Shania Twain confessed during Wednesday night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live that if she ran into her former best friend, she’d say, “I wish I’d never met you.” Twain’s response came after host Andy Cohen asked her what she would say if she ran into her ex-best friend, Marie-Anne Thiebaud. Twain also added she learned a lot from the situation.

“I think there are just some people in life you would say, ‘I would wish I hadn’t met this person or I would have been better off not ever knowing that person.’ But I can’t say I would be better off because I think I learned a lot from all of that. I don’t regret it.”

Thiebaud was once Shania’s close friend and assistant until she allegedly had an affair with Twain’s then-husband, producer-songwriter Robert “Mutt” Lange. The rumored affair led to Twain and her husband divorcing in 2008 after fourteen years of marriage. Marie-Anne and Lange married, and oddly enough, Twain ended up marrying Marie-Anne’s ex-husband, Frédéric Thiebaud in 2011.

According to E!, Shania did have an awkward encounter with Marie-Anne when they ran into each other several years ago. At the time, Shania says she froze but managed to get something off her chest at that moment.

“I had a total panic attack. I just told her that she was a bad person–that’s all I could get out!”

During the “Plead the Fifth” segment of Watch What Happens Live, the player is asked three questions and can only choose one not to answer. Shania had already chosen not to answer a previous question asking which diva was the toughest to work with, referring to her appearance on the 1999 VH1 Divas special. Twain then answered the question about her former BFF.

In a 2011 interview withRedbook, Shania revealed how she felt when she found out about the affair. Shania also spoke about eventually moving forward.

“It was like I was kicked off my own bus while it was moving full speed ahead, and I landed in the dirt and everything I had was thrown out after me… I had to try to stand up, then figure out where I was and start walking. So it took me eight months before I realized that, yes, I’m still me, and yes, I’m a mother, and yes, I’m a singer and a songwriter, and I can love again, and I have friends, and yes, I’m alive.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Shania Twain will be going on tour for the first time in eleven years, which turned out to be bittersweet news for her fans because she also announced this will be her last tour.

A millionaire from Finland was recently hit with a $57,000 fine for speeding, having been caught going just 15 mph over the legal limit.

Reima Kuisla was stopped by police after driving 65 in a 50 mph zone, according to the Daily Mail. In the United States, his speeding ticket would amount to just a few hundred dollars, yet in Finland, a very different system is in place. Fines for some traffic offenses in Finland, as well as shoplifting and some securities and exchange violations, are tied to the income of the offender. After consulting the federal taxpayer database to determine Kuisla’s annual income, which was roughly $7.2 million in 2013, Finish police determined his fine amounted to an astounding $57,000.

The system for calculating fines in Finland is far different than in America, as the Atlantic points out. Finland’s program assesses how much spending money an offender has for each day of the year, dividing that sum in half to establish a reasonable penalty amount. Certain crimes generate mathematical multipliers that reflect the severity of the infraction, which are then applied to the penalty sum. In the case of Kuisla’s speeding ticket, a multiplier of 12 days was applied to achieve the sum of $57,000.

Kuisla posted an image of his ticket on Facebook, complaining about the sum he was penalized.

“Finland is impossible to live in for certain kinds of people who have high incomes and wealth. I’m considering leaving the country.”

Though seemingly exorbitant, Kuisla’s speeding ticket isn’t the most expensive one to be issued in Finland. In 2002, a similar speed violation of 15 mph over the limit earned a Nokia executive a $103,000 ticket, while two years earlier, a $39,000 fine was leveled at NHL player Teemu Selanne.

The practice, referred to as a day fine, has previously been implemented in the United States, though it failed to catch on. The first day fine issued in America was handed out in 1988, as part of a pilot program in Staten Island. According to Judith Greene, founder of the non-profit organization Justice Strategies, day fines failed to find support due to an increased focus on locking up criminals at the time.

Questionable ticketing and fining practices that arose out of Ferguson, which the Inquisitr has previously reported, as well as recent concerns related to over-incarceration, have once again raised interest in implementing such a system in the United States.

Finland Speeding Ticket: Millionaire Hit With $57,000 Fine For 15 MPH Violation is an article from: The Inquisitr News

NBC News reports that former Survivor producer Bruce Beresford-Redman has been convicted of murder in Mexico of the death of his wife. The former Survivor producer received 12 years and a fine for his wife’s death despite no definitive evidence tying Beresford-Redman to the murder of his wife.

Mexican authorities assert that the former Survivor producer murdered his wife in their hotel room at the Moon Palace Resort according to CBS News. Beresford-Redman then disposed of the body in a nearby sewer leaving her allegedly naked and beaten. She was found by police a couple of days later.

After several years of trials and waiting, the family of Monica Burgos thought they had received the justice she deserved.

“Finally, she can rest in peace.”

However, The Hollywood Reporter reports that the case may have other notable issues for the former Survivor producer. His murder trial lasted for over five years which is much longer than the year the Mexican constitution allows – which could be a possible avenue in the expected appeals process.

Also, additional charges may be brought against the Survivor producer because Beresford-Redman videotaped other inmates without their consent despite having received permission from prison officials prior to doing the video diaries for the CBS show 48 Hours. The Hollywood Reporter also reports that Beresford-Redman was deprived of all food and belongings after those video diaries had aired on 48 Hours in the United States.

Beresford-Redman’s meteoric rise in Hollywood began with a startling admission to a THR reporter.

