A waitress gave a check for $43.50 to a customer. Little did she expect a $3,000 tip — almost seven thousand percent of the bill. Why? The customer who left the tip also left a note that he was paying it forward. The unnamed customer left some very specific instructions along with the incredible tip, according to the Miller Place-Rocky Point Patch. The customer wrote the following instructions for the waitress.

1. Go to reesspechtlife.com and learn!
2. Don’t let pay it forward end with you.
3. Since it is about the idea and not about you, or me, if you decide to share this, please don’t use either of our names!

Richard Specht, a middle school teacher at the Great Hollow Middle School in the Smithtown School District, opened an e-mail from the waitress, indicating that she had something incredible for him. When he queried what it was, the waitress sent a photo with the tip and the note. The note left by the customer explained why he left the tip, and stated the following according to Opposing Views.

“Thank you for your kindness and humility. My teacher in middle school had such a difficult experience a few years ago which has sparked me to do this….Thanks for always being around for all of my shows off and on broadway. I hope that one day someone gives as much love and happiness into the world as you do.”

Richard Specht and his wife Samantha had endured a tragic loss in 2012. Their 22-month-old son Richard Edwin-Ehmer Specht drowned in a pond in the family’s backyard just days before Hurricane Sandy. The boy was affectionately known as Rees and they started a foundation in his name, called ReesSpecht Life. The foundation was made to inspire people to pay kindness forward Rees’s memory, and has a website and a Facebook page which has gone viral with over 52,000 “likes” to further the mission.

Richard Specht knew which student was paying it forward and indicated that he wasn’t surprised at the former student’s generosity. But it was a very touching moment and gesture in his son’s name, and he stated the following according to the Miller Place-Rocky Point Patch. He noted that he loved when people pay it forward, even buying someone a cup of coffee. He always hoped that someone would leave a deserving waitress a large tip in his son’s name, but never thought it would occur.

“I couldn’t believe it. I started crying. There are pictures of my son everywhere and I was just looking at them saying ‘I can’t believe this is something that you helped to inspire.'”

It’s inspiring to see someone do a good deed just because it’s the right thing to do and will make someone else happy. Eleven-year-old Katelyn Payne has suffered from alopecia for years. She and her family try to be role models and inspire other people with alopecia to be themselves and to embrace the condition and turn it into something positive, according to an article in the Inquisitr.

Shonda Rhimes has finally weighed in on the Grey’s Anatomy shocker, saying she “never imagined saying goodbye to Patrick Dempsey.”

In Thursday’s episode, titled “How to Save a Life” and written by Rhimes herself, Derek witnesses a car accident and then becomes the hero when he manages to save the four passengers’ lives.

However, things quickly turn bad as he is hit by a tractor-trailer. Shepherd is taken to a hospital for treatment, but because the doctors refused to get a head CT, they did not realize the extent of his head injury and the neurological surgeon wasn’t able to make it in time to save his life. The police arrive at Meredith’s home in Seattle and tell her that there has been an accident. She goes to the hospital and the doctors tell her that Derek is brain dead and then give her the papers to terminate life support. Meredith then sits with Derek while the nurse turns off the machines.

Fans were instantly heartbroken and furious with Rhimes for killing off “McDreamy.” Many took to social media to lash out at the show’s creator. Now, according to LA Times, Shonda is finally weighing in on the decision to have Dempsey exit the show that he had been a part of for 11 long years.

“Derek Shepherd is and will always be an incredibly important character — for Meredith, for me and for the fans. I absolutely never imagined saying goodbye to our ‘McDreamy.’ Patrick Dempsey’s performance shaped Derek in a way that I know we both hope became a meaningful example — happy, sad, romantic, painful and always true — of what young women should demand from modern love. His loss will be felt by all. Now, Meredith and the entire ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ family are about to enter uncharted territory as we head into this new chapter of her life. The possibilities for what may come are endless. As Ellis Grey would say: the carousel never stops turning.”

Shortly after Shonda spoke about Patrick’s departure, ABC released a statement as well.

“After 11 seasons on ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ Patrick Dempsey is moving on to pursue other interests. Dr. Derek Shepherd is an iconic character and we’ve been proud to be the home of ‘McDreamy’ and the ‘Mer/Der’ love story. The devotion of Grey’s fans throughout the years has been a testament to the creative mind of Shonda Rhimes and Dempsey’s talent. ‘McDreamy’ will be greatly missed and we wish Patrick the very best in his future endeavors.”

