A woman beater recently got a taste of his own medicine after he was caught hitting and mistreating his girlfriend. The physical altercation reportedly took place outside of a Waffle House. However, the exact location is unknown.

Based on the bigger man’s rant in the video, the woman beater was caught hitting his girlfriend and spewing explicit insults at her outside of the restaurant. Unfortunately, the disrespect must have continued when they came inside the establishment. Fed up with the way the woman was being treated, a bigger man took it upon himself to address the alleged woman beater’s actions. Now, the bigger man’s rant has gone viral.

The three-minute video starts in mid-confrontation. The bigger man can be seen yelling at the woman beater seen seated at a table inside the restaurant. The woman beater appears to be a bit unnerved by the bigger man, but it’s quite obvious the bigger man’s purpose is to make sure he understands how it feels to be bullied and defenseless.

As he continues to demean the woman beater, he takes things a step further and challenges the guy to fight with him. Of course, the woman beater backs down. Another man, presumably a friend of the woman beater, can be seen attempting to intervene but the bigger man refuses to back down because he’s obviously trying to prove a point.

The video takes a shocking turn just after the 0:30 second mark when the bigger man puts his hands on the woman beater. Again, he challenges the guy who just continues to back down. After more than a minute of humiliation, the woman beater attempts to stand up for himself, but to no avail!

He’s pulled out of his seat by the bigger man, but makes no attempt to swing at him. Instead, he’s able to move out of the bigger guy’s reach to hide behind his friend! Then, he threatens to shoot the bigger guy, but still, he makes no attempt to fight back.

After more than a minute of verbal sparring, the woman beater exits the restaurant, leaving his girlfriend seated in the booth. The video, which surfaced online via YouTube Mar. 8, has gone viral with more than one million views.

Surprisingly, the video has received mixed responses. Many users have taken to YouTube and Reddit with their opinions of the shocking footage. While many social media users applauded the bigger man for standing up to the woman beater, others felt he took things a bit too far. Of course, many users also took the opportunity to blast the woman beater. Needless to say, the comments are quite brash.

Then when he realizes the guy that saw him hit a woman isn’t backing down he threatens to shoot? The dude is not only a coward but weak. “I don’t think he (the big dude) needed to escalate as much as he did. He proved his point in the first 30 seconds of the video (and what happened before the video started). The women beater was embarrassed and emasculated in front of his peers. He could have ended it there and not resort to all the shoving.”

Cassandra C. is in remission after nearly six months of chemotherapy. However, the Connecticut teen said she is still upset that she is being forced to receive to cancer treatment. Although the chemo may have saved her life, the 17-year old said she should have a right to refuse the medication.

In September 2014, Cassandra C. was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. As reported by CNN, the teen was given an 85 percent chance of survival — if she received chemotherapy.

Although she was well aware of the risks, Cassandra made a conscious decision to forgo treatment. However, her doctors, and local officials, disagreed.

As the teen missed several medical appointments, her mother was reported to the Connecticut Department of Children and Families for neglect.

Cassandra C. insists that the choice was hers alone, and her mother was simply supporting her decision. However, the teen was eventually removed from her mother’s home and placed in foster care.

As reported by Hartford Courant, Cassandra was permitted to return to her mother’s home on one condition — she was ordered to report for chemotherapy.

The teen said she “endured two days” of treatment. However, she was devastated that she was forced to receive the medication against her will. As she refused further treatment, and did not want to return to foster care, Cassandra C. ran away from home.

Cassandra eventually surrendered the DCF, as she feared her mother would be arrested. The teen was immediately taken to a local hospital, where she was forced to receive chemotherapy.

“I should have had the right to say no, but I didn’t. I was strapped to a bed by my wrists and ankles and sedated. I woke up in the recovery room with a port surgically placed in my chest. I was outraged and felt completely violated. My phone was taken away, the hospital phone was removed from my room and even the scissors I used for art were taken.”

As reported by ABC News, the teen remains hospitalized at the Connecticut Medical Center. However, Cassandra C.’s cancer is in remission.

Cassandra said “the chemo wasn’t as bad as [she] thought it would be” and she is thankful to be in remission. However, she is still upset that the treatment was forced against her will.

Although Cassandra C. is in remission, she remains in the custody of the DCF. A juvenile court hearing, which is scheduled for next week, will determine whether the teen will be returned to her mother’s care.

Jared Padalecki, star of the CW hit show Supernatural, has embarked on a campaign to save lives outside of his television persona. In an effort to help individuals suffering from depression, addictions, and thoughts of suicide, he has joined the non-profit organization To Write Love On Her Arms. He joins the organization as his character in the show begins to experience similar feelings to those that belong to the group. Padalecki hopes his work with the organization will inspire fans to reach out for help or help a friend in need.

People Magazine shared that Jared Padalecki has become engrossed in To Write Love On her Arms and has started a t-shirt campaign to help support the organization. His t-shirt carries the slogan, “Always Keep Fighting” and started with a goal of selling 1,000 pieces. However, his dedicated fan base stepped up to the plate and blew the goal out of the water.

To Write Love On her Arms, also known as TWLOHA, enthusiastically accepted Padalecki’s support by allowing the limited edition shirt to become available to the public. Padalecki took to twitter and his Facebook page, admitting he finally figured out how to use the site, to spread the word of his support, according to the Liberty Voice.

Padalecki hopes his support will encourage sufferers of depression, anxiety, addiction, and thoughts of suicide to keep fighting, never give up, and seek the help they need to keep going. Although proceeds from the sales of the shirt will benefit TWLOHA, he is excited about the support and awareness that it will also conjure.