“…[Beresford-Redman] invented a resume…”

This invented resume allowed Beresford-Redman to get his foot in the door at MTV. Then the former Survivor producer got his claim to fame with Emmy nominated episodes from the Amazon jungle and the Marquesas Islands versions of the reality show. Bruce also produced Pimp My Ride which was also an immediate hit for MTV and even had a spin-off series, Pimp My Bike, which was extremely popular overseas in places like Germany. Beresford-Redman also produced The Contender and The Restaurant for NBC as well.

Despite the conviction, Beresford-Redman has proclaimed his innocence all along. As the appeals process gets underway for Beresford-Redman’s murder conviction, his family took to Facebook to also call for a change in the extradition treaty between the U.S. and Mexico because of the Mexican authorities’ inability to “meet minimal standards of justice.”

Farrah Abraham’s return to Teen Mom OG and Maci Bookout’s potential departure are two of the biggest Teen Mom stories this month. The original cast did not expect the controversial reality show star to return to the hit MTV show after she ventured out on a different career path and, if Farrah’s previews are any indication, she didn’t plan a return to the show either!

Speaking to US Weekly back in January, creator of the show, Lauren Dolgen, explained why Farrah Abraham was being brought back to the show. She explained that, despite having the three original cast members, something was missing without that fourth story which happened to be Farrah’s.

At the time, Dolgen admitted that there was some controversy among the original cast members when they were made aware that the reality show star turned adult film star would be returning to the show. In fact, there was so much tension that Maci Bookout even threatened to quit filming! The pregnant reality show star did not want her six-year-old son on a show that features an adult film star and rumors began to swirl that Maci pulled the plug on filming.

Recently, Wetpaint did an interview with Maci and asked an important question. A video on their site starts and shows that the question asked was, “You almost stopped filming when Farrah came back. Have your feelings changed?”

Obviously, this is the question on Teen Mom OG fans minds. Maci Bookout didn’t give a definitive “yes” or “no” answer as to whether or not she is indeed leaving the show. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the rumors began swirling back in February. However, she did explain to the site her feelings about Farrah Abraham’s return and she admits that it “frustrates” her.

“I’m still frustrated by it and it doesn’t have anything to do with Farrah personally. I don’t have any hard feelings towards her, I don’t judge her or anything like that.”

This is what Maci originally said in initial interviews about Farrah’s return. So, if she doesn’t have any hard feelings towards her, why did she consider leaving the show that made her famous? Maci went on to explain that there is a “fine line in what’s appropriate for children to be around.” She voices her concern about her son being shown in a segment and the next segment potentially showing talk about adult toys and tapes, two things that Farrah Abraham is involved with. As a parent, it is Maci’s job to protect her kids and she admits that in the interview.

Maci Bookout continued to explain that she doesn’t have an issue with Farrah personally.

“My best friend could be a stripper as long as she treats me and my family right, I mean, she’s still going to be my best friend, but that also doesn’t mean I am going to have my six-year-old son involved with her career.”

At the end of the day, it is hard to say what Maci is going to do regarding her position on Teen Mom OG. Obviously, no fan wants to see her quit the show and her costars likely want her to stick around as well. Audiences have grown up knowing Maci and her family and it would be a shame to see her decide to stop filming.

Maci closed the interview by admitted that the situation she is in is “sh*tty.”

“I’m not gonna alter my parenting or change what I think is right for my family just because I am scared of hurting someone’s feelings. And it’s a sh*tty situation, but it’s the situation that I am in.”

Teen Mom OG returns to MTV on March 23 and Maci Bookout will return with it for the first season. Her pregnancy and co-parenting issues with her ex, Ryan Edwards, will be discussed during her segments.

Maci Bookout Talks Farrah Abraham Frustration, Possible ‘Teen Mom OG’ Departure is an article from: The Inquisitr News

The two girls who reportedly tried to murder a friend for the fictional character Slender Man will be tried as adults. ABC News reports that a judge ruled on Friday that the 12-year-old girls (who are now 13-years-old) will stand trial as adults after they tried to stab another 12-year-old girl to death. Their alleged victim Payton Leutner survived the horrific attack.

The judge’s decision didn’t come without protest. The attorneys representing both Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier want the charges against them to be dismissed — yes, dismissed — on the basis of belief. Their attorneys argue that the girls truly believed that they had to kill their friend to protect their loved ones from the fictional character of Creepypasta notoriety. The attorneys representing the Slender Man would-be killers say that the girls should instead face second degree attempted intentional homicide. The charges would not qualify for adult courts, and would be tried in the juvenile justice system. The judge didn’t buy into this argument.

However, both attorneys have filed motions requesting a hearing to consider moving the case back to juvenile court. The judge granted them that much, giving them scheduled hearings in May and June. It will probably be decided in those months as to whether or not these girls will truly stand trial as adults — at under 14-years-old each — in the attempted stabbing death of their 12-year-old friend.

This is just another hurdle in the upcoming trial surrounding the case. Back in December 2014 it was decided that both Geyser and Weier were competent to stand trial. CNN reports that the girls were charged as adults in the first place due to the severity of the crime they reportedly committed.

Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier allegedly plotted for months the planned slaying of their friend and classmate Payton Leutner. Under the guise of a girls’ sleepover, they lured Payton into their trap. During their sleepover, the girls reportedly led Payton into a wooded park area in Waukesha, Wisconsin. That is where they both began stabbing their classmate — landing at least 19 blows all over her body. They stabbed her over and over, barely missing her vital organs with each thrust of their knives. They then allegedly let their friend for dead, but their attempts at killing her to please Slender Man were unsuccessful.