The New York Yankees defeated the New York Mets Friday, led by two home runs by first basemen Mark Teixeira.

Teixeira smacked a two-run homer in the first inning of the Mets game Friday, giving controversial pitcher Michael Pineda all the run support necessary.

On April 10, 2014, Boston Red Sox broadcasters noticed a pine tar-like substance on the hands of Pineda in the early innings of the game. No actions were taken in this start for Pineda. In his next start against the Red Sox, Pineda had a similar substance on his neck, and he was ejected from the game in the second inning. He was suspended for the following 10 games for the incident.

“He’s matured, he took a tough situation last year and figured out how to pitch in the cold,” Yankees manager Joe Girardi said, referring to when Pineda was caught using pine tar at Boston to US News. “On a night like tonight it was extremely impressive.”

Pineda, now 3-0, allowed five hits and one run in his longest outing in his Yankees career, seven and two-thirds innings, who have now won seven of their last eight games.

“He’s dominant,” Yankees catcher Brian McCann said of the powerful right-hander.

Saying Mark Teixeira has had a rough start to the season is an understatement. Teixeira came into Friday’s game with a.196 batting average and a.323 on-base percentage. He came in with a respectable five home runs and 13 RBI’s. His two home runs Friday came off mid 90’s fastballs.

Teixeira now has seven home runs and 18 RBI’s.

Jacob deGrom gave up eight hits on Friday and a career high-tying six runs that more than tripled his ERA to 2.96.

“It’s disappointing because we were on a nice roll,” Mets manager Terry Collins said after the game to ABC News, “and I know the Yankees have been playing very well, but we’re surprised when Jake doesn’t have his good stuff and tonight he didn’t have it.”

This is the first Subway series meeting that has been fraught with tension for years. For the first time since 1997, both teams have a share of first place in their respected divisions in a Subway Series meeting. Even with the Rangers, Islanders, and Nets all playing in the playoffs, the Mets and Yankees had all the buzz in New York City.

The Yankees and Mets play on Saturday at 1:05 EST. Aces Matt Harvey and C.C. Sabathia are set to face off.

Live stream video coverage of the royal baby delivery announcement is available online for those who want up-to-the-minute information about Kate Middleton‘s impending arrival.

Video cameras are currently set up outside the Lindo Wing of Paddington’s St. Mary’s Hospital, with media patiently waiting for the news that the Duchess of Cambridge and her husband, Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, have arrived at the hospital to welcome their second child into the world.

The Telegraph has set up a video feed at the hospital that will go live when Kate Middleton is admitted to St. Mary’s hospital. Live coverage will begin with an announcement that the Duchess is in labor, and will continue until the new baby — a boy or a girl? — arrives.

After the birth of Kate and William’s first child, George, in July, 2013, the couple came out to meet the press after Mom and baby were released from the hospital. The Duke and Duchess were all smiles when they walked out the door of Lindo Wing, and proudly showed Prince George of Cambridge off to both the media and adoring fans who lined the streets near St. Mary’s hospital.

Well wishers and the media will likely be treated to a few moments with the couple and their new addition when the little one arrives — and that will be very soon.

No official due date has been revealed, but there are rumors that Kate is due right about now. Predictions as to when she will deliver, the sex of the baby, and the new royal baby’s name have been circulating online for months, but soon the guessing game will be over.

According to Mail Online, “thousands of wagers” have been placed on just about everything associated with the impending birth of the royal baby. The biggest bets have been placed on the expectation that Kate and William will welcome a little girl into the world, with many gambling on her name being Alice.

“We’ve had two bets of 500 pounds both on the name being Alice and this is massive, massive bets for us. The average bet on this type of market is about three to five pounds so a bet of this size is unheard of.”

Aside from the live stream media coverage of the royal baby news, once the Duchess has given birth, there will be an official announcement of the baby’s sex, weight, and time of birth on Twitter from @ClarenceHouse and @BritishMonarchy.