When asked why he chose the slogan, he relayed its creation to a personal experience.

“I used to work with somebody who had been sober for 20 years, and he told me that it’s a daily struggle – that he wakes up every morning knowing it’s going to be a battle.”

He continued,

“People who are dealing with depression or addition or suicidal thoughts or mental illness … they’re strong. You’re strong because you’ve been in this fight and you wake up thinking you’re going to beat it again today.”

Many have questioned why Jodi Arias, a convicted killer, is being offered so many luxuries while behind bars. The murderer spends up to nine hours a day video chatting with “fans” from a laptop in her cell. She can be seen enjoying Hershey’s bars while giving her admirers big smiles. This had led many to believe the Jodi is hardly suffering while in prison and should have many of her privileges revoked. In addition to spending much of her time talking with her admirers, Jodi has also encouraged illegal behavior from young teens. Two 15-year-old girls video chatted with Arias, after being told their age, the convicted killer told the girls to get fake IDs so they could continue to talk as callers needed to be at least 18-years-old to phone in.

The Daily Mail reports that Arias is confined to her cell for 23 hours of the day. However, she doesn’t seem to mind the confines as she spends the majority of it on her laptop speaking with fans from around the globe. Jodi Arias’ trial made waves across the nation as the woman narrowly escaped the death penalty. Just one juror sat between Arias and a certain death. However, the jury was hung as the one juror would not change their vote and Arias will now spend life in prison. Many had hoped a life in prison would be suitable for the horrific slaying of Jodi’s boyfriend; however, some are now questioning if the sentence is a punishment at all as Arias seems to be getting along just fine in prison.

According to ABC News, at least 27 “fans” have called in to Arias for face-to-face video chatting just this weekend. Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio notes that calls have come in from various parts of the United States with at least one call coming from Greece. It was noted that two 15-year old girls called Arias from Ohio because of their fixation with the high-profile murderer. However, when Arias found out the girls were too young to make the call, instead of disconnecting, she told the girls to seek out fake IDs so that they could talk to her again.

Some of the callers have taken screenshots during the call. The images show Arias smiling and in one she is enjoying a Hershey’s bar. Arias has no lack of funds in prison as she has many admirers from around the world sending her money to ensure she has the best life possible in prison. This includes the ability to make video calls. Anyone can call in to talk to an inmate; however, Arias must pay $5 for each phone call that can last up to 20 minute a piece.

Brandi Glanville has added armchair psychology to her many talents. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ star says when dealing with Lisa Rinna, you never know which of the reality TV star’s three personalities you’re going to get.

In her Bravo blog Wednesday, Brandi writes that Lisa Rinna with multiple personality disorder. According to Brandi, Lisa Rinna has three separate and distinct personalities. There is the “bubbly, cool chick” Lisa, the actress Lisa who uses her “convincing actress voice” to label others white trash, insane or an addict or all three, and then there is the third Lisa.

“The third Lisa R. is the one that said, ‘Why is everyone afraid of Kim Richards?’ and now says, ‘Kim Richards scares me!’ This is the same personality all the other women seem to excuse the most and have to literally physically restrain from violence.”

While Brandi says at the beginning of her rant that her RHOBH co-star has three personalities, she actually lists four. The fourth Lisa Rinna is the one who uses Twitter to bash others, but then quickly deletes her Tweets.

“This last one is the same Lisa R. taking angry potshots at people online and on Twitter since November…Don’t worry she deleted her many crazy Tweets pretty quickly, but they’re out there. We all know once you delete something it lives forever. I seriously need a chart to figure out who Lisa R. really is and which personality we have to deal with on the daily. Her multiple-personality disorder is so confusing.”

Eileen Davidson, on the other hand, has a different take on what is going on with Lisa Rinna, at least when it comes to her handling Kim Richards. After Tuesday night’s episode of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Davidson wrote in her Bravo blog that, in actuality, Lisa is scared of Kim and after the physical altercation between the two, Rinna is in “pure survival mode.” Davidson seems to understand why Lisa now treats Richards with kid gloves.

Lisa Rinna is not the only one Brandi Glanville rants against in her latest blog. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Brandi thinks Lisa Vanderpump is to blame for the slap she received from Glanville after the dinner on the “Love Boat.” Glanville also thinks Lisa V. has multiple personalities as well, but in her case, just two, and according to Brandi, Vanderpump conveniently switches between the two personalities depending on the situation, especially when she wants to make someone on her “hit list” look bad.

‘RHOBH’s Brandi Glanville Diagnoses Lisa Rinna With Multiple Personality Disorder is an article from: The Inquisitr News

Desiree Andrews was cheering on her basketball team at Lincoln Middle School when some bullies started to pick on the young girl with Down Syndrome.

Little did Desiree know it was a moment that would alter her life forever.

The incident, which happened last year, has changed a lot of things for Desiree. The girl who”dances to her own beat” no longer walks to class alone, and has plenty of friends around her thanks in large part to the basketball players who took a stand for her.

The incident took place during a basketball game last year. When some players from the Lincoln basketball team saw what was happening to Desiree they decided to take action. A group of players walked off the floor during the game and confronted the bullies, telling them to leave Desiree alone.

“One of the kids stepped up and said, ‘Don’t mess with her,'” said Brandon Morris, who was the boys seventh-grade coach last year. “Then all of the guys got together to show her support.”