Payton Leutner crawled from the secluded area where she was violently stabbed, to an area where she could be discovered and given help. She dragged herself to safety while the blood drained from her body, coming within just minutes of death. Her survival was harrowing. Will she be given the justice she deserves?

Slender Man Stabbing Trial: Girls Will Be Tried As Adults is an article from: The Inquisitr News

The Dallas Cowboys strategy for re-signing DeMarco Murray was simple: let their record breaking running back test the dried up market and watch him crawl back to the Cowboys under their terms.

But a funny thing happened along the way. Frank Gore decided something didn’t feel right about heading to the Philadelphia Eagles and decided instead to sign with the Indianapolis Colts. Then Chip Kelly decided to go all in on Murray. And Dallas’ big plan to bring back their star running back quickly fell apart.

As reported by Adam Schefter via his Twitter account, the Frank Gore snub had an unintended ripple effect on the entire NFC East with Murray joining the Cowboys rivals.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones meanwhile, took to the Dallas Cowboys web site to wish DeMarco. He wrote that Dallas was “very grateful for his contributions,” yet clearly not grateful enough to have aggressively brought Murray back despite publicly stating his desire to return. Jones addressed these points as well, citing the salary cap as the only reason behind their decision.

“Obviously, there is emotion involved in these decisions, but it is critical that there be must be discipline involved as well. If it were a question of having an open checkbook with no salary cap constraints, we all know things would have worked out differently.”

He continued: “At the end of the day, this is about finding the best way to collectively fit all of the individual pieces together, in terms of talent, offensive players, defensive players and dollars–under the salary cap structure–that gives you the best chance to have a championship team.”

Meanwhile, Murray is walking into a now crowded back field in Philadelphia. As reported by Inquistr, Ryan Matthews had decided to sign with the Eagles before Murray was even in the equation. Matthews was supposed to take the place of the aforementioned Frank Gore as the top back for the team.

But apparently Chip Kelly had a plan. In fact, acquiring both Matthews and Murray was on their wish list according to ESPN. “We obviously lost a tremendous running back in LeSean,” Kelly said Thursday. “So how do you replace that productivity? What’s out there? Obviously, the three best guys, we thought, were Frank (Gore), DeMarco and Ryan. We wanted to target two of them. We ended up with two of them.”

The Venus flytrap is an amazing plant, creature, and curiosity that has fascinated and entertained men, women and children for years.

According to Botany.org, Venus flytraps are much like other plants in that they gather sustenance from the air and soil. But that’s where the similarities take a drastic turn, the Venus flytrap stepping their healthy diet up a notch over regular plants by being able to eat insects.

So why not stick your tongue into a Venus flytrap to see what happens? That’s what one chap thought would be a good idea, documenting his Jackass-like Venus flytrap stunt on video and posting it to YouTube for all to enjoy. The video, below, is titled, “It Turns Out Sticking Your Tongue Into A Venus Flytrap Is A Bad Idea.” The documented result that follows the Venus flytrap stunt shows why.

But could a Venus flytrap really inflict that kind of injury to one’s tongue?

Among the many entertaining YouTube comments regarding “It Turns Out Sticking Your Tongue Into A Venus Flytrap Is A Bad Idea” were some written by Venus flytrap owners, and others, who didn’t necessarily believe a Venus flytrap “bite” could cause such damage.

But there are plants that actually eat sheep, so why not a Venus flytrap that can hurt a guy’s tongue?

Also, others point out that the Venus flytrap secretions absolutely could cause such tongue damage, and a story about an alleged witch using the Venus flytrap to cause injury to her whole body lends some credence to this notion.

According to the Riviera Times Venus flytrap-witch story, which ends in a French courtroom in Cannes, the 58-year-old “wannabe witch” had it out for her former boyfriend and wanted it to appear as if he’d beaten her up. Apparently armed with some Venus flytrap knowledge, the bug-eating, tongue biting plant offered the witch a solution to get back at him.

Reportedly “dabbling with black magic,” the witch-lady rubbed different Venus flytrap plants all over her body and the results sound pretty convincing. Thanks to her Venus flytrap rub, the witch-lady’s body ended up covered with serious burns, and “numerous sores on her face, arms and stomach.”

The witch-lady told police that the Venus flytrap burns were the result of her ex-boyfriend beating her with an electric cable.

Four years later, however, in the Cannes courtroom, the witch-lady confessed that her injuries were in fact self-inflicted Venus flytrap wounds.

So could the apparent injury to this guy’s tongue be from the Venus flytrap bite? Sure sounds like it.

And speaking of sound, any act that makes a person yelp, scream or holler like the man in the video, is a bad idea.

But if anyone else has experience with sticking their tongue in a Venus flytrap, please do share.

Venus Flytrap: Man’s Tongue Pays Dearly For Jackass-Like Stunt is an article from: The Inquisitr News

Earlier this year, The Inquisitr reported on the student government of the University of California Irvine (UCI) voting to ban the American flag from campus. Despite the vote, the ban will not happen because the Executive Board of the Associated Students of Concordia University Irvine (ASCUI) vetoed it. Still, the possibility that any student government could vote in favor of banning the flag of this county did not sit well with Republicans, in which GOP representatives are taking action to punish any public institution of learning banning the American flag by removing their funding.