WWE Tough Enough is upcoming this June, and WWE has asks fans across the world to send out videos seeing if they could be the next WWE Superstar or WWE Diva. We’ve seen a lot of interesting videos and we very well could see more. Not only is the show going to switch up a bit and be potentially better than before, but WWE is also going more toward what they did in the past instead of picking Indy wrestlers or those under developmental deals to be part of the show itself.

However, many have wondered what will go down on this season. We know that Bill DeMott is not going to be part of the show this time around, for obvious reasons. We also are under the impression currently that “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is not going to host the show. We’ve heard that Chris Jericho might very well be the head coach of sorts however WWE is using an announcer type to actually “host” the show.

Now even more news is out regarding WWE Tough Enough regarding coaches.

According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review and Cageside Seats, certain former WWE Superstars could be joining the show. It is said that Edge, Christian, and Taz all could end up on the Tough Enough coaching staff. Edge most would imagine would be outside of the ring and would be helpful on promos and on psychology while Christian and Taz could get in the ring and become involved with the contestants.

Taz was part of the original WWE Tough Enough, and since WWE now needs a tough trainer to take the place of DeMott….the human suplex machine fits that mold well. Meanwhile WWE needs a guy who can get in the ring with everyone and work consistently, which is something Christian easily could do.

While this is only a rumor as of now, it is interesting to see all the men involved.

Taz just left TNA a week ago, so it would be quite interesting if he just showed up on a WWE program randomly. While very few would have an issue with it….it would be kind of strange to see. Meanwhile Edge and Christian being part of anything is always fun.

Edge being involved is possibly the most interesting of all. He cannot perform anymore due to his neck, so we know he wouldn’t jump in there and take bumps. So it will be interesting to see how he works in his role. However, fans will not have an issue seeing any or all three of these men join the WWE Tough Enough staff. Will WWE end up going in this direction? We will have to wait and find out.

Jill Duggar Dillard didn’t endure 70 hours of labor and two extra weeks of being pregnant only to have Jessa Duggar Seewald steal her thunder!

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald made their big baby announcement on Tuesday, April 22. This was a little over two weeks after Israel David Dillard was born. Shortly after Jessa and Ben shared the news that they were expecting their first child, Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard got busy posting a slew of new photos of their son Israel on the internet.

According to UPI, the 19 Kids and Counting couple shared numerous baby Israel snapshots on their Instagram pages.

In another photo, it looks like Derick is training Baby Izzy how to get a crowd all fired up. Apparently, he wants the infant to follow in his father’s footsteps by becoming Oklahoma State University’s Pistol Pete mascot.

Even though Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard’s onslaught of baby photos might seem like a stunt to steal the media spotlight back away from Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald, there’s no ugly sibling rivalry here. According to PEOPLE, 23-year-old Jill is already giving 22-year-old Jessa pregnancy advice, and Jessa has revealed that she looks up to her older sister because the student midwife “has all the knowledge and training.”

Jill Duggar also lived through a scary home birth experience, so she can give Jessa some advice about what to do if things start going wrong. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Jill wanted to give birth at home, but multiple complications forced her to undergo a C-section at the hospital. Even though Jill’s home birth was a frightening failure, Jessa isn’t giving up on her own plans to give birth at home.

“We think we want to go with a midwife and plan for a home birth, but I want to just be prepared that not everything may go as planned and try not to get too worried about it.”

Jessa has teased that she might be having twins or even triplets, so hopefully she’s fully ready for the possibility of something going wrong. According to the American Pregnancy Association, there’s a higher risk of complications in a multiples pregnancy.

Geoscientists have mapped out the giant seas of magma sitting below Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, and found the plumbing system is more complicated, and larger, than they thought. Still, there is still silver-lining for humanity.

Scientists have long known that Yellowstone is actually a giant volcano capable of covering the Earth in ash.

As study author Hsin-Hua Huang explained, “The main new thing is we unveil a deeper and bigger magma reservoir in the lower crust.”

The result was somewhat expected. The area released more carbon dioxide than could be explained by the more shallow chamber alone according to Discovery News.

Still, no one knew the true extent of the magma sea until now.

The volume of the second magma chamber is roughly 11,000 cubic miles (46,000 cubic kilometers), and lies just 12 to 28 miles below the surface. News sites are awash with different comparisons to illustrate the volume’s size. The Los Angeles Times reports it’s enough to fill 11.2 Grand Canyons, Discovery says it’s the same as 300 Lake Tahoes or Long Island plus nine miles of hot rock piled on top.

