It seems lately that Zayn Malik has been the victim of some sick April Fools’ Day jokes. After all, within 48 hours of April Fools’ Day, his solo demo song turned out to be a way to anger One Direction fans — on top of losing over 50K fans because of a fight between Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik’s new producer, Naughty Boy.

Zayn Malik fans have been deeply concerned about his recent blowout with other One Direction fans in addition to Zayn Malik rumors that have been swirling that he and Perrie Edwards are due to be wed any day now.

While it seems like the spotlight has been rather negative toward Zayn Malik lately, there was one trial that he was put on for April Fools’ Day that was obviously a light-hearted joke. The Goal Magazine published an article on April 1 stating that the soccer team in England, Arsenal, was going to take on Zayn Malik.

The Goal states, “Arsenal executives are already in talks with League One side Doncaster Rovers over the arrangement of a summer friendly, to be branded the ‘Best Match Ever’, in which Malik faces off against his former band-mate, Louis Tomlinson, who maintains a close relationship with his beloved hometown club.”

Adding to their satire about Zayn Malik for their April Fools’ Day joke, the Goal goes on to insinuate that Arsenal’s Director of Alternative Strategy, Alf Lopior, stated, “What Zayn brings to the table, even more than his boyish good looks and upbeat modern pop sound, is a frankly overwhelming number of diehard supporters who might not normally intersect with our traditional fan base.”

Interestingly, these are not the only April Fools’ Day jokes that Zayn Malik was a part of in 2015. PopCrush says the following about a radio station in Phoenix.

“In a sad attempt to capitalize on a buzzworthy story and its coincidental timing with April Fools’ Day, syndicated morning radio personalities Johnjay and Rich attempted to grab audience and headlines with an ‘exclusive interview’ with One Direction defector Zayn Malik on Wednesday (April 1).”

People Magazine says that Teach For America decided to make Zayn Malik the butt of their April Fools’ Day joke on Facebook. They state, “We’re excited to welcome Zayn Malik, who has accepted our offer to join the 2015 corps after announcing his departure from the boy band One Direction last week. We believe that Zayn’s experiences being both revered and ridiculed by teens and preteens and surviving Simon Cowell’s management—not to mention the overall Story of His Life—will equip him well for success in the classroom.”

Teach for America then stated about Zayn Malik, “Read more about our celebrity corps member” and linked to a Wikipedia page about April Fools’ Day.

Local newspapers also used Zayn Malik for their April Fools’ Day articles. For example, the Orangeville Banner in Toronto, Canada, says, “An Orangeville woman has hit the jackpot after finding One Direction star Zayn Malik’s wallet on Mill Street. April Phule, 45, was walking down Main Street on Monday (March 30), when she stumbled upon the wallet containing about $6,000 British Pounds, as well as about $5,000 in Canadian currency.”

They go on to allege in their satire article that the person contacted Zayn Malik through his Twitter account and arranged to have him pick the wallet up. Zayn Malik told her to keep the money for finding his wallet.

Of course, Zayn Malik’s April Fools’ Day joke involvement for 2015 is much better than last year. Now Magazine U.K. says in 2014 the April Fools’ Day joke for Zayn Malik was that he was dead.

Raymond Frolander became infamous as the rape suspect beaten to a pulp by the 11-year-old victim’s father after a photo of the 18-year-old man’s face was released by police showing just how badly he was beat. The child rapist initially claimed he was “not guilty” of raping the younger boy, but now he has pleaded no contest to the charges and he has been sentenced by the judge.

In a related report by the Inquisitr, a rape suspect was beaten by the girl’s boyfriend, but then the alleged rapist blamed the victim for his criminal charges. The situation became even more confusing when police arrested the boyfriend for assault charges related to the girlfriend.

The young victim says he was playing video games with some friends. When these friends left, the boy was left alone with Raymond Frolander. The police say the older teenager proceeded to disrobe the victim and began sexually battering the victim. While this attack was taking place, the father walked into the room and proceeded to beat up the child rapist.

After Frolander was beaten to a pulp, this is what the 35-year-old father of the rape victim told the 911 dispatcher.

“I just walked in on a grown man molesting… and I got him in a bloody puddle for you officer. He is nice and knocked out on the floor for you. I drug him out to the living room. Send an ambulance. He is going to need one. I did whatever I got a right to do except I didn’t kill him.”

When police officers arrived at the house they found Frolander bloodied and bruised but still alive. The father also explained why he did not kill Frolander when the younger man tried to escape the apartment.

“He stood up and his pants were around his ankles and nothing else needed to be said. I did whatever I got a right to do except I didn’t kill him…. You are d**n lucky boy that I love my God.”

When Raymond Frolander was arrested on July 18, 2014, he was initially recorded during an interview saying, “I’m guilty.” In August of the same year he changed his mind and tried to plead not guilty to sexual battery on a child.

During the trial, the rape victim disclosed that Frolander had been sexually abusing him since the age of eight years old. According to News 13, this week Frolander “pleaded no contest on the charges of lewd and lascivious molestation on a victim younger than 12,” which could have given a sentence of life in prison.

The judge in the case sentenced Frolander to 25 years in prison. He will be required to register as a sex offender and he will also be on probation via electronic monitoring for the rest of his life. The Daytona News-Journal describes Frolander as showing no emotion when he found out his future for the next quarter century.

When the victim’s father left the courtroom, this is what he told reporters.

“He’s going to learn in the next 25 years why I let him live,” the father said. “Now I can’t afford to replace y’all’s cameras so move.”

The victim’s grandmother also reports that her grandson is doing well after undergoing therapy. The boy is currently in sixth grade and is being home schooled.

“It’s over,” the victim’s grandmother said. “I just wanted justice for our grandson. That’s all I cared about. He’s doing great.”

When the grandmother was asked about Raymond Frolander, this is what she had to say.

“I’m hurt because he was family. He was like our family and it hurts that he did this,” she said. “I’m a very Christian woman and God tells me I have to forgive and I do. And I’ve learned to go on, and now I just have to re-instill trust in my grandson.”

Jill Duggar’s brother recently congratulated his younger sister on giving birth to twins, and more than a few 19 Kids and Counting fans had to be initially excited when they read Josh Duggar’s tweet about Jill’s doubled joy. But wait a minute — didn’t Jill already reveal that she’s only pregnant with one child?

According to Us Weekly, Josh Duggar tweeted that Jill and Derick Dillard welcomed surprise twins on Wednesday. However, as you can see, his tweet was just an April Fools’ Day joke — Jill Duggar didn’t give birth to a future hide-and-seek champion, and Baby Dilly is still the only cucumber that’s pickling in Jill’s amniotic brine.