Miles Rodriguez, one of the Lincoln Middle School players who walked off the floor to support Desiree, said they didn’t think it was fair the way their friend was being treated.

“So when I heard they were talking about her like, it kind of like made me mad,” Rodriguez said.

Scooter Terrien, another player who confronted the bullies, said he thought it was an injustice that the girl with Down Syndrome was being picked on.

“It’s not fair when other people get treated wrong because we’re all the same. We’re all created the same. God made us the same way,” said Scooter Terrien, Lincoln Middle School basketball player.

The players are now in eighth grade, and at the final home game of their careers they decided to again honor Desiree Andrews. The team now refers to their home court as “D’s House” and before games get into a group huddle and chant “Who’s house? D’s house!”

Desiree’s father Cliff Andrews said his daughter was inspired by the show Glee, which features a cheerleader with Down Syndrome. Cliff said he tried to thank the boys who stood up for his daughter, but found it too difficult to put his thanks into words.

It’s been a godsend to us,” he said. “Those boys, I tried to talk to them in person, but I couldn’t keep the tears back.”

Ben Woods, an eighth grader who goes to Kenosha School of Technology Enhanced Curriculum but plays on the Lincoln basketball team, said the incident has helped more than just Desiree.

“I think it’s great because some people thought Lincoln was a bad school, that it had a bad reputation, and I think this helps people think differently about that.”

Teachers say the incident with Desiree Andrews and the basketball players who supported her has helped the entire school. Laura Stone, a longtime teacher and the school’s cheerleading coach, said having a cheerleader with Down Syndrome and seeing basketball players rise to her defense has helped all the students “grow and become more compassionate.”[Image via Kenosha News]

A former Apprentice star, who happens also to be a former Royal Marine, reportedly punched a cab driver while drunk, following an altercation.

The former reality contestant show star, Chris Farrell, was allegedly tossed out of the cab when he called the driver a racist name. The former marine was in the cab on the way home with his partner having consumed a whole bottle of wine and a few beers.

The driver claims he was assaulted by both Farrell and his partner, as prosecutor Alan Currums said in court,

As he [taxi driver] approached the female he says he was punched in the face by the defendant. He said he was called ‘a p****’. The taxi driver stopped the vehicle on the hard shoulder to call police. The defendant had drunk a bottle of wine and a few beers but wouldn’t say he was intoxicated. He said he was angry and upset with the driver.

Judge Eileen Ashton fined the defendant $700 as well as $250 in compensation to the driver along with an additional court fee of $200.

Even though the once-successful businessmen also enjoyed an illustrious career with the marines for over ten years, Farrell had a history of drink driving, fraud and even for “carrying an offensive weapon.”

Back in 2009, Farrell pleaded guilty to possessing a baton and a knuckle-duster which he kept in his car.

In stating his client’s position, his defence attorney, Gerry Pachter, said,

He [Farrell] recognises that he should’ve turned a blind eye. The taxi driver pulled up and kicked them out of the taxi – this is what got to them. It was dark and in an unsafe area. Mr Farrell regrets his behaviour that night. He is very remorseful but felt the taxi driver had been particularly unpleasant.

On top of that, claimed Farrell’s defence, “Mr Farrell thought the taxi driver had been aggressive towards him and his partner.”

The case continues as it remains to be seen whether Farrell will get a fine or be ordered to serve community service.

A Chuck E. Cheese attack has police searching for several adults in the Parma, Ohio, area. According to the Huffington Post, the attack happened on Sunday night when at least five adults got physically violent with a number of employees after a photo booth in the eatery malfunctioned. Evidently there were some words exchanged, and people got out of control.

This all happened during a child’s birthday party. There was a photo booth machine that wasn’t working, so the child’s mother went to tell a manager. The manager said that he would address her concerns shortly, but things went south just after the complaint was mentioned.

The Chuck E. Cheese attack came after the woman’s boyfriend said that he didn’t like the way the manager spoke to his girlfriend. Sources say that the man got violent for no reason, and that he wasn’t provoked in any way. It didn’t take long for other members of the party to get involved, surveillance footage showing some push their way into the kitchen, and just start beating up on the workers.

According to the Washington Post, two managers needed to go to the hospital because of their injuries, but were released. In total, six employees were injured in the brawl. No children were reported physically harmed during the altercation.

“I’m characterizing this as an attack on the employees of the restaurant by a mob of people. There is no evidence at this point to show otherwise. This was an unprovoked attack on a bunch of employees trying to do their job,” said Parma Police Lt. Kevin Riley.

The Chuck E. Cheese attack has left police looking for additional information. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, police have released the surveillance footage in hopes of having someone be able to identify any of the suspects. So far, no arrests have been made in the case.

“We are anxious to bring these individuals to justice and are actively working with Parma police to provide information that will lead to their arrest,” Chuck E. Cheese’s said in a statement.

The company also offered the following message about their dedication to safety and service.

“We take any incident in our stores very seriously and have spent more than $15 million to date on measures to help ensure the safety of our guests. With an environment dedicated to serving young children and families, we will not tolerate violence of any kind in our stores. As a company, the safety of our guests and employees is always a top priority and we will continue to endeavor to the protect the experience families have in our locations so parents are able to trust that their time in Chuck E. Cheese’s will be clean, safe, wholesome family fun.”

The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality are working to contain thousands of gallons of manure that have spilled into a rural Michigan community. The manure is flowing in the Fulton area off of a farming operation’s field. The manure had been spread onto farmland last week when the temperatures were still below freezing.