Currently, the debacle over the American flag ban at UCI is still ongoing. A meeting was supposed to happen to discuss the situation, but it had to be cancelled due to a threat of violence.

According to Yahoo, the student council of scheduled a meeting on a bill to ban national flags (not just the American flag) from the common area of student government offices on Tuesday. The view in mind for the meeting is that national flags bare a range of cultural significance that could be misinterpreted in a negative fashion. But as mentioned earlier, it was cancelled as a “viable threat of violence” was received among officials. It should be noted that the threat itself was not specific.

Howard Gillman, the UCI Chancellor, made a statement pertaining to the flag ban and their reasons to overturn it as a resolution.

“Regardless of your opinion on the display of the American flag, we must be united in protecting the people who make this university a premier institution of higher learning.”

Their resolution also states that national flags of any country, including the United States, had been “flown in instances of colonialism and imperialism.” They also “serve as symbols of patriotism or weapons of nationalism.” Finally, there was a statement that seems to regulate one of the freedoms guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution.

“Freedom of speech, in a space that aims to be as inclusive as possible, can be interpreted as hate speech.”

In a follow-up by FOX News, it reports that UCI campus police have increased their security. They are also asking students to report any suspicious activity that may or may not be associated to the situation. The flag ban argument at UCI is still ongoing and as of now, the veto remains in effect until further notice. The Inquisitr will report on the latest news on this situation when it becomes available.

University Of California American Flag Ban: Threat Prompts Cancellation Of Flag Ban Debate In Irvine Campus is an article from: The Inquisitr News

In a RHOBH preview, Brandi Glanville is seen breaking down into tears during a conversation with her co-star, Yolanda Foster. As the two attempt to enjoy a spa day, Glanville’s emotions get the best of her, and she vents to her friend about what she feels are double standards among the group.

“I’m sick of everyone,” Glanville tells Foster in the RHOBH preview.

“I’m sick of the lectures. I’m sick of the bulls–t that everyone can say and do whatever they want and take punches at me and say I drink too much… I can’t speak my mind freely, but you guys all can? It’s bulls–t.”

In the RHOBH preview, Glanville explains that while her other co-stars have done things they should have been reprimanded for, their actions have been excused.

“Lisa Rinna can throw a glass at Kim and nearly choke her across the table and no one mentions it the next day. It’s over, gone and done.”

Meanwhile, according to Glanville’s interview during the RHOBH preview, “everything” she does gets brought up time after time — and she doesn’t think it’s fair.

Throughout the RHOBH preview, Glanville is seen crying as Foster does her best attempt to console her.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Glanville seemingly excused her actions against Vanderpump, claiming she wouldn’t have slapped her if Vanderpump hadn’t encouraged her to do so.

In her Bravo blog, Glanville made the following statements:

“I took her suggestion and ran with it… MISTAKE! I apologized immediately and immensely and continued to for an hour and weeks after.”

“I NEVER would have thought of smacking Lisa had she not said it herself.”

Although she didn’t discuss it during the RHOBH preview, Glanville has expressed interest in leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after season five. During a blog for Australia’s NW Magazine, Glanville confirmed she was giving “serious” thought to quitting after deeming the show as “not fun anymore.”

Glanville has faced tons of backlash in regard to her actions on RHOBH season five, especially after she slapped Vanderpump. Although Glanville claims the slap was in good fun and not meant to hurt Vanderpump, it has seemed tacky to most, and turned off many.

On the show, Glanville is on the outs with nearly all of her co-stars, but, as was seen in the RHOBH preview, Foster remains supportive.

‘RHOBH’ Preview: Brandi Glanville Breaks Down During Spa Session is an article from: The Inquisitr News

Can a simple test that takes just a few seconds indicate whether someone is a good liar?

Richard Wiseman, professor at the University of Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom, says yes.

In order to see if someone is a good liar or not, the supposition claims, simply ask the person to use his or her dominant index finger in order to draw a capital Q on his or her own forehead. And, as they do so, pay close attention to which way their finger indicates the tail of the Q points in order to determine how good of a liar that person may be.

If the tail of the Q sweeps to the left, in such a way that the person facing him or her can read the Q correctly, the person drawing the Q is likely a good liar. If the tail of the Q instead sweeps the other way, so that it is read as backwards to anyone facing that person, the person who drew the Q is more likely to be a terrible liar.

And there is a reason behind this, Wiseman believes.

In a Q written so that it is facing correctly to those who are viewing it rather than the person who wrote it, that person has revealed himself to be an extrovert, meaning he or she is focused on others, as well as focused on how others perceive him. This extroverted focus means the person is likely adept at dishonesty — a good liar.

If liars can be good, that is.

If, however, the Q is written in such a way as to appear backwards to everyone but the person who wrote the Q, that person is likely to be more self-focused, and more likely to be a bad liar.

The process of determining whether or not someone is a bad liar or a good liar is explained further in the video below.

At the very least, it seems like a pretty cool party trick, but whether or not it can be used as a reliable method of gauging someone’s ability to lie is up for debate.

Frank Farley, professor of psychology at Temple University, doesn’t think the answer is as quick and simple as the direction of the tail on a Q.

“Lying is not easy to detect. Catching a liar by the techniques in the video is not precise.”