Essentially it’s a lot of magma.

The team of geoscientists mapped out the magma chambers by combining seismic data from USArray, a portable seismic network that’s been crossing the country, with local data that was used to map out the first reservoir.

Still, the discovery doesn’t mean the chances of an eruption are any higher.

The odds are roughly 1 in 700,000 for an eruption to occur in the next few thousand years. The last major eruption happened 640,000 years ago. That might give humanity some breathing room, but people are quickly learning new ways to rattle the ground, albeit unintentionally.

As previously reported by Inquisitr, drilling operations have caused minor earthquakes in several states. Researchers found out drilling companies have been activating ancient fault lines by injecting wastewater deep underground, which could have unforeseen consequences. Wyoming is outside the cited drilling areas.

What the newly discovered magma chamber means is that if one of those highly unlikely eruptions did occur, more magma could make its way to the surface in a shorter period.

According to Science, Yellowstone’s shallow magma chamber contains around 2,400 cubic miles (10,000 cubic kilometers) worth of molten rock. That’s roughly 10,000 times more than in the average volcanic eruption, enough to ensure that an eruption would have devastating consequences for the entire globe.

With the lower chamber of molten rock, the shallow chamber can be replenished in a shorter period according to study co-author Victor Tsai.

“Knowing that you have this additional reservoir tells you you could have a much bigger volume erupt over a relatively short timescale.”

So, will the scientists discovery help them predict when the big one will occur? Not exactly, according to co-author and geophysicist Jamie Farrell.

“We can use it for further modeling, and maybe that can help us estimate where this volcano is in its current state, but we’re really not there yet.”

Not exactly comforting for the Yellowstone tourists who now know there’s actual even more magma beneath their feet than anyone knew.

An Iranian convoy of supply ships on their way to Yemen have turned away after the U.S. deployed warships to intercept, CNN reported.

Senior U.S. officials say that the Iranian ships heading back to Iran is a good sign. Spokesperson for the Pentagon, Col. Steve Warren, said about the Iranian ships moving away from Yemen,

“I think it’s fair to say that this appears to be a de-escalation of some of the tensions that were being discussed earlier in the week,”

The American warships were deployed off the coast of Yemen to confront the Iranian supply ships, two of which were armed vessels, according to a U.S. official. The convoy was allegedly meant to supply Houthi rebels fighting in Yemen, NBC reported.

White House press secretary Josh Earnest said about the Iranian ships,

“We have seen evidence that the Iranians are supplying weapons and other armed support to the Houthis in Yemen. That support will only contribute to greater violence in that country. These are exactly the kind of destabilizing activities that we have in mind when we raise concerns about Iran’s destabilizing activities in the Middle East.”

The potential confrontation comes after the United States, along with multi-national support, brokered a deal with Iran over its nuclear program. The United States has also been indirectly working to end the conflict happening in Yemen.

The Foreign Minister of Yemen, Riyadh Yassin, accused Iran of attempting to break a naval blockade. Iran, though, denies arming the Houthi rebels. Iran says that they have presented a peace plan to the United Nations to end the fighting in Yemen.

Yemen is currently embroiled in a conflict with Houthi rebels that have put civilian lives at risk for nearly a month, as reported by The Inquisitr. So far, more than 1000 people have been killed since the fight began in late March, according to the United Nations. Of the 1000 people killed in the conflict, at leaf 115 of those were children. Another 172 children have been seriously wounded during the fighting.

Julien Harneis, the UNICEF representative in Yemen, said in a statement about the civilians being wounded and killed in the conflict,

“There are hundreds of thousands of children in Yemen who continue to live in the most dangerous circumstances, many waking up scared in the middle of the night to the sounds of bombing and gunfire,”

Saudi Arabia had been leading a multi-national bombing campaign. The bombing campaign has been supported by the United States.

If the claim from the U.S. that Iran has been arming Houthi rebels in Yemen, it would be in violation of multiple United Nation Security Council resolutions.

Live streaming video of a 7.9 magnitude earthquake that struck in Nepal shows buildings destroyed and hundreds of people trapped in rubble after one of the most powerful quakes the region has ever seen.

A giant earthquake has struck in Nepal near the border with India, leaving multiple deaths and destroying many historic buildings in the capital of Kathmandu (links to live streaming video coverage of the quake available below).