Unfortunately for the Michigan community, this week’s incredibly quick warm-up has caused a dangerous situation as streams of manure flowed off of the farmland and into the surrounding neighborhood, according to WWMT News.

“I don’t want that in my yard, or in my area. It’s kind of disgusting,” neighbor Lisa Norris told a reporter of the feces overflow. Environmental groups say that the practice of spraying mass amounts of liquid manure on large areas of farmland while the ground is frozen is causing an extremely dangerous level of phosphorus to enter Michigan waterways in addition to bacterial and viral contaminates found in excess in the manure.

The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality found that, as the snow started to melt quickly Sunday, the manure stream began to run off the field, flowing over a road and into ditches and nearby properties.

“Try to keep anymore contaminated water from heading down stream. They have it dammed at the field,” Bruce Washburn, an environmental quality analyst at the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, stated while mentioning a concern that the feces-based material will make its way to the watershed and sicken wildlife. “And obviously human health is the other concern that we have. Swimming in it, drinking it, that’s what the health department is looking into.”

The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality analyst said that they still aren’t certain if the streams of manure infiltrating the neighborhood were caused by improper application by the farming company or if it was just bad timing, but did call the practice of spreading manure on ground that is still covered with snow a “risky practice.”

Still, the farming company was reportedly very proactive at trying to contain and clean up the streams of manure, which is critical given that there is still more snow that will melt as Michigan continues to see warm, spring-like weather. Local residents are concerned that the cleanup won’t be finished before the streams of manure make their way into the ground water and fear contamination of wells that they rely on for drinking water.

Last year, after Lake Erie experienced an overabundance of blue-green algae, parts of Ohio dealt with toxic, contaminated drinking water. The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality fielded concerns that it might have been caused by farmers’ manure running off into the great lake. By December though, the analysts reported that that was not the case.

“Manure spreading happens around the state,” Brad Wurfel of the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality explained at the time. The way farmers must handle manure depends on the farm’s individual permit prohibitions. In some cases, farmers are not allowed to apply manure to frozen ground, according to the Detroit Free Press.

One environmental group claims Michigan concentrated animal farming operations are often not as careful as they should be while spreading manure.

“Since 2000, there have been 4,680 violations and discharges, many of them multiple-day violations, confirmed by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality in [South Central Michigan]”

Depending on the outcome of the current investigation in Southwestern Michigan by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, the Kalamazoo County farming company could face fines.

Researchers have successfully reinforced concrete with plastic waste, paving way for the first large-scale sustainable construction practice.

Researchers from James Cook University (JCU) in Australia have succeeded in creating concrete that’s correctly reinforced by plastic waste, rather than steel. The revolutionary practice can surely have a huge impact on the ecology by ensuring plastic waste is reused rather than fill dumps and leech harmful chemicals into the ground and atmosphere. Speaking about the technique, Rabin Tuladhar, the lead researcher from JCU said,

“Using recycled plastic, we were able to get more than a 90 percent saving on CO2 emissions and fossil fuel usage compared to using the traditional steel mesh reinforcing. The recycled plastic also has obvious environmental advantages over using virgin plastic fibers.”

Concrete With Plastic Instead Of Steel Could Greatly Help Reduce Plastic Pollution

Plastic is referred to as virgin when it is the first-ever use of the long-chained compound. However, majority of the plastics can be easily melted and reused instead of being discarded after the first use. The concrete was reinforced using recycled polypropylene plastic instead of regular steel cables.

Plastic Reinforced Concrete May Not Be Strong Enough For Buildings, But Quite OK For Other Purposes

Though the plastic reinforced concrete won’t be allowed in construction in the near future, the plastic-reinforced concrete can be safely used to build footpaths and precast elements such as drainage pits and concrete sleepers. Tuladhar is now working closely with local cement and concrete producers to devise more ways on how to apply the findings and the eco-friendly concreter more broadly.

Concrete is the second most-used material on Earth. In fact it is the most used artificial material and second only to water when all the materials are taken into consideration. Production of cement, one of concrete’s key ingredients, is alone responsible for 5 percent of the world’s annual CO2 production.

A Large Portion Of Plastic Waste Can Be Recycled, But Ends Up In Landfill

While the percentage might not sound much, plastic on the other hand, which is derived from crude oil, is responsible for generation of millions of tons of waste each year that is not only found on land, but in the ocean as well. Unfathomable amount of CO2 emissions can be directly or indirectly attributed to the improper usage of plastic.

Reinforcing concrete with plastic can ensure the end result is not only strong and durable, but sustainable and eco-friendly as well. In addition to the same, Tuladhar is also working on making concrete more sustainable in other ways, such as replacing natural sand with 100 percent crusher dust – a byproduct of stone quarries – and replacing cement with up to 30 percent mining waste.

Fans of The Vampire Diaries followed the love affair between Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder with zeal, seeing in them a real life love affair to parallel the passion shared between their Vampire Diaries characters, Elena Gilbert and Damon Salvatore. Even now, after so many months since the Dobrev-Somerhalder break-up and Ian’s engagement announcement, fans still hold out for a reconciliation. At the very least, they hold out hope for the prospect of a strong bond of friendship between Nina and Ian, but even that may be too much to ask.

According to reports on Celeb Dirty Laundry, Nina Dobrev is far less happy with the current status quo as she would like for the public and for Ian himself to believe. While the Vampire Diaries actress seems to be moving on with her own life in both professional and romantic areas, sources close to Ms. Dobrev have been reporting that Nina has become bitter with jealousy.