The results, however, Farley says, really are interesting, and similar tests have yielded similar results. For example, Adam Galinsky, who is now the Vikram S. Pandit Professor of Business at Columbia Business School, once used a similar technique to examine how people see themselves when they are feeling powerful or powerless. In doing the test, Galinsky and his colleage had half their subjects write essays about a time when they felt powerful, while the other half wrote essays about a time they felt powerless. And then, telling the participants their coordination was being tested, they were told to write an E on their forehead, using a marker with their dominant hands.

Those who wrote about feeling powerful more often wrote the E so that it would be seen as backwards by anyone facing them, indicating self-focus. In other words, those who wrote the essays stressing power were more focused on how they perceived the letter, not others. Those who wrote about feeling powerless were more likely to have the opposite results.

So detecting a liar with a letter on the forehead may not be such a far-fetched method — although it’s probably best to save that for the second date. And if someone’s Q does point towards being adept at being good at falsehoods, you may want to hold off on yelling, “Liar, liar, pants on fire!” Farley says that someone who is feeling self-focused one day may draw the Q one way, and, if feeling more extroverted the next day, may draw the Q the other way.

Farley says that even though the test doesn’t provide a fool-proof method of detecting a potential liar, looking for answers in a test like this “seems like the human thing to do.”

Fans of the Netflix original series Orange is the New Black are eagerly awaiting the return of the series this June but can get a little fix of their favorite OITNB inmates in a short video clip that emulates one of season 2’s quirkier moments.

Season 2 of OITNB found born again Christian and volatile meth head inmate Pennsatucky sporting new choppers and being ostracized by her fellow addicts. As Pennsatucky, the OITNB former leader of the meth heads, struggled to make her way as a loner, fellow rotten-toothed inmate Leanne tested her own leadership skills by trying to teach the other OITNB junkies a dance routine to Tre Coast song “Don’t Talk to Me.”

OITNB‘s new featurette helps fans re-live that moment as all of our favorite OITNB inmates including Piper, Alex, Crazy Eyes, and even Red take a turn showing off their rapping and singing abilities in the 53-second clip.

Notably absent from the clip of Litchfield Correctional Facility inmates is last season’s most scrupulous OITNB villain Yvonne “Vee” Parker. Fans felt a sense of justice after watching what appeared to be Vee’s demise at the end of season two, especially because OITNB‘s beloved Crazy Eyes was left broken hearted and weeping after realizing the depths of Vee’s manipulation.

In October, TMZ had gotten OITNB fans worked into a tizzy when they reported that there were sightings of actress Lorraine Toussaint, the actress who played Vee, on the OITNB set. Toussaint later went on record saying she would not return for Season 3 of OITNB.

The comedic “Don’t Talk to Me” clip is the first glance fans get of new OITNB cast member Ruby Rose. It is rumored her character Stella will attract the romantic interest of OITNB frontrunners Alex and Piper as they continue to go through the ebb and flows of their on/off again relationship.

It will be interesting to see if Stella becomes the new OITNB face of evil in the prison with the absence of Vee and former corrupt guard George “Pornstache” Mendez. Or perhaps the enemy of the OITNB inmates is someone that already dwells there. Season 2 of OITNB revealed good guys turning bad character arcs for both prison guard Sam Healy and newly appointed warden Joe Caputo.

Regardless of what’s in store for the Emmy and Golden Globe nominated OITNB, fans will undoubtedly be glued to Netflix and binge watching in June and spend July to May wishing for Season 4.

‘Orange Is The New Black’ Cast Have Some Fun With ‘Don’t Talk To Me’ [Video] is an article from: The Inquisitr News

During a UFC media gathering on Friday, former WWE wrestler CM Punk — who is expected to make his UFC debut at some point this year — suggested that if the UFC pairs his octagon debut with the return of former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar, the UFC would shatter all of its previous pay-per-view records.

It’s not surprising that Punk — who left WWE in January of last year — wants to see Brock Lesnar make his return to the UFC when Lesnar becomes a free agent at the end of this month. As of right now, Lesnar is the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and is set to defend that title at WrestleMania against new WWE golden boy Roman Reigns, a match that most people are expecting Lesnar to lose, especially if Lesnar doesn’t re-sign with WWE beforehand.

Brock Lesnar is the biggest pay-per-view draw in the history of the UFC, and if he returns to the octagon, his first opponent will likely be Frank Mir, who was Lesnar’s opponent in the biggest drawing main-event in UFC history.

No one is expecting CM Punk to do Brock Lesnar-like numbers on pay-per-view, but the UFC is expecting that CM Punk will be a major pay-per-view draw, which is why they signed him in the first place. It’s still unclear who CM Punk will face when he finally makes his UFC debut, but it’s expected that he’ll be fighting at 170 pounds, and that he’ll fight someone with the same amount of experience.

Punk says that Lesnar has given him good advice since he joined the UFC, and that he’ll often try to pick Lesnar’s brain whenever he gets the opportunity to speak with him.

There are some people who expect Lesnar to return to the UFC due to the fact that he’s approaching his late 30s, and if he has any desire to fight, now is the time to make his return. But as of right now, nobody knows what Lesnar is going to do when his WWE contract comes to an end. There are rumors that Lesnar wants to remain under WWE contract while having one or two fights in the UFC, and that WWE chairman Vince McMahon won’t allow it.

