Cherry went on to shout at the driver and mock him further.

“I don’t know where you’re coming from or where you think you’re appropriate in doing that,” Cherry yelled through the car’s window.”That’s not the way it works. How long have you been in this country?”

“Almost how long? Two years,” the driver responded.

“I got news for you, and use this lesson – don’t ever do that again,” Cherry responded. “The only reason you’re not in handcuffs going to jail and getting summonses in the precinct is because I have things to do. That’s the only reason that’s not happening, because this isn’t important enough to me, you’re not important enough.”

Patrick Cherry is going before a Civilian Complaint Review Board, and if he is found guilty of berating the Uber driver it could be a permanent mark on his record. The ultimate punishment — up to firing — would be up to Bratton.

Mark Wahlberg, one of the Boston’s most popular and well-known natives, will play a pivotal role in the production of the newest feature film about the Boston bombings, as announced by Deadline on Wednesday.

The film, Patriots’ Day, will focus on Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis and his firsthand account of the tragic events surrounding the Boston bombings. The movie will be assisted by 60 Minutes, as they will provide footage and research for the movie. Wahlberg, 43, will be one of the producers of the movie, but as Deadline mentions, he is hoping to play the role of Davis.

As for the content of the movie, it’s being described as an “intense thriller” that will cover the five-day manhunt that eventually led to the capturing of one of the perpetrators of the bombings, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

Terry Press, the President of CBS Films, tells Deadline that the conglomerate of people working on the movie will help tell the moving story surrounding the tragic events.

“There is nothing more compelling than a real story populated by real heroes. The team that we have assembled for this project is determined to give audiences a very personal look at what occurred during the days when the eyes of the world were on the city of Boston and how a group of contemporary patriots faced this crisis.”

The days Press is referring to are when both Boston and the country were living under fear as brothers Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the men responsible for the tragedy, fled from the scene of their crime. Reports circulated that Boston wasn’t their last stop, as they were eyeing other places to destroy, including Chicago and New York City.

Tamerlan died following a shootout with the police. His brother, Dzhokhar, is currently in custody and on trial as he awaits his fate.

Patriots’ Day is the second scheduled film that will be produced to cover the Boston bombings, as the movie Boston Strong is also currently in production. Twentieth Century Fox recently snatched up Swedish filmmaker Daniel Espinosa to work on the film after the company announced plans for the movie last year.

Alongside Wahlberg, Scott Stuber, Dylan Clark, Stephen Levinson, and Michael Radutzky will produce the film, with Nichols Nesbitt serving as the executive producer. As Deadline mentions, this movie is the first time that CBS Films is partnering with 60 Minutes.

Therefore, they’re looking to finalize an A-list leading man, and Wahlberg fits the description. What makes Wahlberg a likely candidate to play the role of Ed Davis in this movie is that the Ted 2 actor isn’t scheduled for any upcoming movies.

Give Michele Bachmann an angstrom of credit, irrespective of your political stripe. In an era in which our polarized populace has become largely desensitized to inflammatory political rhetoric, the former Congresswoman is still something of a show-stopper.

As an outspoken star of the rightmost end of the American political spectrum, Bachmann is known for incendiary quips and analogies, including a 2009 comment implying that Democrat presidents were responsible for swine flu outbreaks and a 2011 interview in which she suggested that the HPV vaccine causes mental retardation. Now she’s rattling cages by comparing U.S. President Barack Obama with Andreas Lubitz, the 27 year-old German co-pilot who allegedly crashed a Germanwings plane on purpose, killing all 150 people on board.

The Huffington Post reports that Bachmann posted the incendiary comments on her official Facebook page on Tuesday.

“With his Iran deal, Barack Obama is for the 300 million souls of the United States what Andreas Lubitz was for the 150 souls on the German Wings flight — a deranged pilot flying his entire nation into the rocks. After the fact, among the smoldering remains of American cities, the shocked survivors will ask, why did he do it?”

In her post, Michele Bachmann was ostensibly referring to the Obama Administration’s ongoing efforts at negotiating a deal with Iran which would curtail that country’s nuclear program.

Ben Dreyfus of Mother Jones noted that the post went largely unnoticed by national media outlets for about 24 hours. The backlash via social media was swift and certain. Although some folks supported her sentiments, the most vociferous replies were highly critical of her comments.

Bachmann’s opponents likely see her recent comments as a form of business as usual for a high-profile political voice set on retaining her place in the country’s ideological milieu. After all, the 58 year-old former U.S. Representative might still have some gas left in her proverbial tank as the country heads into another high-states election cycle.

But with respect to the loved ones of those who were killed in the crash of Germanwings Flight 9525, they likely know little—and care little—of Michele Bachmann’s ultimate political aspirations. Unfortunately, grief and sorrow often find an unsympathetic audience when cast into the proving grounds of the political arena.

Lamar Odom has reportedly continued to struggle with drug addiction. According to a new report, the former NBA star is currently on drugs, and his friends and family, including estranged wife Khloe Kardashian, are extremely concerned.

On April 1, an In Touch Weekly source revealed Lamar Odom’s current drug of choice was called “sherm.”