The source of that jealousy, reports International Business Times, has much less to do with love than people might first assume. Nina is apparently more concerned with the attention Ian Somerhalder is getting in the media, while Dobrev herself is remaining relatively obscure, as far as Hollywood media is concerned.

Nina is right about one thing: Ian Somerhalder is definitely getting the press. Aside from Ian’s engagement to Twilight star Nikki Reed, which brings popular headlines in itself, Somerhalder’s star is also continuing to rise. Ian just recently made more headlines for his latest accomplishment as a first-time director for this week’s episode of The Vampire Diaries and, if he’s nearly as talented in the director’s chair as his other Vampire Diaries co-star Paul Wesley, this may not be the last time fans see Ian Somerhalder in the director’s chair.

Nina Dobrev, meanwhile, has failed to create similar buzz around her own name. While Somerhalder has been preparing for his nuptials, Nina has been dating a series of boyfriends, none of them seriously. While a single twenty-something television star hitting the strip may make a headline or two, it certainly will never create the buzz Somerhalder is receiving due to his engagement. Hollywood loves weddings. Doesn’t everyone?

On the professional front, Ms. Dobrev has been casting her net far and wide in the hopes of catching a starring role in a successful film franchise, possibly hoping to leave Ian Somerhalder and The Vampire Diaries behind. Success with her latest film, The Final Girls, hitting theaters this week, may enable her to do just that.

A federal judge ruled Wednesday that Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA), Philadelphia’s public transit service, must accept anti-Islam advertising featuring Adolf Hitler and a prominent, 1940’s Muslim cleric, The Philadelphia Inquirer is reporting.

SEPTA will now have to carry this ad on their buses.

The ad in question features a photograph taken at a 1941 meeting between Hitler and Hajj Amin al-Husseini, a Muslim cleric of the time whose radio broadcasts supported the Nazis.

The American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI), an advocacy group based in New Hampshire, produced the ad and submitted it for advertising on SEPTA buses last May, but SEPTA denied the ads, claiming their policy prohibits advertising that “disparages” any group “on the basis of race, religious belief, age, sex, alienage, national origin, sickness or disability.”

SEPTA’s general counsel, Gino Benedetti, said via Courthouse News that SEPTA rejected the ad because it “disparaged Muslims because it portrayed them in a way that I believe was untrue and incorrect and false. [The ad] put every single Muslim in the same category as being a Jew hater.”

The AFDI sued, claiming their First Amendment rights to free speech were violated by the decision.

On Wednesday, U.S. District Judge Mitchell S. Goldberg sided with the AFDI.

“It is clear that the anti-disparagement standard promulgated by SEPTA was a principled attempt to limit hurtful, disparaging advertisements. While certainly laudable, such aspirations do not, unfortunately cure First Amendment violations.”

Judge Goldberg also noted that SEPTA has, in the past, featured issue-based advertising dealing with such matters as fracking, religion, teacher seniority, contraception, and animal cruelty.

The AFDI claimed that their advertising featuring Hitler with an Islamic cleric was “timely,” “”in light of the fact that many Jews (and Christians) are being persecuted in Islamic countries in the Middle East.”

Philadelphia is not the first city whose public transit system has been the focus of anti-Islamic ads. Transit systems in Boston, Seattle, and New York have also featured such ads. The New York ads, according to this Inquisitr report, were particularly controversial for their inclusion of a photo of an ISIS beheading about to take place.

SEPTA spokesperson Jerri Williams said that the agency was “disappointed” with the anti-Islamic ads, but no decision on what steps will be taken moving forward has been reached.

Remember the creepy setting for the first season of American Horror Story? The L.A. Times reports the house, known as the Alfred F. Rosenheim Mansion, which became the setting for the show, has just been sold for $3.2 million, a fraction of the original asking price. At this time it’s unclear if the new owner plans to live in the “haunted” house. According to the L.A. Times, the mansion has been on and off the market for about a decade. The original asking price was $17 million and was reduced over time down to $3.678 million.

Architect Alfred Rosenheim designed and built the house around 1908. American Horror Story’s pilot episode was shot on location in the Tudor-style home located in the Country Club Park in L.A.’s Arlington Heights area. Once the pilot episode was filmed, parts of the house’s interior were replicated down to the very last detail, such as the inclusion of the Tiffany stained glass windows, to recreate its look and atmosphere.

The only part of the house not included in American Horror Story is a chapel — it can be seen from the outside but was edited out of exterior shots with CGI for the show. The rest of the season of American Horror Story was shot on the sets built to look like the house.

Fans of American Horror Story have expressed their agreement on various social media sites that show creator Ryan Murphy found the perfect house. It became its own character on the show. When searching for a house to use for the show, Murphy was said to have been looking for one that could be “both creepy and attractive.”

Production designer Mark Worthington described in an email how Murphy’s choice fit the atmosphere of American Horror Story.

“The style is quite mixed… It’s a bit of a mash-up in the end, which I think contributes wonderfully to the somewhat ominous quality it has.”

If you’re a Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan, you might recognize the “murder house” featured in American Horror Story from that show. The same house was used in 1997 as the Frat House location for the Halloween episode “Fear, Itself” in which the characters’ fears manifest themselves.

The “murder house” from American Horror Story in real life looks much brighter inside than it did on the show, which may have helped the house to finally sell.

American Horror Story has been renewed for a fifth season and will return this fall. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Lady Gaga has been cast, and the show will take place in a hotel. Rumors are circulating that the Cecil Hotel in L.A. could end up becoming the setting for American Horror Story’s upcoming season. The hotel reportedly has a creepy history that could serve as inspiration for the show.