Josh reveals that his tweet is just a joke in one of his hashtags, but it looks like at least one fan fell for it. Evidently, someone also started a rumor that the fictional Dillard twins were named after the protagonists of the raunchy Fifty Shades of Grey movie.

Jill Duggar’s due date was March 24, so 19 Kids and Counting fans know there’s a chance that Baby Dilly could arrive any day. However, he chose not to prank his parents by arriving on April 1. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Jill thinks that he might decide to make his big debut on Easter Sunday. His arrival would interfere with the family’s usual celebrations, but it’s hard to imagine the Duggars complaining about an Easter baby — they’d probably rejoice even harder if Dilly popped out on such an important religious holiday. However, poor Josie Duggar might rue the day after losing her status as the family’s favorite miracle baby.

If Jill Duggar’s family does end up spending Easter welcoming Baby Dilly to the world, the Duggar kids don’t have to worry about missing out on Easter egg hunts and chocolate bunnies. In a TLC blog post, Michelle Duggar revealed that her family has created their own Easter traditions.

“Instead of doing the typical egg hunt and candy, we’ve made our own way of celebrating Easter. We call it Resurrection Sunday because we really want the children to know why we’re celebrating Easter.”

A typical Duggar Easter includes baking cross-shaped cookies and writing down gospel messages. Even though cookies are okay, Michelle seems totally against allowing her kids to enjoy any seasonal Easter candies.

“We don’t do candy or Easter baskets for the kids, instead we make individual bags filled with their favorite treats. Not candy, but other goodies that the kids don’t get much any other time of the year. Snacks like beef jerky, canned potato chips and pickles, of course! The Duggars all love pickles. Most of the time in our house, we’ll buy the large containers of cheaper pickles. But at Easter, we splurge on little jars of the more expensive, refrigerated pickles.”

Maybe Baby Dilly will arrive just in time to get his own special Resurrection Sunday goodie bag.

Jill Duggar obviously doesn’t want her fans to worry about Baby Dilly being late. She shared her own April 1 pregnancy update on Instagram, and it looks like she’s trying to stay busy while she patiently waits to meet her first child.

“Getting some things done while anticipating the arrival of our little man any day! #babydilly,” Jill captioned the photo below.

A fire broke out and destroyed a family’s rowhome in Northeast Philadelphia just after 12:30 a.m. Thursday. The fire department arrived on scene quickly to contain the blaze, and although no one was injured, the damage from the fire displaced the family and pets.

Firefighters arrived at the house, located in the Wissinoming section of Northeast Philadelphia, to find the basement on fire early Thursday morning, according to WPVI/ABC News.

However, there was no response from inside the home, and firefighters started asking neighbors if anyone lived there to determine whether anyone was inside in need of rescuing.

What they did not know at the time was the no one was at home. As a result, they assumed the worst and busted the door open and broke windows to get inside and attend to the fire.

A little over a half-hour after arriving at the burning home, the firefighters were able to contain the fire.

Despite the quick response time, the fire still caused an immense amount of damage to the home. The flames destroyed the basement where the fire started and smoke and soot damaged the rest of the home — most notably in the kitchen and back dining area.

Although flames did not damage any of the adjoining row homes, smoke and soot seeped through to a few on either side.

Fire spreading quickly down a row of rowhomes through the attic is a common problem for this type of housing. That the firefighters were able to contain the flames so quickly prevented the fire from spreading to the attached homes in the row.

Aftermath Of The Basement Where The Fire Began

Though the family asked for anonymity for privacy, the son of the homeowner said the family had no idea anything was wrong. He added that one of his neighbors knew where the family would be and alerted him to the problem via Facebook.

“Someone messaged me on Facebook to say ‘Your house is on fire!’ and I came right here… To this.”

Although the home was empty and the occupants were elsewhere at the time the fire started, two dogs and a cat were present. All three pets were rescued from the property and taken to stay with a neighbor until the Red Paw Emergency Relief Team were able to offer assistance.

Red Paw is a non-profit that works, “in conjunction with the Red Cross to assure (sic) that all family members are cared for,” according to its FAQ page. The organization cares for displaced pets for 30 days minimum, unless the owners can take them back sooner.

Although the fire was put out much earlier, the trucks and crews didn’t unhook their hoses from the fire hydrants until almost 3 a.m., at which time the house was boarded up for safety.

A family member said at the scene that an official suggested the fire might have been electrical, but the cause is still under investigation.

There are just two Major League Baseball spring training days left, which means Opening Day is just around the corner.

The St. Louis Cardinal and the Chicago Cubs will kick-off the start of the 2015 MLB season on April 5. The two rivals will play a three-game series at the recently renovated — and safe — Wrigley Field. Cubs Chairman Tom Rickets told Sports Illustrated that the $375 million renovation to the stadium will take an extra year to finish.

St. Louis (90-72 in 2014) has made the postseason in each of the past three seasons and are favorites to claim the Central Division for a third consecutive year by many prognosticators including Grantland.com. The Cubs (73-89), who are projected to finish third in the Central by Brian Svrluga of the Washington Post, have not reached the postseason since 2008.

While the Cardinals-Cubs game is the only Sunday contest, there are 14 games on April 6.

The following will look at the pitching matchups of all Opening Day games.

1. St. Louis at Chicago 8 p.m. (ET) on ESPN2 and Watch ESPN
RHP Adam Wainwright (20-9 in 2014) is expected to face LHP Jon Lester on the mound. Wainwright ranked in the top-five in the National League in several categories, including wins, innings pitched, ERA, WHIP and complete games.

Wainwright went 3-1 against the Cubs last year.

Lester, who missed a spring start earlier this month due to a fatigued arm, told Jesse Rogers of ESPNChicago that he is ready to go on Opening Day.

Lester signed a six-year, $155 million dollar contract with the Cubs this offseason after spending the last part of the two season with Oakland. Lester went 14-11 last year with a 2.46 ERA in 219.2 innings. He is expected to be on a 100-pitch count against the Cardinals.

This is Lester’s first season in the NL.

1. Toronto at New York Yankees, 1 p.m. (ET), ESPN/WatchESPN

The New York Yankees open the season at home against AL East rival Toronto Blue Jays. The Yankees (84-78) enter the season with a bunch of questions while the Blue Jays (83-79) have a talented lineup but there are questions about their bullpen. New York is projected to finish fourth by Svrluga and fifth in the AL East by Grantland.com. Toronto is projected to finish second in the division by Grantland and third by the Washington Post.

Toronto will send 24-year old RHP Drew Hutchison (11-13) against 26-year old Masahiro Tanaka (13-5). Hutchison ranked eighth in the AL in strikeouts but registered a 4.48 ERA last year. Tanaka made just 20 starts last year but appears healthy according to Svrluga. Tanaka finished second in the AL with three complete games.

This will be both pitchers first Opening Day assignment.