If Lesnar makes his return to the UFC, there’s a good chance that the UFC wouldn’t miss the opportunity to pair CM Punk’s debut with the return of Brock Lesnar, as it would likely do big business.

The World’s Ugliest Woman documentary features the life of 26-year-old Lizzie Velasquez in a film called A Brave Heart: Lizzie Velasquez Story. The woman is famous for her looks in a different way than her attractive counterparts are, but she has a powerful message that has reached millions. She’s an anti-bullying activist with a confidence so strong it can’t help but make her a beautiful person to many.

BBC reports that Velasquez suffers from two rare conditions — Marfan and lipodystrophy. The young woman can eat all she wants and won’t gain an ounce. She stands five-feet, two-inches tall and is only 60 pounds.

When this woman — dubbed the “World’s Ugliest Woman” — was in kindergarten, she remembers classmates avoiding her like the plague. In high school she saw a video of herself online titled “world’s ugliest woman” that was eight seconds long. She read every single comment of the thousands posted that were so mean, she cried for days and was unable to talk to anyone about it.

When viewers watch the “world’s ugliest woman” documentary, they’ll find out that Valesquez, who is from Texas, is blind in one eye and one foot has serious issues due to the lack of fat it has. When she was born at just two-pounds, 10-ounces, her parents were told they would most likely have to take care of her the rest of their lives.

Lizzie Velasquez is not a victim. She’s proactive in her objectives, which is to help others who suffer from bullying. Velasquez has a YouTube channel with over 309,000 followers.

This amazing woman’s documentary will be shown Saturday at the SXSW Film Fesitval in Austin, Texas. She talks about the importance of her message that she hopes this special will focus on. Lizzie talks about how to see her movie in the video clip posted above.

Velasquez has immense, solid support from her parents. She credits them for instilling the self-confidence she has.

One commenter on her latest YouTube video writes an encouraging message.

“… Just wanted to say you are an inspiration to all. Truly, to find forgiveness in your heart for the misery you have suffered at less understanding people’s hands, shows you to be exceptional. World’s Ugliest Woman Documentary: Film Explores Life Of Lizzie Velasquez, An Anti-Bullying Activist is an article from: The Inquisitr News

The state of Missouri is preparing to execute Cecil Clayton, a brain damaged man who has been on death row since the mid 1990s. The elderly inmate, who is now in his 70s, has a low IQ and suffers from mental illness — facts that have inspired media coverage as well as protest from those who are against the death penalty. Mother Jones reports that the convicted murderer is “psychotic and unable to function” yet the state of Missouri is in a rush to put him to death.

Cecil Clayton is in bad mental shape and it probably has a lot to do with the fact that he is missing part of his brain. A large portion of his frontal lobe was removed after a terrible accident over 40 years ago — long before he committed the murder he committed in 1996. Doctors had to remove up to 20% of his brain, leaving him brain damaged and with an IQ nearly 30 points below average. The Daily Mail has also pointed out that Clayton is Missouri’s oldest death row inmate at 74-years-old.

Close to 30 years after nearly 20% of the frontal lobe was removed from his brain, he committed the shooting death of Missouri police officer Christopher Castetter. It was a violent and impulsive crime that rocked the community of Barry County, Missouri. A family lost their loved one and a police force lost a partner. Clayton quickly became a convicted cop killer, and he was swiftly given the death penalty — irregardless of his severely low IQ and the circumstances surrounding why his IQ was so low. Along with his attorney, his daughter Jena has spoken out against the upcoming execution — which is slated to take place on St. Patrick’s Day.

“Talking with him is like talking to a child. I do not believe we are the kind of country that executes the disabled.”

The frontal lobes of the human brain are responsible for numerous functions associated with spontaneity, impulse control, judgment and sexual behavior. In other words, it’s the “moral” center of the brain that is vulnerable to injury or, really, any kind of tinkering that may take place (such as surgical removal). The Centre for Neuro Skills states that damage to the frontal lobes can manifest itself in either a depressive state or a psychopathic state. Cecil Clayton has been described as a “brain damaged psychopath” in more than one media report covering his case.

Do you think Missouri is right for choosing to execute Cecil Clayton? His attorney says that he is so mentally disabled that he questions whether or not the man even understands that he is going to die in just days. While he appears cognizant to the fact during conversations, he reportedly forgets shortly thereafter. This fact makes it hard to predict how he will react to his own execution when the day comes.

Brain damaged Cop Killer Cecil Clayton To Die In Three Days is an article from: The Inquisitr News

Horror flick It Follows opened yesterday on Friday the 13th (limited release), and so far, the reviews coming in from movie critics have been surprisingly positive. The horror genre isn’t typically a favorite of movie critics, but this time with It Follows, writer-director David Robert Mitchell seems to have delivered a solid effort.

In his review for It Follows, Peter Travers for Rolling Stone writes, “With the help of haunting wide-screen images from cinematographer Michael Gioulakis, the tension escalates so high we’re not sure what we’re seeing.”

The plot for It Follows might remind you of The Ring, but instead of a videotape passing along a curse, sexual encounters pass the curse on to the next person. In several of the film’s reviews, reviewers mention the freakishly chilling opening sequence. Mitchell goes for the vague kind of scares, where everyday places and objects become nightmarish. Rather than things jumping out at the audience, loud noises, and other similar scare tactics, It Follows uses creepy atmosphere.

According to Fandango, the synopsis for It Follows is the following.