In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Common had the chance to share 25 facts about himself that many people simply don’t know. Some of the highlights of his list of interesting facts were his favorite foods, fetish and female body parts.

Favorite Foods

Even though he admits in the interview that he cannot cook, Common was very specific when it came to identifying his favorite foods and snacks.

“I love fish and shrimp tacos, pizza and French fries… My preferred drink is red wine or sangria… My favorite nighttime snack is gluten-free chocolate-chip cookies and rice milk.”

In another fact added to the list, the Selma actor also states that he does not like to eat macaroni and cheese.

Favorite Fetish

When it comes to fetishes, Common confessed that he is one of the many people that have one. However, the nature of the Glory rapper’s fetish is not very common – especially when compared to such popular fetishes as feet, shoes, hair and leather.

“I have a fetish for pinching cheeks.”

Many people might think that pinching cheeks is something enjoyed by affectionate mothers and elderly grandparents. However, Common proves that stereotype wrong with his own appreciation of this specific type of pinching.

Favorite Female Body Parts

Considering the many different parts of the female body, many fans and critics might not be able to identify his absolute favorite – especially with the numerous poetic references that Common has made in his song lyrics over the years.

“My favorite body parts on a woman are eyes, lips and thighs.”

Over the years, he has been romantically linked to numerous celebrities that shine in each of those three areas – including singer Erykah Badu, tennis star athlete Serena Williams and Oscar nominee Taraji P. Henson.

Looks like Kerry Washington is branching out from playing Olivia Pope. Washington, who currently stars in the widely popular ABC series Scandal, has nabbed a huge role in an HBO film.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Washington will play Anita Hill in the HBO movie Confirmation. Washington will also act as an executive producer on the film as well.

Confirmation will document the “1991 Clarence Thomas-Hill Supreme Court nomination hearings, which brought the country to a standstill and forever changed the way people think about sexual harassment, victims’ rights and modern-day race relations.”

In 2014 Slate spoke with the real Anita Hill about the documentary Anita, which covered Hill’s testify that Clarence Thomas, a Supreme Court nominee, had sexually harassed her when he was her boss back in 1991. What followed Hill’s career years later is unthinkable — death threats, sexual violence, and even bomb threats.

At the time, Hill told Slate that the trial and public perception changed her life forever. “I thought I would just go back and do what I do: commercial law and contracts. But within months I was getting so many requests that it just felt that there was a sincere effort for people to understand sexual harassment. It took a lot of letters from people who were asking really sincere questions, and so I gave it two years. And 23 years later … I say to people I do know how to count. There just seem to be so many layers to the problem that we’re still trying to address them.”

She continued, “Of course I get angry… Maybe all those different phases of grief. And I do tend to process it privately. That is the nature of who I am. Even if I am seen as a public figure, I can’t put everything out there because people want to see it.

As for HBO Films this is another promising project in a series of successful undertakings. The production company has been producing stellar content for a few years now, but it has only recently received the recognition it deserves both critically and commercially. Kerry Washington Snags Role As Anita Hill In HBO’s ‘Confirmation’ is an article from: The Inquisitr News

Tron, the film that brought computer nerd and science fictions geeks together, also ushered in a new era of special effects. Though they seem primitive to today’s standards, they were quite revolutionary in their time. That was 1982.

28 years later, and cult following managed to produce 2010’s Tron Legacy. Tron Legacy raked in $400 million at the box office, though it had mix reviews. All signs pointed to a sequel, but many had begun to give up hope by 2015.

However, according to Vancity Buzz, Vancouver, Canada has been chosen for the filming location of the long-awaited third installment to the Tron franchise.Tron Legacy was also filmed there.

So far, the cast has very little confirmed. Garrett Hedlund has been confirmed to return to his previous role.

Hedlund played Sam Flynn, son of the Grid creator and star of the original 1982 Tron film Kevin Flynn. Tron Legacy saw Hedlund and Olivia Wilde, who played Quorra, riding off into the sunset in the real world. Presumably she would return, but there has not been any confirmations thus far.

Quorra was essential to Tron Legacy’s plot, as she was the last of the ISOs, a race of human-like beings formed in the Grid.

Hollywood Reporter reports that another member of the Tron legacy team is confirmed to return. Joseph Kosinski, director of Tron Legacy and Oblivion, will return to the director’s chair once more. Disney is looking to start filming October 5, 2015, according to Comicbook.

The principal actors of the original Tron film, Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner, are yet to be confirmed. The man who was, and is, Tron has been keeping the rumors alive about a third installment. Boxleitner, according to Craveonline, suggested in January that Tron 3 could shoot this year.

“All I know is, they don’t tell me anything, but they want to do it I would say probably the end of this year, for 2015 maybe. They don’t have any dates but I’m thinking from the scuttlebutt I’m hearing that’s it”

Though current reports have very little in the way of information about the plot, or confirmed actors, Tron himself has a lot to say. The ending, according to Boxleitner, is more about beginnings than endings.

“That’s what I’m told, but you didn’t hear me say that. I think it’s going to be a lot about taking the company back because if you remember Sam Flynn says to Alan at the end, just before he rides his bike off into the sunrise with Quorra, says, ‘We’re going to take the company back.’ That’s not the end of the movie. That’s the beginning of the next one. That’s foreshadowing. And you don’t get Cillian Murphy to do an unscripted cameo.”