2. Minnesota at Detroit, 1:08 p.m.

Paul Molitor begins his first season as manager of the Minnesota Twins (70-92) while the Detroit Tigers (90-72) have designs on capturing their fifth straight AL Central Division crown. The Tigers lost two of their starting pitchers in free agency and there are questions surrounding RHP Justin Verlander as well as their bullpen. The Twins are in full-blown rebuilding mold.

RHP Phil Hughes (16-10) will make the Opening Day start against LHP David Price. Hughes is coming off his best season of career and ranked in the top-10 in several pitching categories. The 29-year-old Price (15-12) is the first Tigers Opening Day starter not named Verlander since 2007. Price led the AL in innings pitched and strikeouts.

3. Colorado at Milwaukee, 2:10 p.m.
Colorado (66-96) will open the season at Milwaukee (82-80). The Rockies, who are expected to score a lot runs this year, are not expected to be much better than last year. The Brewers didn’t make any major offseason moves, therefore they may fall back a little in the NL Central.

RHP Kyle Kendrick (10-13) will make his first Opening Day start in his first season with the Rockies while Milwaukee goes with 36-year-old Kyle Lohse (13-9).

4. Boston at Philadelphia, 3:05 p.m.

The first interleague game in 2015 will feature the Boston Red Sox against the Philadelphia Phillies. The Red Sox (71-91) are expected to bounce back this year and challenge for supremacy in the AL East while the Phillies (73-89) could be in for another long year.

Thirty-year-old RHP Clay Buchholz (8-11) makes the Opening Day start for Boston while Philadelphia will go with LHP Cole Hamels ( 9-9).

5. Baltimore at Tampa Bay, 3:10 p.m.

The Baltimore Orioles (96-66), coming off their first AL East division crown since 1997, will open the season at Tampa Bay (77-85). The Orioles are expected to contend for the division title once again while the Rays are projected to finish near the basement.

Baltimore sends 26-year-old RHP Chris Tillman (13-6) while Tampa Bay counters with 26-year-old Chris Archer (10-9).

6. New York Mets at Washington, 4 p.m., ESPN/WatchESPN
The New York Mets (79-83) are expected to finish in the middle of the pack in the NL East while the Washington Nationals (96-66) are expected to run away with the division title once again. The Nationals, who will send newly acquired Max Scherzer to the mound, have won the East division crown two of the past three years.

Scherzer (18-5) is in his first season in the National League. He was the 2013 AL Cy Young Award winner with Detroit. The Mets will send veteran Bartolo Colon (15-13).

7. Chicago White Sox at Kansas City, 4:10 p.m.

Chicago (73-89) will send RHP Jeff Samardzija (7-13) against 23-year-old RHP Yordano Ventura (14-10). Ventura tossed seven innings of shutout baseball in Game six of the World Series against San Francisco for the Royals (89-73) last year.

Kansas City lost the 2014 World Series 4-3. It was the Royals first postseason appearance since becoming World Champions in 1985.

8. Los Angeles Angels at Seattle, 4:10 p.m.

The Los Angeles Angels (98-64) are coming off their first AL West crown since 2009 but could this year be the year the Seattle Mariners (87-75) once again reign supreme in the West?
The Mariners are projected to win their first division title since 2001 while the Angels are predicted to be finish as division runners-up.

Los Angeles will send 32-year-old Jered Weaver (18-9) to the mound to square off against 28-year-old lefty Felix Hernandez (15-6). Hernandez is coming off a fine season where he led the AL in ERA and WHIP. Weaver led the AL in wins and was No. 9 in innings pitched.

9. Pittsburgh at Cincinnati, 4:10 p.m.

The Pittsburgh Pirates (88-74) have made the playoffs the last two years and are projected to be in the hunt for the wild card once again. Cincinnati (76-86) is expected to finish in the bottom half of the Central division. The Reds biggest problem is their starting pitching.

The Pirates will send LHP Francisco Liriano (7-10) to the mound to face RHP Johnny Cueto (20-9). Cueto ranked in the top-four of the NL in several categories in several categories, including No. 1 in innings pitched and strikeouts.

10. San Diego at Los Angeles Dodgers, 4:10 p.m.

This opening day matchup could feature the top two teams in the NL West. The Dodgers (94-68) have won the West the last two seasons and is predicted by Grantland.com to win the division again. The Padres (77-85) have finished in the top two of the division only once since winning the division title in 2006.

Thirty-three-year-old right-hander James Shields (14-8) takes the ball for the Padres while the Dodgers hand the ball to lefty Clayton Kershaw (21-3). Kersaw led the NL in wins, ERA, WHIP, winning percentage and complete games.

11. Atlanta at Miami, 4:10 p.m.

There was quite a battle for second in the NL East last year as Atlanta (79-83), New York, and Miami (77-85) were within two games of each other. The Marlins, who will go with 24-year-old Henderson Alveraz on Opening Day, are projected to finish second this year while the Braves will give the ball to 24-year-old Julio Teheran.

Alveraz (12-7) ranked No. 6 in the ERA and complete games las year while Teheran (14-13) ranked No. 3 in the NL in innings pitched and complete games as well as No. 6 in WHIP.

12. Cleveland at Houston, 7 p.m. ESPN/WatchESPN

The Cleveland Indians (85-77) battled the Detroit Tigers hard for the AL Central Division title last year before falling off the pace late in the season. The Indians are expected to contend for the division crown again this year and will start their journey on the road against the Houston Astros (70-92).

The Indians will send 28-year-old right-hander Corey Kluber (18-9), who had a career year in 2014, to the mound to battle 27-year-old lefty Dallas Keuchel (12-9). Kluber led the AL in wins and ranked No. 2 in strikeouts and complete games. Kluber also finished No. 3 in ERA and innings pitched. Keuchel led the AL with five complete games and ranked No. 7 in ERA.

13. San Francisco at Arizona, 10 p.m. ESPN2/WatchESPN
The San Francisco Giants (88-74) will start their World Series defense at Arizona (64-98). The Giants are expected to take a step or two back while the Padres could challenge the Dodgers for the top spot in the West.

Twenty-five-year-old Madison Bumgarner (18-10) was fabulous in the postseason and is rewarded with his first Opening Day start against right-hander Josh Collmenter (11-9). Bumgarner ranked in the top-10 in several categories last year.

14. Texas at Oakland, 10:05 p.m.

The Texas Rangers (67-95) will battle the Oakland Athletics (88-74) in the final game of Opening Day. The Rangers will give the ball to Yovani Gallardo (8-11), while Sonny Gray (14-10) gets the call from the Athletics.