“For 19-year-old Jay (Maika Monroe, THE GUEST), the fall should be about school, boys and weekends at the lake. Yet after a seemingly innocent sexual encounter she suddenly finds herself plagued by nightmarish visions.”

When the Huffington Post interviewed Mitchell, he was asked what his thoughts were on people viewing It Follows as an allegory for STDs.

“I wanted it to be something that could be shared between people and something that could come back to you. If we use sex to do that, it’s a way of connecting people–not just physically, but also emotionally–which sort of tied into some of the other themes in the movie. I had several themes in the back of my head when writing this. Any interpretation is valid. Especially for a horror film, I think that’s part of the fun of it.

Sex is also the thing that temporarily frees you. I think sex is simply representative of life itself. It’s literally simply the act of living–it is in contrast with our mortality, on some level. That’s one of the ways I like to look at it. So, again, I think it’s fair to look at it in terms of the STD comparison. I’m not putting that down, but I also think it’s maybe more complicated than that.”

It Follows is David Robert Mitchell’s second film. He made his debut four years ago with a teen romance called The Myth of the American Sleepover, a critically acclaimed film that didn’t quite make it out of the indie circuit. The idea for It Follows came about from a recurring nightmare he began having when he was a kid about monsters taking on other identities.

In an interview with Consequence of Sound, Mitchell talked more in-depth about the nightmare that began It Follows.

“I don’t know what caused it when I was young. I know it’s an anxiety dream. I could only guess, but… it’s a fairly common anxiety dream… What am I afraid of now? I don’t know, the normal things. I think on some level, pain and illness, and death of myself and people that I love, I think those are always things that are frightening. It’s very real. I think on some level that’s the root of most of these things. That’s just my guess.”

As of this posting, Rotten Tomatoes reports seventy-one percent of audiences liked It Follows and ninety-five percent of critics have rated it positively. It Follows might just be a horror movie with a fresh new take that could follow in the footsteps of horror classics such as John Carpenter’s Halloween.

‘It Follows’ Is The Scariest American Horror Film In Years, Started As a Nightmare [Video] is an article from: The Inquisitr News

Jimmy Lyons, a 32-year-old man from Brookhaven, Mississippi has been arrested after he opened fire at a five-member family he was living with, leaving two people dead. According to NBC News, Lyons shot and killed 31 year old Jermaine Sims, the owner of the home Jimmy was living in – as well as his nine-year-old daughter. Three other members of the family, including Jermaine’s 29-year-old wife and his two other children aged six and 14 were injured in the incident.

According to the report, after the shooting occurred, Jermaine’s injured wife, Victoria crossed a two-lane highway and knocked at a neighbor’s door calling for help. According to the neighbor identified as Donna Davis, the scene at her door was something straight out of a horror movie. According to Donna, Victoria was shouting for help and yelled “We’ve been hit” when she knocked at her door. Initially, Donna thought Victoria was hit by a car since there was a lot of blood over her.

Donna Davis called emergency services immediately after which paramedics reached her trailer home located just 100 yards across the street from where Jermaine lived with his family. Police officials too reached the spot and found Victoria Sims and her two children lying wounded. They soon entered Jermaine’s home where they found him dead along with his daughter. The police also found Jimmy Lyons inside the house. He was not injured and was soon taken into custody.

According to Brookhaven Police Captain Clint Earls, Victoria and her other two children have all survived the shooting but remain in critical condition. He added that the shooting happened after an argument broke out between Lyons and Jermaine.

“The only thing we are waiting on is getting some of the victims in well-enough health to where they can shed some light on what caused the incident to erupt,” Earls said.

Meanwhile, according to a report by The Clarion Ledger, Jimmy Lyons has not displayed any remorse at what he did. It cites Brookhaven police Chief Bobby Bell who said;

“Right now he’s acting like he did what he had to do. Basically we have a confession from him. We have evidence that we have collected from the crime scene to send to the crime lab, and we’re going to have to interview the survivors of this situation once they’re able to talk to us.”

A bored pilot decided to entertain himself by using the GPS flight data to draw a giant penis in the air that then came up on flightradar.

The unknown pilot set off from Kissimmee Airport in Florida, and made his way up to 1,800 feet before he then embarked on his phallic shaped journey.

The pilot carefully planned out his movements to create the shape, as he looked to make a penis and testicles that would be apparent on Flightradar 24 while he flew over Lakeland, Florida.

All that’s known about the plane and its assumably childish pilot is that the aircraft has the name of Vans RV-12 and registration number N829BM, while it’s also owned by the company B&M Aviation, which is based out of Orlando.

This isn’t the first time that the world has become enamoured with a uniquely placed penis-shape.

Back in April 2013, it emerged that two Nasa rovers accidentally created and drew a penis on the red planet.

It’s not known when the image was created, or if it was done intentionally, but when it was uploaded to NASA’s website it soon crashed because of all of the attention it was getting.

In fact it became so popular that a twitter account celebrating the Mars Rover Penis was created.

Meanwhile, as recently as March 2015 a Fijian island garnered attention because of its phallic shape. The 42-acre Mavuva Island, which is located two miles short of Fiji’s second largest island, was selling land for as cheap as $122,000.

It’s a ballad whose lyrics pontificate what it’s like to be a believer who trusts that Christ was more than just a good teacher or everyday prophet, and “What If” chronicles coming against critics who say the cross is foolishness. Prince, along with Nordeman, ask those same critics to think about what they’d do if they discovered they were wrong — and the What If song by Prince is gaining thousands of social networking shares, comments and likes across sites that have it loaded.