“[Lamar Odom] has been doing an old-school drug called ‘sherm,’ which is taking a joint and dipping it in liquid PCP. It’s really dangerous and can make you violent.”

Lamar Odom split from Khloe Kardashian at the end of 2013, but so far, the couple hasn’t finalized their divorce. In early 2013, reports claimed Lamar Odom was using drugs and having an affair. While a number of women came forward in the summer of 2013, Kardashian stood by her man for several months before ultimately filing for divorce on December 13, 2013.

After filing, Kardashian was left hanging after Lamar Odom reportedly refused to send in his response to the paperwork. Without Odom, divorce proceedings couldn’t begin, and he had made himself unavailable. Some even claimed he was in hiding, although he recently surfaced in Los Angeles.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Lamar Odom appeared to be on the verge of reconciling with Kardashian just two months ago. In a report by OK! Magazine, via Real Mr. Housewife, at the end of February, a source claimed the couple had been spending time together for months in hopes of possibly getting back together.

“They’ve spent many nights together in the past couple of months. Lamar is so sorry for everything and is begging Khloe to take him back. He’s been sober for six months and is determined to prove that he’s a changed man. He wants them to renew their vows!”

Although the couple has been through a lot together since tying the knot in September of 2009, the source claimed Kardashian was “seriously considering” ripping up their divorce papers and recommitting herself to their marriage.

Unfortunately, according to the In Touch Weekly source, Lamar Odom’s alleged reunion with Kardashian will likely be short-lived, as she and others close to the basketball star are urging him to go to rehab.

“[Lamar Odom]’s friends and family and Khloe are all pushing him to get into rehab. Lamar needs serious, serious help.”

Lamar Odom has kept a low profile since he and Kardashian split, and while he briefly signed with an NBA team last year, he doesn’t appear to be playing professional basketball at this time.

Theia is a dog with many lives. The bully breed mix is about a year old and has suffered more than any animal should. The stray dog was hit by a car, clubbed in the head with a hammer, then left for dead in a box in a ditch in Washington state, according to the Associated Press.

It’s not known who abused Theia, who showed up ill and covered in dirt at a farm. Prior to her near-death experience, she was a regular fixture at Moses Lake, a farming town about 100 miles west of Spokane, Washington. Her meager existence consisted of people feeding her scraps of food, on which she barely survived.

Vets pieced together what happened to her by her many wounds. Sara Mellado kindly took the dog into her home after learning about her plight on Facebook and named her. Sara set up a GoFundMe page to help raise funds for the extensive veterinary care Theia needs, including surgery. Mellado told the Associated Press the following.

“I’m assuming that the person who did this meant to put her out of her misery. Considering everything that she’s been through, she’s incredibly gentle and loving. She’s a true miracle dog, and she deserves a good life. She’s a puppy. She’s outgoing, lovable, up for meeting new people.”

Theia amazingly survived the abuse, but has a dislocated jaw, leg injuries, and a caved-in sinus cavity, according to ABC Channel 15.

The dog is receiving care at WSU’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Pullman. Theia had a CT scan of her skull to determine what damage went unseen. Veterinary resident Andrea Sundholm indicated that, because of multiple nasal bone fractures, the scan revealed a condition that constricts the nasal passages and restricts air flow into the lungs.

Because of the damage she’s suffered, Theia is forced to open her mouth to breathe when she attempts to breathe through her nose. But opening her mouth is difficult because of her dislocated jaw.

Although her jaw is healing on its own, fixing the nasal-bone fractures will require a stent to be surgically inserted, according to Sundholm.

Despite Theia’s horrendous treatment by unknown abusers, the University indicated that the dog is friendly and loves to kiss people’s cheeks.

According to the GoFundMe page, over $12,000 has been raised for Theia’s treatment and surgery has been scheduled for April 22.

Another animal, a cat rescuer named “Bruce Almighty” was also severely abused, according to an article in the Inquisitr. Someone had tightly wrapped electrical tape around his legs, cutting off circulation and leading to tissue damage. Rescuers are hopeful that they can save his legs. But the Regina Humane Society is seeking information leading to the identification of his abusers.

According to a post by WWE Hall of Famer Edge (Adam Copeland) on Twitter, the filming has wrapped up for the upcoming WWE Studios release Interrogation. The film co-stars current WWE manager Lana (C.J. Perry), and the reason that she has been off WWE television for several weeks (except for, of course, WrestleMania 31) is because she was filming her role in the movie.

This is the first WWE Studios production that Lana has starred in, although she does have experience in film prior to entering WWE. Lana has appeared in several television shows, as well as a couple of movies in the past. She was professionally trained in acting at the Groundling School in Los Angeles, so it should come as no surprise that a girl who attended Florida State University plays the role of Lana, The Ravishing Russian, so well on WWE television.

Lana will make her full-time return to WWE television this week on WWE SmackDown, which was taped Tuesday night in Fresno, California.