2015 MLB Opening Day: Schedule, Starting Pitchers, And Live Stream is an article from: The Inquisitr News

As Lana makes her return to WWE television fresh off the filming of her first WWE Studios production, Interrogation, another WWE Diva is set to make her WWE Studios film debut later this year. According to a release issued on WWE.com, Paige will be starring alongside The Miz this holiday season in Santa’s Little Helper.

WWE.com released a preview of the story line of the film.

“After getting fired from his job, a slick, fast-talking businessman (Dax) is given an opportunity of a lifetime to become Santa Claus’ second-in-command. However, getting the job won’t be that easy: Dax must go head-to-head against an elf that feels she’s more deserving of the title. As the competition heats up, Dax learns the true meaning of Christmas… but ultimately who will become ‘Santa’s Little Helper’?”

Unlike Lana, this will be the very first feature film role for Paige (real name Saraya-Jade Bevis). Paige, who is still early in her career at 22-years-old, has been wrestling since she was 13. Growing up around the business (both of her parents were wrestlers and both of her older brothers have wrestled), the transition to wrestling came quite easily to Paige at that young age. Paige ended up signing with WWE at 19-years-old in 2011.

With wrestling being just about everything she knows, it will be interesting to see how Paige adapts to a role on the big screen. There certainly are a lot of similarities between acting in a film and performing in front of a camera for professional wrestling. Paige also starred in season 3 of Total Divas, which is called a “reality show” but certainly has a lot of scripted segments for television purposes.

There’s no word yet on when filming will begin, though one would assume Paige will have to take off at least a couple of weeks from wrestling to participate in filming, similar to what Lana did in recent weeks while filming Interrogation.

Santa’s Little Helper is scheduled to be released straight to DVD, Blu-ray, and digital download during the 2015 holiday season, so the turnaround time from filming to release will likely be very quick. The film is being produced by WWE Studios in conjunction with 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.

Unlike Paige, The Miz is fairly experienced in the film industry. He has previously starred in three WWE Studios productions (The Marine 3, The Marine 4, Christmas Bounty) and originally achieved stardom on MTV’s The Real World.

A 30-year-old lawyer from Washington, D.C., David Messerschmitt, was stabbed to death in a upscale hotel room after using Craigslist to solicit men for gay sex. However, instead of a man, a female military school graduate responded to the ad using a masculine sounding email address while pretending to be a man. The woman, 21-year-old Jamyra Gallmon, says her intention was to rob the man, but when a struggle ensued, she stabbed him repeatedly with a knife.

The Inquisitr previously reported that David Messerschmitt was found dead in his upscale Donovan Hotel room. Messerschmitt was found after his wife, Kim Vuong, reported her husband missing. Police say Messerschmitt was savagely stabbed to death in what appears to be a “sexual encounter” and robbery turned murder. Vuong pleaded with the public to help identify the woman from the surveillance video taken from inside the hotel during the time of the February murder. It seems the pleading has finally paid off, as Jamyra Gallmon, the alleged woman from the footage, is now under arrest for the murder of Messerschmitt.

The Daily Mail notes that additional information was provided today in the police affidavit. In the affidavit, Gallmon claims that she responded to a Craigslist ad soliciting men for gay sex. She says she responded to the ad while pretended to be a male. After Messerschmitt agreed to meet her at the Donovan Hotel, Gallmon planned to rob the unsuspecting man.

In the surveillance footage you can see that Gallmon is wearing androgynous appearing clothing as she enters the hotel. She can be seen wearing a black hoodie, black baggy pants and black boots. She says that when she approached the hotel room where Messerschmitt was staying, the door was already unlocked. She says she entered the room with the intention of robbing the lawyer and leaving.

However, she says that during the robbery a struggle ensued and she pulled a knife from her pants and stabbed Messerschmitt multiple times and continued to stab him as he fell to the floor. The police report indicates that the lawyer had numerous stab wounds to his groin, back and abdomen and that the knife also pierced his heart and hit his spinal cord.

Gallmon appeared in court this afternoon before the Superior Court in Washington, D.C. on a felony murder charge. Meanwhile, Messerschmitt’s widow, Kim Vuong, thanked the police for their hard work in tracking down her husband’s killer noting that “the world has lost a good person.”

According to Sporting News, McIlroy was not the only golfer to pose shirtless for a magazine this month. Lexi Thompson is featured on the cover of Golf Digest Magazine without a shirt. Her cover photo has earned some criticism.

McIlroy was featured on the cover of a special Masters issue of Golf Digest recently, and the cover also received some attention. McIlroy was featured as Michelangelo on the cover. For the cover, he wore just a kilt.

McIlroy did not always have the body he has now. He has worked out a lot over the past few years, and that work has paid off in the past year. Once he started to do well, he wanted to stay on top. For him, that meant getting in the best shape possible.

According to Business Insider, Charles Siebert from the New York Times shared Rory’s workout regimen.

“Since 2010, McIlroy has been working out five times a week, 90 minutes a day, under the close supervision of his British trainer, Dr. Stephen McGregor, a fitness consultant for the Manchester City soccer club and formerly for the New York Knicks.”

Apparently, this workout regimen has not only improved his physique, but it has also improved his golf game. His trainer, Dr. Stephen McGregor, revealed the impact his working out has had on his golf swing.

“Over time the arm speed has quieted down but his clubhead speed has increased and his body efficiency has improved. He can practice more, hit balls more and he has been more consistent. His misses were wide. We needed to tighten that up. As he was going into impact he was going to spray it. As he has gotten more stable so has his swing, and he has been able to add more power and more distance.”

In his interview with Men’s Health Magazine, McIlroy shared an anecdote about a gym experience he had last year. He was working out one day when three NFL players walked into the same gym. Those football players were Tom Brady and brothers Peyton and Eli Manning. He joked that it was time for him to leave once they walked in. However, he then praised the three NFL stars.

“They’re so dedicated and committed to what they do. To see them putting so much into it even after 15 successful years of a career, it was great for me to see. It was inspirational in some ways.”

Next week, McIlroy will go for his green jacket at the Masters. A win at the golf tournament would earn him the career grand slam. The golfer realizes that would put him in an elite group of golfers. If he pulls off a win on April 12, McIlroy will be the sixth golfer to win all four major golf tournaments.

McIlroy spoke about the Masters tournament in a recent interview, according to the Irish Times.

“For me now it’s a career-long goal to win there to achieve something that only a handful of players have ever achieved. There’s something special I can achieve going into Augusta this year. You are a complete player if you can win every major because they are on different golf courses, different tests, different conditions. Not many guys have done it in history so to put my name there would be awesome. It would just be incredible. You feel the sense of what can be achieved but I can’t think about that too much. I just have to think about trying to go out there and playing as best as I can and if I can do that hopefully my scores add up to a shot lower than anyone else’s.”