Nordeman’s song has long been praised in the Christian community for thoughtful lyrics that inspire listeners to consider another point of view, without beating naysayers over the head with the Bible. Now that Prince has been enjoying sold-out shows such as for his surprise concerts at the Louisville Palace, as reported by Forbes, the momentum is growing with this surprise release of “What If” online. It’s a move that left Prince fans scrambling for the limited number of tickets available for the shows this weekend, ones that left few tickets available for resale online.

In terms of his spirituality, however, Prince choosing to talk about God and Jesus is nothing new to his true fans. In Prince’s song “Holy River,” he waxed nostalgic about asking his then wife Mayte Garcia to marry him, and looked back on his life in decades before, comparing it as nothing to when he learned his true purpose.

Prince Covers ‘What If’ Christian Song, Surprises The Interwebs – Listen Here is an article from: The Inquisitr News

A Chicago man allegedly raped two women, stole their belongings, and then lectured them about “prostituting” themselves, CBS Chicago is reporting.

23-year-old Jonathan Ferguson allegedly used Backpage.com, a website often used by people seeking casual sexual encounters (and sometimes exchanging payment for it, much to the consternation of law enforcement), to arrange a sexual encounter with a Milwaukee woman who was in town for New Year’s Eve, according to State’s Attorney Akash Vyas.

The 22-year-old victim went with two of her friends to an address on Chicago’s south side. The friends stayed inside the car while the victim went inside.

Inside the home, Raw Story reports, Ferguson raped the victim at gunpoint. He then forced her to call her friends on her cell phone and have them come inside. He then raped another woman – a 23-year-old friend of the original victim – and ordered a 30-year-old friend of the victims into a closet.

After the rapes, Ferguson emptied the women’s purses and stole everything of value, including cell phones and $300 cash, then lectured the women about promiscuity and bragging that he’d killed at least two other people in the week leading up to the assaults. He then fled the scene with their belongings.

The women put their clothes back on and returned to their vehicle, and called 911 on a cell phone that head been left in the car.

Ferguson had managed to elude police until this week. He was captured and identified by the victims, then booked into the Cook County Jail and charged with armed robbery and aggravated criminal assault with a weapon. He’s currently being held on $250,000 bail.

Backpage.com is a bare-bones website that, not unlike Craigslist, allows users to connect with each other to buy, sell and trade, as well as post jobs, community posts, and similar content. Also like Craigslist, the site is used for people seeking sexual encounters, and according to Forbes, those sexual encounters often involve exchanges of cash. In February 2015, according to this Inquisitr report, a Florida police chief was arrested for hiring prostitutes through Backpage.com.

The site has even been sued for being used as a means of exploiting child sex trafficking victims, according to Tech Times.

Despite boasting of having committed murders prior to committing two rapes, Jonathan Ferguson is not, as of this post, known to be connected to any Chicago murders.

While McDonald’s struggles with earnings and hopes to win back clients who are making healthier choices for themselves by promising antibiotic-free chicken nuggets, healthier milk, and – if we’re lucky – some organic options, Amy’s Kitchen is about to take on the west coast with healthier versions of burgers, french fries, pizza, burritos and milk shakes.

Amy’s is one of the best recognized brands of organic and non-GMO foods. In fact, Amy’s has ranked fifth among all frozen food companies in a survey done by a Chicago firm, according to Eat Local Grown.

The food brand plans to open Amy’s drive-thru this spring in California, according to the Press Democrat. The location of Amy’s first drive-thru restaurant will be on Redwood Drive in Rohnert Park, only a block away from the very popular, ultra-classic In-N-Out Burger restaurant. Organic lovers and vegetarians are excited.

The only non-organic items that will be for sale at Amy’s new drive-thru will be the sodas, but even those will be completely preservative-free.

The price range will be competitive with other fast food drive-thru restaurants’ pricing. An organic veggie burger will cost around three bucks, and for less than ten, patrons will be able to get crispy, organic fries cooked in sunflower oil, a shake, and a double cheese burger. Not only will Amy’s food be organic, according to the Press Democrat, everything on the menu can be altered so that is it either vegan or gluten-free. Imagine a fast food drive-thru with dairy-free shakes and rice-flour hamburger buns. With so many children on special diets for ADHD, autism and food allergies, this news is making moms across the nation cross their fingers that maybe Amy’s will open a drive-thru in their city.

Andy Berliner explained that some of the healthier fast food restaurants that have popped up across the nation leave most Americans confused. Amy’s Drive Thru, he says, will make sure that when you arrive at the drive-thru window, “you’re not going to have any questions.” He also believes that the drive-thru experience will allow the company to reach many more customers than a casual, dine-in only, healthy choice. Moms on-the-go are expected in droves, because social media and surveys indicate that a rapidly growing number of mothers want organic, color-free, chemical-free, convenient food for their children.

Andy and Rachel Berliner, Amy’s founders, will be letting patrons get their first tastes of the “new classics” that will be offered at the drive-thru only a month before the company’s namesake, Amy Berliner, gets married. There is no set plan for opening up a chain of Amy’s Drive Thru restaurants, but the Berliners say that the blue prints are there, and as restaurant consultant Aaron Allen explained to the Press Democrat, “It’s a multibillion-dollar carrot dangling out there for someone to get.”