Certainly, being in the real world, Boxleitner’s Alan Bradley would have a lot more to do. Though, Tron was not killed in Tron Legacy. Who knows what the future could be programmed to be. End of line.

Tron 3 Untitled Sequel Has Been Green lighted, Will A Third Tron Film Be Upon Us Soon? is an article from: The Inquisitr News

Rodner Figueroa, host of the show “El Gordo Y la Flaca” on Univision, was fired for making a comment comparing First Lady Michelle Obama to cast members of the film The Planet of the Apes, NBC News reported today. Figueroa reportedly pointed to a picture of Michelle Obama and said, “You know Michelle Obama looks like she is of the cast of The Planet of the Apes. Others before Figueroa, especially on internet blogs and social networking sites, have made such a comparison.

“The exchange took place during a segment on makeup transformations by a makeup artist, Paolo Ballesteros, who makes himself look like famous women celebrities,” NBC News reported about the comment by Rodner Figueroa.

Univision fired Figueroa from his role with the network, stating that there is no place for racist comments on their network.

ABC News reported on the incident, stating, “Talk show host Rodner Figueroa was fired from Univision after saying that Michelle Obama looks like someone from the cast of “Planet of the Apes.””

Another host asked Figueroa what he was saying, ABC News reported, and he doubled down on the comment by saying, “but it is true.”

Univision called the comment “completely reprehensible” that also “in no way reflect the values or opinions of Univision.”

Rodner Figueroa had worked for Univision for 17 years and had hosted the show “El Gordo Y la Flaca” since 2000. Figueroa reportedly has not yet comment on his firing.

The comment by Rodner Figueroa wasn’t the first instance of racism involving Michelle Obama, theInqusitr reported last year. Last year was a “year of racial stirring” for Obama, the articles reported.

“Michelle Obama’s complete u-turn when describing an interaction with a white lady asking for her help reaching groceries is not the first time she has used her status to misguidedly cry racism. Indeed, in May, the Inquisitr reported how Obama urged high school students to monitor their family and friends for racial insensitivity,” the Inquisitr reported.

Rodner Figueroa is not the first to be accused of racism for making derogatory remarks about the controversial First Lady, Michelle Obama. The comments he made, and many like them, are tolerated by few and are clearly the reason Figueroa was fired by Univision. Not only did Figueroa make the comment, but when asked about it by a colleague at Univision, he stuck with the comment and said it was true.

Rodner Figueroa Fired For Michelle Obama ‘Apes’ Comment is an article from: The Inquisitr News

Taisha Allen has claimed that she’s been both targeted and beaten by police, something that she insists is the result of her recording Eric Garner’s death.

During an interview with PIXA 11 News, Allen claims that the injury to her arm and several bruises that she has are from police officers who used excessive force.

Discussing the incident, Allen explained that NYPD officers attacked her around two weeks ago and that it unfolded as they tried to arrest some of her friends.

“He was like, ‘Oh, you’re the [expletive] from the Eric Garner case’. He grabs me, throws me over the gate and beats me with the baton on my back. He drags me from the gate then took my arms and said stop resisting arrest,” Allen declared.

Allen was insistent that police had an issue because she was the woman who recorded Garner being taken down to the ground and then made unresponsive by officers.

In fact, Allen declared that the NYPD officers who used excessive force on her made a pointed reference to the incident, remarking, “The officer said, ‘You are that little girl from the Eric Garner case’.”

The incident featuring Allen being allegedly attacked was also filmed, however the footage collected is particularly grainy, and you can only hear her screaming.

Allen’s friend has admitted that she strolled through a park located behind her building on Staten Island, which is illegal at night. After being caught, police admitted to PIX11 that they planned to simply give Allen’s friend a summons. However when they learnt that there was a warrant for her arrest she was arrested.

Allen then decided to jump in and protest her friend’s arrest. This is when police decided to turn and focus their attention on Allen, and after processing her information they soon learnt that there was a warrant out for Allen’s arrest too.

The NYPD have insisted that Allen’s bruises and injured arm were the result of her losing control. Officers have explained that she pushed a cop and then climbed over a fence as she looked to avoid arrest.

Just a few days later Allen was arrested yet again for assault, while the NYPD have confirmed that they have now started to investigated Allen’s claims.

In July 43-year-old Garner was killed after a police officer put him into a chokehold. He was unarmed, and the decision for the police officer involved not to be indicted caused outrage at the end of 2014.

After the incident, Allen was interviewed by CBS New York, where she declared, “It’s crazy, and I was like, ‘Perform CPR on him,’ and they was like, ‘He don’t need CPR.’ He was not breathing at the time’.”

Woman Behind Eric Garner Death Video Claims NYPD Have Targeted, Beaten Her is an article from: The Inquisitr News

In a surprise revelation on the eve of the Hubble Space Telescope’s 25th anniversary, NASA has announced that it has found evidence of the presence of a saltwater ocean on Ganymede, Jupiter’s largest moon. In a press release issued by NASA, they add that the underground ocean on Ganymede could contain more water than all the water on the earth’s surface!

Scientists have for years attempted to find evidence of liquid water on worlds other than the Earth. While several planets and moons, including our own moon have shown some evidence of water in the form of frozen ice and polar ice caps, so far, there has been no evidence of any of these world’s having enough liquid water to sustain life as we know it. This landmark discovery on Ganymede changes all that. Current estimates put the Ganymede saltwater seas to be a least 60 miles (100 kms) deep – making the 11 km deep Marianas Trench, the deepest point on Earth look silly. Unlike our Earthly ocean though, Ganymede’s saltwater ocean is covered by a massive sheet of ice, 95 miles thick.