At the age of 25, Rory McIlroy still has a long career on the golf course ahead of him, but he is ready for his grand slam now. According to a previous Inquisitr report, Rory hit his first professional hole in one in January.

Nancy Sinatra is taking on rumors that Ronan Farrow is actually her half brother, saying the reports that Frank Sinatra fathered the child with ex-wife Mia Farrow are ridiculous.

There have long been rumors that Frank Sinatra actually fathered Ronan during a fling with Mia more than 20 years after they divorced in 1968. Many have noted that Ronan bears a resemblance to Frank Sinatra, which has fueled the speculation even more.

But Nancy Sinatra is trying to put a stop to the rumors, saying Ronan is not her half brother.

“Mia’s son? Oh, nonsense,” Nancy, 74, told CBS Sunday Morning.

“He would just laugh it off,” she added of her late father. “We didn’t laugh it off because it was affecting my kids, you know? They were being questioned about it and we all knew it was nonsense.”

Of course, Mia Farrow herself takes much of the blame for fueling the rumors. In an interview with Vanity Fair in 2013, she admitted that Frank Sinatra could have been Ronan’s father.

The report noted:

I asked Nancy Sinatra Jr. about Ronan’s being treated as if he were a member of their family, and she answered in an e-mail, “He is a big part of us, and we are blessed to have him in our lives.” She said of Mia, “From the early days until now, we have been like sisters. My mother is also very fond of her. We are family and will always be.”

I asked Mia point-blank if Ronan was the son of Frank Sinatra. “Possibly,” she answered. (No DNA tests have been done.)

The report went on to note that Ronan attended Frank Sinatra’s funeral in 1998 and has a close relationship with both Nancy Sinatra Jr. and Nancy Sinatra Sr.

Ronan seemed to find a bit of humor in the situation, talking about the rumors in a tweet that referenced Frank’s notorious luck with the ladies.

Though a large part of the rumors were fueled by Mia Farrow herself, Nancy Sinatra didn’t seem too angry with her over the Ronan rumors. She told CBS, “Mia was one of our… like, a sister. We had a good time, [sister] Tina [Sinatra] and Mia and I did.”

A 10-year-old boy from New Jersey killed himself after he lost a game of chess. The boy became angry after the winner didn’t say checkmate, so he jumped out of the second-story school window to his death.

The Daily Mail reports that an unnamed child was killed at Grant Elementary School after jumping headfirst from a second-story window. Police have concluded that the boy became angry after losing a chess match in which the winner did not say checkmate. Prior to jumping out of the window, the boy wrote a letter to his opponent and told him to read it later. He then proceeded to climb to the window and jumped out.

The teacher’s aide in the room says that she confiscated the note and as she turned around she saw the boy climbing through the partially open window. Before she could make it to the child he had went headfirst out the window and plummeted to the ground. The boy would later die in the hospital from the injuries sustained during the fall.

“He went headfirst, unforced, unassisted and of his own accord.”

According to North Jersey, the teacher’s aide says the boy was very upset after losing a chess game during morning recess. She says he was complaining that the winner did not say “checkmate.” She says just before lunch she saw the boy writing a note and crying in the corner. The boy then took the note to the classmate who had beaten him at chess and told the boy to read it at lunch. At this point the teacher confiscated the note and the tragedy unfolded. She says the boy questioned, “do you want me to do something drastic?” before jumping from the window.

Upon investigation, it was discovered that the boy had told his chess opponent on at least four other occasions that he was going to jump from the window. However, his young classmate did not believe him so never told teachers. The classmate recalled how just last December the boy had told him, ‘I’m this close to jumping out the window!’ while holding his thumb and index finger about an inch apart. The classmate says the statement came after he lost a chess match.

A cafeteria worker says the boy often complained that other students wouldn’t play chess with him. Therefore, teachers asked the other children to include the boy in the games. Little did they know, a chess match would cost the boy his life.

Miley Cyrus and Patrick Schwarzenegger have been spotted back together, although the singer has enlisted a “sex ban” after her boyfriend’s Spring Break shenanigans. The Hollywood Life reported that Miley put sex on hold in order to punish Patrick. Miley may have forgiven Patrick for taking body shots off a bikini-clad girl and for flirting with his ex-girlfriend, but that doesn’t mean she has forgotten about the alleged cheating photos that surfaced onto the internet.

Cyrus, 22, has punished Schwarzenegger, 21, by putting a hold on sex. It has reportedly been torture for her boyfriend, a source told the celebrity gossip site.

“One thing she did to punish him was withhold sex from him. Their love life is absolutely wild and he loves it. But he had to take a lot of cold showers for the first couple weeks after his trip because of her sex ban.”

Miley took advantage of the sex ban as well. She reportedly flaunted her body in front of Patrick in “scantily clad outfits” to help “shut him down in frustration.” Miley didn’t let the sex ban go for long though. The sexual tension eventually got to the couple.

“When they finally did make love again it was like the first time he was so excited.”

Cyrus and Schwarzenegger were also seen on a lunch date at Hugo’s in Los Angeles. Several onlookers noticed that the young couple were kissing a lot inside the restaurant.

“Miley and Patrick were in full boyfriend/girlfriend mode. They kissed on many occasions during their lunch and they looked as much as a couple as they ever have been.”

The young couple is no stranger to the restaurant – or putting a lot of PDA on display. Apparently, Cyrus and Schwarzenegger have been there before, showing a lot of affection.

“They go to Hugo’s all the time and they have no apprehension on displaying PDA. This date was all the same — they were kissing and in full lovey-dovey mode.”

Schwarzenegger is reportedly “devastated and heartbroken” that he caused his girlfriend so much pain. He quickly took to Twitter to defend himself after the alleged cheating photos came out.

Patrick tweeted: “Omg. It’s one of my best friend’s girlfriend…Would NEVER do anything against my GF.”

He followed up to his tweets and reminded his followers, “Girls have guy friends and guys have friends that are girls…”

A source told E! Online that Schwarzenegger doesn’t know how to win Cyrus’ heart back, but he’s doing everything he can. He’s also reportedly embarrassed about showing his face in public ever since the photos hit the internet.

“He doesn’t even know what to do with himself and just wants to hide from the world. He’s had some of his friends around for support, but he’s very down and upset. He hasn’t cracked a smile or been able to think about anything except Miley. He’s so embarrassed and knows he screwed up.”

Meanwhile, Miley has been spending a lot of time posting strange photos on Instagram. She also called out Senator Tom Cotton after his remarks about hanging gay Americans. Miley also leaked his phone number so that her followers could prank call him. It probably wasn’t the most mature move to make, but she was understandably upset about his homophobic remarks.

A couple from Texas has allegedly tried to resurrect their dead 2-year-old son. Police in Balch Springs, Texas say they went to the home for a welfare check and discovered the pair had fled to Mexico with their dead son’s body after a failed resurrection attempt with their home church.