The quake struck on Saturday and had a magnitude of 7.9. It was followed by at least eight aftershocks of 4.5 or greater, leaving a scene of chaos throughout Nepal and India.

“It’s quite chaotic,” said CNN’s Manesh Shrestha, who was also injured in the earthquake. “People are wailing, crying.”

Climbers on Mt. Everest even reported avalanches.

“Everest base camp huge earthquake then huge avalanche from pumori,” Twitter user Alex Gavan said. “Running for life from my tent. Unhurt. Many many people up the mountain.”

Geologists warned that there could still be more dangerous aftershocks following the Nepal earthquake.

As CNN reported, the Nepal earthquake was particularly long and powerful:

The quake, which struck at 11:41 local time (05:51 GMT). occurred at a depth of 9.3 miles, which is considered shallow and potentially more damaging than a quake emanating from deeper under the earth’s crust. But it was reported by people who felt it as seeming to last a very long time.

A journalist in Kathmandu told CNN that a historic building called Dharahara — also known as Bhimsen Tower — had collapsed in the earthquake. The Times of India reported that at least 50 people were trapped in the tower, which is a popular tourist destination.

Virtual sightseers were treated to quite the spectacle yesterday when an image of the Android robot mascot appeared in Google Maps urinating on the Apple logo. A report from The Telegraph says that the image appeared on a small patch of land just outside the city of Rawalpindi in Pakistani at coordinates 33°30’52.5″N 73°03’33.2″E.

However, don’t go looking for it now as the peeing Android effigy has already been removed.

We’ve terminated the Android figure involved in this incident, and he’ll be disappearing from Google Maps shortly.

It’s unclear where the Google Maps image came from, but rumours speculate that Google themselves may have hidden it there as an Easter egg and has only just been discovered. Others believe it was added in by a user.

While Google monitors any contributions made to Maps, it is entirely possible for some errors (or in this case, jokes) to slip through the net. Google Map Maker allows people to add additional features to Maps, such as streets, parks and places of interest, all of which is moderated heavily.

But that’s not all. According to The Guardian, a second image was also spotted just a few miles east of the Android vs. Apple one. The second picture showed an area of the land with the words, ‘Google review policy is crap,’ written in large font with a sad smiley face drawn to one side. Again, Google have already removed the image.

While the origins of both images remain ambiguous, it does point towards the on-going rivalry between Google and Apple. The Easter egg of the Android robot peeing on the Apple logo is most likely the result of continuing competition between the two companies (Google being the owner of Android).

The image itself is reminiscent of an earlier drawing depicting Calvin of Calvin & Hobbes fame urinating on an assortment of disliked brands and names.

Google Maps was also in the news earlier this month regarding a new kind of exploration tool that will allow people to explore the human body, right down to individual cells. The technology is being developed by engineers from the University of New South Wales in Australia.

For the first time we have the ability to go from the whole body down to how the cells are getting their nutrition and how this is all connected. This could open the door to as yet unknown new therapies and preventions.

In a new preview clip of Sunday night’s episode, “The Deconstruction,” Alicia gives a speech to a packed room of reporters, her husband Peter at her side, saying she has decided to withdraw her name from the race for State’s Attorney.

After speaking to the crowd, Peter grasps Alicia’s hand and they exit the room. In a near-empty hallway she stops and has a desperate question for her husband.

This season will see the exit of Archie Panjabi from the program. It’s as yet unclear how Kalinda Sharma will be written out of the series; her recent dealings with Lemond Bishop and the serious implications of her illegal actions to get Cary out of prison seem poised to affect her before season’s end.

In an interview last week for TV Line, show runners Michelle and Robert King discussed Kalinda’s unique circumstances this season and how she might — or might not — escape them. Robert noted Sharma’s problems have become particularly complex.

“Kalinda is in deeper water than she’s ever been before. The real question is whether she brings herself back from the exhaustion you correctly pinpointed, and that, I think, is true. Archie is always the most fun as an actress when she does that — when you see that spark in her eye, like, ‘OK, now I know what I need to do.'”