According to John Grunsfeld, associate administrator of NASA’s Science Mission Directorate at NASA Headquarters, Washington, the discovery of liquid water on Ganymede is a significant milestone. He credits the Hubble Space Telescope for the discovery.

“This discovery marks a significant milestone, highlighting what only Hubble can accomplish. In its 25 years in orbit, Hubble has made many scientific discoveries in our own solar system. A deep ocean under the icy crust of Ganymede opens up further exciting possibilities for life beyond Earth,” John says.

Ganymede, which also happens to be the biggest of all moons found in the solar system is so large, it is actually bigger than the planet Mercury. It is also the only moon in the solar system known to have a magnetic field of its own. In fact, it is Ganymede’s magnetic field and its interaction with Jupiter’s much larger magnetic field that resulted in the discovery of water underneath its surface.

According to NASA, Ganymede’s magnetic field causes aurorae on its southern and northern poles – much like the ones observed on Earth. Using the Hubble Space Telescope, NASA observed the changes in Ganymede’s magnetic field and its aurorae when it interfered with Jupiter’s magnetic field. The interference caused the aurorae on Ganymede to move back and forth. Measuring the intensity and frequency of this back and forth movement, scientists were able to deduce that a large amount of saltwater exists underneath the frozen surface of Ganymede.

The idea to study the characteristics of the insides of Ganymede was put forth by a team of scientist under the leadership of Joachim Saur, of the University of Cologne in Germany.

“I was always brainstorming how we could use a telescope in other ways. Is there a way you could use a telescope to look inside a planetary body? Then I thought, the aurorae! Because aurorae are controlled by the magnetic field, if you observe the aurorae in an appropriate way, you learn something about the magnetic field. If you know the magnetic field, then you know something about the moon’s interior,” Saur says.

After a detailed study of the aurorae observed on Ganymede’s poles, it was deduced that a strong magnetic field from within Ganymede was countering the effect of Jupiter’s magnetic field on it. It was suppressing the rocking of the aurorae on Ganymede’s poles by quite some margin. According to NASA, had it not been for the subterranean ocean, the rocking of the aurorae would have been six degrees instead of the currently observed two degrees.

Using this data, scientists estimated that the saltwater oceans on Ganymede could turn out to me much deeper than the oceans on Earth. The possibility of Ganymede being a world where water could be found was first suspected back in the 1970’s during the Voyager missions. In 2002, NASA’s Galileo flew past Ganymede and gave evidence about the moon possessing a strong magnetic field paving way for today’s discovery.

NASA Scientists Discover An Underground Saltwater Ocean On Jupiter’s Moon Ganymede! is an article from: The Inquisitr News

A British mother of two made a chilling discovery when she went to get a fruit snack for her six year old daughter. Nested inside a bunch of supermarket bananas were Brazilian wandering spiders, whose venom can give a man an excruciating four-hour erection before killing him.

The spider’s nest reportedly contained hundreds of eggs with the world’s deadliest arachnids, which seemed to have been shipped in the bananas from Costa Rica to the shelves of Tesco supermarket.

According to Maria Layton, “My husband bought the bananas from Tesco, they had been in the house a whole day before I ripped the bag open.

“Siri [my daughter] asked for a banana. The first banana had a funny bit on it, so I got another one for her and that was when I found the massive spider cocoon. There was a spider web on the other bananas too.

“I recognized it because I remembered seeing a news story about them, so when I saw the cocoon it rang a bell and I thought I should check it so I Googled it.

“I went through the images and there was an image which looked very similar to mine.

“I was so scared – I don’t like spiders at the best of times, but have read about the Brazilian wandering spiders – and was very frightened about the potential threat.”

The Telegraph reports that the instant Maria found the cocoon of deadly spiders, their eggs started to hatch – so she quickly put them in the freezer in a sealed container and called Tesco’s customer service.

“The spider cocoon started to unfurl so I put it in a sealed box and put it in the freezer as I read that that is supposed to kill them,” Maria explained.

“I’m glad it was me rather than Siri that opened the bananas, I think the spiders are more likely to bite small children rather than older people,” she added.

The Brazilian wandering spider, whose Greek name means ‘murderess’, is the world’s most venomous spider. Its bite can kill a person in just two hours – with children being especially vulnerable – and a man can suffer longer with a painful four-hour erection before his death.

Upon informing Tesco of the shocking and potentially deadly discovery, Maria was told by customer service to bring the bananas back to the store – venomous spiders and all – so she could get a refund.

“Tesco were a bit useless, I was really concerned about the possibility of this dangerous spider and spider eggs in my house and really wanted some helpful advice on how to act,” the 43 year old mother explained.

“I wasn’t sure if other spiders or eggs had escaped when I ripped the bag open.

“I posted the picture on Tesco Facebook page and they told me to send the wrapper in so they could get the bar-code to refund me.

“I was shocked, they failed to see the potential threat to me and my family and thought I was only interested in having a pound or so back.

“I called Food Standards but they said it wasn’t anything to do with them, I called Trading Standards but they were shut.

“I spent an hour-and-a-half ringing round trying to get some help – while I had this potentially killer spider in the house.”

Despite the obvious and necessary worry for the safety of her home, Tesco did not see the need to take responsibility for the deadly spiders being in their product.

According to a spokesperson for the company, “Our policy is for the customer to take the product to the store where it can be investigated.

“We don’t have a service whereby someone can go out to the home.”