CBS reports that police went to the Balch Springs home on March 26 to perform a welfare check after receiving a call. What they discovered was the “strangest case” they have ever investigated according to one police lieutenant. When officers arrived at the home they were told that a 2-year-old child had died and that the family took the body to Mexico after a failed “rising ceremony.” The rising ceremony was an attempt to resurrect the dead toddler by the family’s home church.

“Officers were told a 2-year old child had died and a ‘rising ceremony’ had been performed for the child at the home four days earlier in an attempt to resurrect him.”

Though it was understood that the home-based church attempted to resurrect the dead child, it is unknown whether they were attempting to resurrect his actual body or simply his spirit. They are also unsure at this time exactly what methods were used during the rising ceremony to attempt to resurrect the toddler.

“We don’t know if this was to try and resurrect the spirit of the child and we don’t know if this was to try and resurrect the child themselves or what exactly that service or ceremony encompasses.”

The individuals who were still living in the home when police arrived stated that the residence also served as a church where the rising ceremony took place. The Daily Mail spoke with a number of local residents about the family who say that other children have been removed from the home since the rising ceremony. One neighbor says that five children under the age of 10 were living in the home, but that they have been taken into protective custody following the investigation by police.

One neighbor says she complained to the mother about some of the childrens’ behavior towards her dogs. However, she was told that the children didn’t know any better because they were taken “off the streets in Mexico.” Another neighbor claims that the home-church was held on Saturdays and Sundays and that attendees were required to pay at the door to enter.

Police have not confirmed what caused the death of the 2-year-old child. However, some locals have claimed the child starved while others say he fell from a high chair. Police are still investigating the family and church after the failed resurrection and moving of the child’s dead body across country borders.

Texas Couple Tries To Resurrect Their Dead 2-Year-Old Son At Home Church, Fled To Mexico With Body is an article from: The Inquisitr News

In the past, many independent artists of all kinds – filmmakers, musicians, writers, comic artists, painters, animators – primarily survived on the successful sales of their craft. Unfortunately, sales may not be enough for such artists in which their dreams may have to be put on hold just to survive.

However, that has all changed with Patreon, a crowdfunding site among the art community (active artists and supportive patrons who invest funds for said artists) that is the best thing to happen to the commercial side of artists’ careers since deviantART. And now they are about to get bigger with the acquirement of Subbable.

According to Forbes, the San Francisco-based Patreon announced it has acquired the video subscription service, Subbable, which was founded by Green Brothers, Hank (famous YouTube star) and John (best-selling author of The Fault in Our Stars). Through the consolidation of both platforms, both Patreon and Subbable creators are expected to generate a combined total of $25 million from fans this year alone. That is a major jump since the amount is about double what both companies raised by themselves in 2014.

To further understand just how big Patreon and Subbable to artists and YouTube channels are respectively, the former consists of 10,000 artists, which include famous musical artist Pentatonix, comedian group Kinda Funny, and digital artist Sakimi Chan. The latter produces popular YouTube channels such as SmarterEveryDay and C.G.P. Grey. Subbable was also the fundraising platform for the Green brothers’ famous YouTube channel, SciShow.

Patreon employees provide a huge sign welcoming Subbable artists to their crowdfunding site.

What makes both Patreon and Subbable unique is the fact almost all the content are given away. In that sense, it was questioned why people would voluntarily invest more than $2 million a month for content that would otherwise be free. Jack Conte, co-founder of Patreon, provides an honest answer.

“Because they’re not paying for the content. They’re paying for the people. People always ask, ‘Should music be free?’ But music is already free. The question is: ‘How do we pay people?'”

Such a business model is very rare in the business world, since most business-types constantly think on transaction: people get paid for what they put in. Patreon and Subbable follow a thought process that rewards transformation: people get paid for their potential.

It should be noted that even though Patreon has acquired Subbable, it is more a move to help Subbable creators. Apparently, Subbable’s payment processor Amazon Payments informed 12,464 subscribers they need to reauthorize their contributions by June 1. This is all due to Amazon migrating to a new payment system. The fear was that subscribers would not re-authorize those payments leading to massive attrition.

Eventually, Hank Green reached out to Jack Conte for advice in which Conte suggested that Subbable merge into Patreon. Patreon would be tasked to help Subbable subscribers transition to their payment system as well as become the fundraising platform for the Green Brother’s YouTube channels. On the other hand, the Green Brothers have agreed to become Patreon advisers.

Another cool thing that Patreon is doing for the Subbable creators (who now have Patreon creator accounts) is to match up to $100,000 in new pledges to them. Patreon is also asking their patron community to spread the word, rally other patrons, all to help send real resources to the deserving creators previously from Subbable. On a partnership and business perspective, the matching was made to help offset the blow Subbable creators might receive from attrition.

LaRon Landry’s arms are causing more buzz for the NFL safety. A new selfie featuring the football player was posted on Thursday, and the photo has people buzzing about Landry on social media. The former Indianapolis Colts player is known for his large arms, but they have grown even larger since the end of the NFL season earlier this year.

Sporting News shared the gym selfie featuring LaRon Landry on Friday. The football player was at the gym and working out when he stopped for the selfie. His arms are not hard to miss in the photo. In an interview back in 2012, Landry spoke about his large arms. He talked about the challenges he faces when it comes to clothes. His suits are custom made for him, and he complained that the suit he was wearing for that interview was too tight on him still. However, he defended his large arms during that interview as well.

“The arms come natural with any type of lifting I do. I get a pump with my arms … I could be doing a just chest work out and get a pump with my arms. I have the proper technique and everything. The arms are going to be the arms. I can’t do anything about them.”

However, Landry has been at the center of two scandals over performance enhancing drugs since that interview in 2012. During the 2014 season, Landry was suspended for four games due to a performance enhancing drugs violation.

At the end of the suspension, he did not immediately return to his position as starting safety for the Colts. According to ESPN, he split time with Sergio Brown before returning to the starting position during Week 16 when the Colts faced the Dallas Cowboys.

At the end of the four-game suspension, he did receive support from his teammates. He revealed that everyone welcomed him back with “open arms.” Reggie Wayne, receiver for the Colts, spoke about Landry’s return at that time, according to the Indy Star.

“No matter what the situation is, things happen. We don’t judge. Never did. We just try to work through it. He came back. When I saw him, I (shook his hand), gave him a man hug, and (it was) time to go to work. (I said) ‘Welcome back, we can use you.’ We need everybody in this locker room. Whatever his role is, we’re going to need 110 percent out of him.”

However, the Colts cut Landry from the team after the football season ended. Landry is now a free agent looking for a new team to call home. That search might not be easy for him. Landry was suspended again earlier this month, according to NESN.