Both TV Line and CarterMatt noted that Alicia and Kalinda’s friendship has been neglected over the past couple of seasons, following the revelation that Kalinda and Peter had been intimately involved. In another preview clip for Sunday’s episode, Kalinda shows up unannounced at Alicia’s apartment, and the cool investigator becomes emotional as she looks at family photos that include Alicia.

The preview clip will leave fans wondering what possessed Kalinda to stop over at Alicia’s, and what kind of conversation the two women might have.

The Kings also declined to comment on whether Matthew Goode, who plays Alicia’s lawyer friend and almost-love interest Finn, will return next season. The pair implied that the contracts are not final yet for the new year.

“Can we leave that a little open at the moment? We’re lining up casting for next year, and not all the Ts are crossed and the Is are dotted yet.”

The Good Wife airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. on CBS and the season finale is set for May 10.

The sense of smell can evoke all kinds of emotions and memories of the past. Now one French woman has come up with the idea of encapsulating the familiar scent of the departed loved one in a bottle of perfume.

Katia Apalategui, 52, is a French insurance saleswoman who is still mourning the death of her beloved father seven years ago. She was inspired to attempt to capture the scent of the departed in a perfume.

Apalategui teamed up with some researchers from the Université du Havre, who it seems have already been working on distilling the human scent.

Researchers gave no clue as to how the technique actually works, but one did say that all they needed for the process was a piece of the person’s clothing. From this they are able to extract the approximately one hundred distinct molecules that make up the person’s characteristic scent.

Geraldine Savary from the university explained the procedure.

“We take the person’s clothing and extract the odor – which represents about a hundred molecules – and we reconstruct it in the form of a perfume in four days.”

Popular Science theorizes that they may be using a version of the classic perfume distillation process, by passing steam through an object at a high temperatures in order to capture the scent of the departed.

Apalategui’s idea may sound a little morbid to some, but according to several studies just like music brings back the past, our sense of smell is also closely linked to memory. So why not use the process to immortalize our loved ones through the scent of the departed.

The process would naturally be of use in other applications too, for example romantic relationships – being able to smell your loved one when they are away, for example, or as an aid in the parent and child bonding experience when separated.

However, for now, Apalategui and the researchers are working on capturing the memories and scent of the departed, rather than the living, and she hopes by September this year to be able to offer the service to grieving families via funeral homes.

According to the Guardian, Apalategui claims that the link between smell and memory would mean that this new product would offer “olfactory comfort“, which would be on a par with photos and other memories of the deceased loved one.

Her son is currently attending business school and will be involved in the project. With the help of a chemist, they plan to launch their unusual business by September this year. Apalategui explained how they are planning to proceed.

“We are going through funeral homes to offer families a small box containing a vial of the departed’s odor that we would have extracted from a piece of material provided by them.”

“It’s made-to-measure and will sell for around 560 euros ($600).”

Capturing the scent of the departed is an unusual but thought-provoking way of remembering those who have left us and one that could quite easily catch on.

In other, rather less pleasant, family relationships, the Inquisitr recently reported the story of a woman who is allergic to her husband’s kisses.

Pakistan hopes to recover while Bangladesh looks to keep dominating as the current cricket series between the two rival nations continues this week with the first of two Test matches that will close out the Pakistan tour.

So far the Pakistan tour, which was finalized in early April just a couple of weeks ahead of the first One Day International match on April 17, has been an unqualified disaster for the tourists, while for the hosts each of the four games played so far has proven more historic than the one before.

After losing 46 of the 47 matches in all formats of cricket played between the two countries, Bangladesh has humiliated their visitors from Pakistan — the country from which Bangladesh broke in a bloody war of independence 44 years ago — by sweeping the three-match ODI series that opened the tour, then cruising to a one-sided victory in the lone T20 match.

But can Bangladesh continue their dominance now that the tour has moved into the Test match phase, the most arduous and difficult and traditional format of the sport?

Two factors would seem to favor the Bangladesh side. First, the psychological damage inflicted in the Pakistan players from losing four matches to a side they’ve always considered inferior.

“This was a simple case of having a ‘no respect’ clause for Bangladesh cricket as the Pakistan Cricket Board may have considered this series to be a walk-in-the-park,” wrote commentator Yousef Rahman in the Dhaka Tribue newspaper.

“After all, Pakistan had not lost an ODI against Bangladesh since 1999. That loss in Bangladesh’s inaugural World Cup campaign was taken by most Pakistanis as a game that was intentionally thrown to strengthen Bangladesh’s claim for full membership.”