The question now becomes, what direction will WWE take the Lana character? The company has clearly been teasing heat between Lana and her real-life and on-air boyfriend Rusev. The first indication of a possible split happened on the March 9 edition of WWE RAW, when Lana agreed to put Rusev’s WWE United States title on the line at WrestleMania 31 in a match against John Cena. Lana was then off television for a couple of weeks, with fans left to assume that Rusev was perhaps angry at her for agreeing to the title match. Lana returned at WrestleMania 31 and inadvertently cost Rusev his championship when he ran into her on the ring apron. Lana fell to the ground, sold an ankle injury, and Rusev walked to the back without her.

A split with Rusev might not be the best idea for Lana, but it appears to be the direction the company is going at this time. It’s certainly possible that WWE could change directions, and as viewers will see on this week’s edition of SmackDown, Lana is continuing to appear at Rusev’s side.

One of the more concerning aspects of an on-air split between Lana and Rusev (besides the fact that it’s hard to imagine where Lana could possibly take the Russian character without Rusev) is the effect it could have on the couple’s real life relationship. Often times in wrestling history, it has occurred where an on-air split leads to a real-life split. Rusev and Lana recently purchased an expensive mansion in Nashville, Tennessee together and appear to be a very happy couple. A television split between Lana and her boyfriend could have a negative impact on their real-life relationship.

Khloe Kardashian is allegedly so worried about her little brother Rob Kardashian that she’s enlisted the help of her estranged husband Lamar Odom to help her troubled sibling.

Hollywood Life reports that Rob Kardashian is battling depression and weight issues and while Kim Kardashian believes her baby bro needs some tough love, Khloe, who has always seemingly been the closest to Rob wants Lamar, who has always been like a brother to Rob, to help him through whatever issues he may be facing, as Lamar is no stranger to inner demons.

It seems the Kardashian women have been asking the men in their lives to reach out to Rob. Khloe allegedly asked both Lamar and on again, off again boyfriend, French Montana, while Kourtney Kardashian asked her longtime love Scott Disick to speak to Rob.

“Khloe is worried sick about Rob. She has been begging French Montana to reach out to Rob and help him, but Rob hasn’t really taken to it. Kourtney [Kardashian] asked Scott Disick to do the same, but the most he has done is send out a couple of Instagram messages.”

“Khloe is so desperate that she’s been reaching out to Lamar to try and help. She thinks Lamar may be the only person who can get through to Rob. Rob respects Lamar for being such an amazing basketball player and they have a lot of the same problems in common. Lamar might be Rob’s only hope.”

However, In Touch Weekly reports that Lamar Odom may not be the best choice to speak to Rob, as rumors are circulating that Lamar is struggling with substance abuse again and very well may be headed back to rehab.

“He has been doing an old-school drug called sherm, which is taking a joint and dipping it in liquid PCP. It’s really dangerous and can make you violent.”

“Lamar’s friends and family and Khloé are all pushing him to get into rehab. Lamar needs serious, serious help.”

Kim Kardashian and her husband Kanye West have been trying for nearly a year to conceive baby number two, but things are going as planned, and despite all their efforts, Kim is still not pregnant and is allegedly very upset by her fertility struggles.

According to the Guinness World Records, the oldest person in the world was Misao Okawa from Japan. She had held that title since 2013. However, on April 1, Okawa died at the age of 117. She was born on March 5, 1898. NPR reported that she celebrated her birthday with her family last month. She enjoyed herself being with them and eating a lot of birthday cake.

Okawa had lived in Kurenai Nursing Home in Osaka, Japan since 1997. She reportedly contributed her longevity to eating three big meals every day, sleeping eight hours every night, taking naps during the day, and relaxing as much as possible. Two of her favorite foods were sushi and ramen. She had sushi at least once a month, particularly mackerel on vinegar-steamed rice. However, in the last 10 days, she had stopped eating.

The staff at the nursing home related that Okawa had slowed down in recent months and was having trouble hearing. Other than that, she was in pretty good health.

Okawa was a centenarian from the time she was 100 to 110 years old. Then she became a super-centenarian until she died. A super-centenarian is a person who lives to or beyond the age of 110 years old. Only about one in 1,000 centenarians becomes a super-centenarian.

CNN reports that Okawa leaves behind three children, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Longevity must run in the family because Okawa’s oldest child is a 94-year-old son, and her oldest daughter is 92 years old.

Some interesting things happened during Okawa’s lifetime. The first automobile was sold in the year she was born, and the speed was a record of 39 miles per hour. Queen Victoria was still on the British throne. Okawa lived through the 20 United States Presidents, and William McKinley was the president when she was born. The United States Post Office authorized the use of post cards the year Okawa was born. She was five years old when the Wright brothers tried out their airplane. She was a teenager during World War I, and when the Titanic sank. Okawa was in her 70s when the first man landed on the moon.

Okawa assumed the title of the oldest person in the world after the death of 116-year-old Jireomon Kimura from Japan in June 2013. Both of these super-centenarians were from a place where there were 282 other super-centenarians and 54,397 centenarians.

The title of the world oldest person now belongs to a citizen of the United States. Gertrude Weaver of Arkansas is a super-centenarian. The Los Angeles-based Gerontology Research Group has recorded her age as 116 years old. The Guinness World Records lists the oldest person who ever lived was Jeanne Louise Calment from France, who died at age 122 on August 4, 1997.