This suspension will force the safety to sit out the first 10 games of the 2015 NFL season. This suspension will cause teams to think twice before they pick him up.

This new selfie might also have an impact. NESN teased in their report that his arms appear to have “doubled in size over the past two and a half months.” The claim was made after the publication compared the new selfie with a photo of him taken during the AFC Championship Game.

LaRon Landry’s Arms Generate Big Buzz On Twitter After Latest Selfie is an article from: The Inquisitr News

It’s amazing how one choice by a celebrity can create new businesses.

The Tri-County Times is reporting that country music superstar Jason Aldean was in the market for wedding bands, having proposed to Brittany Kerr, dancer and former American Idol competitor. The story starts with Kevin Begola, owner of the Bridge Street Exchange in Linden, MI. Begola also owns an online men’s wedding band store called Titanium Buzz.

Begola was hosting an event in 2014 when Ron and Amy Shirley, owners of Lizard Lick Towing and Recovery (and stars of the show Lizard Lick Towing). After a conversation, Titanium Buzz created a line of rings for the Shirleys. The trio had a mutual friend, Dee Jay Silver. Begola created his wedding band, as well.

It so happens that Aldean and the Shirleys were at Silver’s wedding. Aldean saw both Silver’s wedding band and the Shirley’s rings and became more and more intrigued by the craftsmanship and quality that he saw. Aldean went home and got online to check out Titanium Buzz, and really liked what he saw.

Aldean ordered a wedding band with a baseball stitch design engraved on the ring for his March 21 nuptials, which were private. Willie Robertson, star of Duck Dynasty and on ordained minister, presided over the ceremony.

Through it all, Begola and his crew were able to keep that private information private.

“We didn’t tell. I didn’t even tell my friends and family about it until we could.”

Michigan Live is reporting that the wedding band was a black zirconium band with a baseball stitch designed carved in and the wedding date engraved on the inside the band. Begola ended up making four wedding bands altogether. Begola speculates the different rings are to be worn at certain events or parties, but did not elaborate.

The new wedding band has been making the rounds. Aldean and Kerr went to the iHeartRadio Music awards on March 29. Aldean won an award for country song of the year for “Burnin’ It Down.” The next day, Aldean joined forces with such music superstars as Jay Z, Beyonce, Chris Martin, Madonna, Rihanna, Usher,among others, to launch Tidal, a new music streaming service. On both occasions, Aldean made sure to flash the wedding band for all to see.

Begola has said that as of right now, however, the wedding band’s exposure hasn’t translated to more orders. He does appear to be optimistic, though.

Jana Duggar recently befriended a fellow reality show star, and Jim Bob might not be the biggest fan of his daughter’s new pal. Most people would consider Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson to be extremely conservative, but she’s a real wild child compared to the Duggars.

According to Reality TV Magazine, the worlds of 19 Kids and Counting and Duck Dynasty recently collided when Joy-Anna, Jinger, and Jana Duggar hung out with Sadie Robertson. There’s no word on whether the girls were shooting a crossover episode for one of their reality shows, but doing so would likely lead to a big ratings boost — Duck Dynasty and 19 Kids are both extremely popular with the conservative Christian crowd.

Sadie visited Jana and the other girls at their home in Arkansas, and she shared the above photo of their meeting on Instagram. The 17-year-old seemed pretty starstruck by the Duggar sisters.

“Truly the most beautiful girls inside & out,” Sadie wrote on Instagram. “Excited about our new friendship. Thank you for being so sweet to welcome me into y’all’s beautiful home. So proud of how this family shares their faith with the world.”

There are many 19 Kids and Counting fans who will be happy to see Jana Duggar befriending someone like Sadie Robertson — the Duck Dynasty star is a little more open-minded about the world, so perhaps she’ll be the one who convinces the Duggar girls that they don’t have to live life with so many restrictions. Fans would love to see Jana abandoning her job as the family maid/nanny to go to college, and it would be a huge step forward for any Duggar daughter to leave home without getting married.

While it’s true that Sadie’s father is also very protective of her, the 17-year-old has a lot more freedom than Jana and her sisters. For one thing, she attends a public school, whereas the Duggars are homeschooled. She was also allowed to compete on Dancing with the Stars, which is something that the Duggar girls would never dare to do. During an interview with Beliefnet, Jim Bob said that girls shouldn’t dance because it “can be defrauding to a guy.”

Because of her homeschooling and her father’s dancing ban, Jana Duggar never got to attend prom. Sadie Robertson did get to take part in the teen rite of passage, and she recently posted some gorgeous photos from the event on Instagram. Jim Bob would probably say that Sadie is showing too much shoulder, and there’s no way he’d let a guy kiss and hug one of his daughters like that — Duggar girls have to wait until they’re married to partake in any serious PDA (in their case, this acronym stands for “physical displays of affection”). He’d also want to know if Sadie and her date were followed by a chaperone all night long. Meanwhile, the single Duggar sons will simply be sad to see that they have no hope of scoring a courtship with Sadie.

Even though Jana Duggar and her sisters might see Sadie as a hopeless sinner, the Duck Dynasty star still admires her uber-conservative fellow Christians very much. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Sadie considers it an honor to be compared to the 19 Kids and Counting girls.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has voiced his concerns over the proposed nuclear deal with Iran. Netanyahu says that the deal will pave the way for Iran’s nuclear bomb and that the proposal threatens Israel’s very survival.

Israel’s Prime Minister has become very vocal about his disapproval of the recently disclosed nuclear deal with Iran. Netanyahu has taken to social media and traditional media outlets to voice his concerns over the proposed plans to lift sanctions that could “threaten the very survival of the State of Israel.” The Prime Minister took to Facebook with a statement outlining the issues that Israel sees with the proposed Iran nuclear deal. The statement indicates that by lifting sanctions on the region, Iran would step up its aggression and terror and follow through with their plans to destroy Israel.

“The cabinet is united in strongly opposing the proposed deal. This deal would pose a grave danger to the region and to the world and would threaten the very survival of the State of Israel. The deal would not shut down a single nuclear facility in Iran, would not destroy a single centrifuge in Iran and will not stop R&D on Iran’s advanced centrifuges. On the contrary. The deal would legitimize Iran’s illegal nuclear program. It would leave Iran with a vast nuclear infrastructure. A vast nuclear infrastructure remains in place. The deal would lift sanctions almost immediately and this at the very time that Iran is stepping up its aggression and terror in the region and beyond the region.

In a few years, the deal would remove the restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program, enabling Iran to have a massive enrichment capacity that it could use to produce many nuclear bombs within a matter of months. The deal would greatly bolster Iran’s economy. It would give Iran thereby tremendous means to propel its aggression and terrorism throughout the Middle East.”