And the second factor — injuries. Before the tour even began, Pakistan lost Sohail Khan, Ehsan Adil, Yasir Shah and Sohaib Maqsood to the injury bug. Now fast bowler Rahat Ali has gone down as well, a hamstring injury sending him home and out of bot just the first test, but the second and final test match of the tour as well.

On the Bangladesh side, however, there is also a degree of uncertainty, as the Tigers announced Friday that they’ve called up three players who have never played an international test match before, much less a high pressure one against an arch-rival.

Soumya Sharkar — who tallied 164 runs in the three ODI matches — will make his test debut, as will Litton Das, the leading batter in the Bangladesh domestic league. Fast bowler Mohammed Shahid is also called up to the 14-man test roster, mainly for his ability to bowl lengthy spells — obviously an important ability in five-day Test matches.

Bangladesh will again look to make cricket history by beating Pakistan in a test match for the first time, when the First Test starts at 10 am Tuesday, Bangladesh Standard Time, at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium, Khulna. The two countries have played just eight previous Test matches, all of them won outright by Pakistan.

Chrissy Teigen was one of the most gorgeous stars at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, and you’d think that no one would turn down a chance to snap a selfie with the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model. However, PEOPLE reports that the police on duty wouldn’t let Chrissy pose with their canine companion. She reportedly pestered the cops for a while, but she just couldn’t win them over with her mega-watt smile.

“It’s for everyone’s good,” one officer told her.

Even though she didn’t get to pose with the police dog, Chrissy Teigen didn’t need a cute furry companion to take a good photo — she looked amazing in all of her pictures from the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. This is important to point out because Teigen used to be so insecure about the way she looked in photos that she used apps to digitally alter her social media images.

However, as the Inquisitr previously reported, the supermodel recently opted against using an app to airbrush her stretch marks away, and now she’s vowed to completely stop with the Photoshop. According to E! News, she made her pledge to be filter-free during an interview with Meredith Vieira.

“I have those apps, the Facetune and Photoshopping ones, and I just didn’t feel like doing it anymore—and I’m never doing it again, because I think we forgot what normal people look like now.”

She also revealed that many other famous models tweak their #IWokeUpLikeThis social media pics.

“It started with Botox and everything, of course, but now it’s just grown into this Photoshop phenomenon and I’ve seen these women in person, they are not like that. Please know that. I’ve shot in barely anything [i.e. half-naked] with them and it’s just amazing what people do to tweak themselves.”

In the video below, Chrissy Teigen talks about that awkward moment she tried to be too real with Barack and Michelle Obama — she pretty much punched the Prez. Fans of her funny stories can only hope that she did something to humiliate herself in front of the President and the First Lady at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

“We have got a few plans for them. But we have to go out there and be aggressive,” said Daredevils Sri Lankan star Angelo Mathews. “You can’t really contain because you have seen in the past, most teams have dominated in the last six or seven overs if they still have wickets in hand. So, you need to try and take wickets early on and look to take wickets all the time.”

In other words, look for Sunday’s Bangalore vs. Delhi match to unfold as a low scoring, bowling dominated affair.

Dancing with the Stars will be broadcast on two nights this week, but there will only be one elimination. The previously announced double elimination for Week 7 has been cancelled, with only one couple going home on April 27, followed by the 10th Anniversary special on April 28.

ABC originally announced that the anniversary celebration would be broadcast on May 14, and the Tuesday results show would start on April 28. The change in schedule is good news for at least one of the remaining seven couples — instead of two couples leaving, only one will depart on Monday night. Buddy TV reports that the live results show will shift to Tuesdays starting next week (May 5), unless ABC makes yet another change.

Here’s what to expect this week during the Week 7 competition on Monday night, along with some information about Tuesday’s anniversary special.

According to ABC’s press release, Monday night’s theme on Dancing with the Stars is “Eras Night.” All seven couples will perform dance routines to songs from different eras. Scoring will be a bit different this week, with the couple who earns the highest score earning immunity from elimination. A dance off for the six couples who didn’t get immunity will give them a chance to earn extra points to add to their scores on April 27.

John Kubicek from Buddy TV predicts that Robert and Kym will go home on Monday night due to two weeks of low scores, but their fans’ votes may save them.