Benjamin Netanyahu has also been sending a series of Tweets about the Iran nuclear deal discussing why the proposed plan will bolster Iran’s ability to obtain nuclear weapons.

NBC reports that President Obama has responded to Netanyahu’s concerns by stating this “progress on the nuclear issue” is not sponsorship of terrorism or threats towards Israel.

“Progress on the nuclear issue in no way diminishes our concerns with respect to Iran’s sponsorship of terrorism and threats towards Israel. The United States remains steadfast in our commitment to the security of Israel.”

Israeli Prime Minister Says Iran Nuclear Deal Threatens Israel’s Survival, Will Pave Way For Nuclear Bomb is an article from: The Inquisitr News

A picture is worth a thousand words, and the Texas Department of Transportation and Safety obviously thinks the words are some kind of disturbing message after one of their troopers posed for a picture with Snoop Dogg while working a second job. Two weeks ago, while at the South by Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas State Trooper Sergeant Billy L. Spears posed for a photo with Snoop Dogg, who was dressed appropriately and was simply leaning on the trooper’s shoulder for the pose. There was no profanity, no obscene gestures, nothing illegal happening, no suggestion of any illegal activity in the picture.

Snoop then posted the photo to his Instagram account, and captioned it “Me n My deputy dogg” followed by the emojis of a gun and two stars. It was a big hit, naturally, with many followers “liking” and commenting on the photo. It seemed like just an innocent celebrity sighting, one that Spears could tell others about, but he was about to get the shock of his life: apparently, his employer considers posing with Snoop Dogg some type of mental instability or suggestion of crime. Shortly after the photo was posted by Snoop, a supervisor from the Texas Department of Public Safety and Transportation drove forty miles to hand-deliver a counseling order to Billy.

Spears’ lawyer, Ty Clevenger, was as outraged as most of the public seems to be about the situation and posted the contents of the order publicly, which stated that posing with Snoop somehow implies the advocacy of criminal behavior.

“While working a secondary employment job, Trooper Spears took a photo with a public figure who has a well-known criminal background including numerous drug charges. It reflects poorly on the agency.”

Clevenger also claimed that Spears was not aware of Snoop Dogg’s criminal past, which seems plausible. Clevenger said “not everyone reads TMZ or People” and that Spears had simply known Snoop Dogg to be a rap artist who was famous.

Clevenger also stated that Spears believes the real reason for the order of counseling is in retaliation because Spears had blown the whistle on another officer last year for some type of misconduct.

The Department of Transportation and Safety would not comment on this situation, saying it was a “personnel issue” and that it was not a formal disciplinary action, just a remand for counseling. However, Clevenger argues the letter will go into Spears’ personnel file, so it is a type of formal action.

Did you ever think that math class was dry? Perhaps boring? You probably wouldn’t if you had Professor Matthew Weathers of Biola University in California. Apparently, he likes to keep things interesting and is known for pranking his class on April Fools’ Day, according to Yahoo.

This year, on April 1, the trigonometry professor played a video demonstration of himself on a projector, explaining a math problem. Then, things became bizarre. Weathers shouted out to his video persona, saying his alter ego was making errors. The video version of the professor curtly responded with the following.

“Why don’t you come over here and say that to my face?”

Then, things intensify. The 3-D professor then appears to “enter” the projection screen, seeming to “fight” with his video counterpart. He then becomes trapped in the YouTube video.

The two versions of himself fight with computer icons, which go soaring, some flying out of the screen into the 3-D world, according to Business Insider. You can see the Youtube video, which has almost four million views here.

The professor owned up to the prank, writing the following on YouTube, according to the Huffington Post.

“I played a trick on my math class for April Fool’s Day. In this one, I’m showing a ‘homework help’ video that gets some trigonometry wrong. How embarrassing!”

Apparently, Weathers has become known for similar interactive videos to help teach what is otherwise often though to be an uninspired subject matter: math. According to the Huffington Post, the professor has been described as noteworthy. The school publication, The Chimes described him in a 2010 article in the following manner.

“[Weathers is a] professor that brightens your day during class by bringing color to an often not-too-interesting subject.”

It’s apparent that, as some commenters of the video stated, the professor loves his job and tries to keep his students interested in the subject matter. He has posted to YouTube other amusing, interactive videos that he uses as learning tools, with varying themes, and with live action playing against a video version of himself. He even has his own YouTube channel, the MD Weathers Channel, which lists over 18 thousand subscribers.

There are teachers who try to motivate students and use techniques that are appropriate to do so. Unfortunately, there are some who use inappropriate methods, such as bullying, to reach a desired goal. Hopefully, they are few and far between. A student in Florida wanted to document one of her teachers bullying another student, so she grabbed her cell phone and captured audio of the teacher saying horrible things to the student, according to an Inquisitr article. Unfortunately, the school chose to suspend the girl for “violating the teacher’s privacy.”

During both of her pregnancies, Canadian meteorologist Kristi Gordon has been heavily criticized because she was apparently not wearing the right maternity clothes.

The Global BC News’ chief meteorologist stated that when she was pregnant with her first child, she received a myriad of letters disparaging her choice in maternity clothes.

“They either thought it was too tight,” Gordon explained. “But it’s hard to not having something tight over a belly that’s sticking out like this. Or they would say, ‘I can’t believe you’re wearing horizontal stripes, you look massive’.”

So when her second pregnancy came around, she thought if she asked the viewers to be kind, they would be.

“It was horrible last time…I couldn’t do anything right when it came to clothing,” she said. “So please be easy on me. It’s not easy to find work clothes when your belly is out to there.”

She was wrong.

The plea instead resulted in even more hate mail.

One viewer wrote, “Nowhere on North America TV have we seen a weather reader so gross as you. Your front end looks like the Hindenburg and your rear end looks like a brick – fill in the blank – house. We now turn off Globel [sic].”

Another letter said “Buy some decent clothes and have more respect for your unborn child. You’re not the first pregnant woman. OMG.”

“Looser tops would look much more professional,” wrote another viewer.

“We were expecting this,” Gordon said. “This happened the last time I got pregnant. As I got bigger I started getting more and more bad notes and emails from people.”

Standing up, she showed her baby bump. “By the way, you can’t really hide something like this.”

Kristi later stated that the entire experience has taught her a valuable lesson.

“No matter how rational or confident you are, the mean things people say can have an impact,” she said. “The negative thoughts seep in when you don’t even realize it. Even a little joking comment could do some damage. Hopefully this can help us all be more aware of our impact on others.”

“The result has been hundreds of emails, thousands of Facebook and Twitter messages, all saying how outraged they are at some of the feedback I’ve received.

“For those of you emailing to say I look great and to keep my head up — THANK YOU! Please also share a kind comment to the person next to you.”