On Tuesday night, the one hour Dancing with the Stars: 10thAnniversary Special will air at 8 p.m. ET. WetPaint reports that the show will feature the Season 20 pro dancers performing with celebrity alums and returning pros. Cecily Strong hosted the White House Correspondent’s Dinner for the first time. By all accounts, it went pretty well.

According to Vanity Fair, Strong kept the audience of politicians, stars and news correspondents entertained as the main speaker following President Barack Obama. This was Strong’s first time hosting the dinner, sponsored by the White House Correspondent’s Association, founded in 1914. The annual Dinner began in 1920, and was exclusive only to men until 1962 when, at the behest of Helen Thomas, President John F. Kennedy said he would not attend the Dinner unless the ban was lifted, which it was.

Strong began her hosting with, “Feels right to have a woman follow President Obama, doesn’t it?” Strong said as she began her speech.

“I took Amtrak here. It was way more luxurious than I thought. Did you know they have massage seats on there? All you have to do is sit in front of Joe Biden,” Strong joked. “Those hands don’t get tired.”

“It feels so weird to be up here,” Strong said. “Since I’m only a comedian, I’m not going to try and tell you comedians how to do politics. That would be like you guys telling me what to do with my body. I mean, can you even imagine? Crazy.”

According to CNN, Strong then ran into a bit of controversy.

“It’s an honor to be here at the Washington Hilton… is something a prostitute might say to a congressman,” Strong said, and the capacity crowd grew eerily silent. “I bet when the president walked in tonight and saw the bell hops, he probably thought, ‘Finally, some decent security.'”

Once the crowd got its breath back, Strong went back to less controversial, but still funny material. Strong next targeted the President himself. Strong commented that though Obama’s approval rating was 48 percent, his gray had taken over 85 percent of his head. “Your hair is so white now it can talk back to the police.”

Strong then made comments about a few networks. Of C-SPAN, she said, “To some viewers watching at home on C-SPAN, ‘Hello.’ But to most viewers watching at home on C-SPAN, ‘Meow.” Of CNN, Strong said, “Whenever a big news story breaks, I can turn to CNN and watch Anthony Bourdain eat a cricket.” And of Fox News, Strong said, “Fox News has been losing a lot of viewers lately, and may they rest in peace.”

Strong ended her part of the speech with a story about her and Obama both being from Chicago. “I’d lace up a pair of Jordans, he’d slip on a pair of my mom’s jeans and we would just miss three-pointers until sundown, when, of course, we’d have to stop and pray to Mecca.”

Robert Herjavec and Kym Johnson had a busy couple of days heading into week 7 of Dancing With the Stars. On Friday Robert and Kym attended the Race to Erase MS event in Los Angeles. Herjavec tweeted out his support for the cause and his congratulations to honoree Tommy Hilfiger. He included a photo of himself with his professional dancing partner.

While the image might imply Robert and Kym have finally decided to make it official and reveal their much-rumored romance, it turns out they were not the only Dancing With the Stars couple that made it to the MS gala. The Daily Mail spotted a stunning Rumer Willis and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy and a number of other celebrities at the same event.

Herjavec was apparently fine with jokes about his love life, as he retweeted a fan’s tweet about his budding relationship with fellow DWTS contestant Noah Galloway. Robert spoke highly about Galloway in his most recent blog for Entertainment Weekly.

Earlier this week Robert revealed he and Kym are working hard on their 80s-themed performance for Monday night. They will dance the Argentine Tango. Johnson has the bruises to prove they are putting all their energy into their moves.

Buddy TV also had some good news for couples like Robert and Kym who are relying on fan votes to keep them in the competition. There will no longer be a double elimination next week. Only one couple will go home. In addition, the anniversary special due to air later in the season will be on Tuesday. Tuesday night results shows are still on the agenda, but they will debut at least after next week.

The couple with the highest score Monday night will be immune from elimination. The remaining couples will put in some extra steps to try to get extra points.

As for Robert and Kym’s fate, Buddy TV predicts they may go home Monday after two weeks of low judges’ scores. Last week they survived the tense moments as the results were announced and Patti LaBelle exited the program.

Dan Fredinburg was an avid mountain climber who had actually survived an avalanche while climbing Mount Everest last year, but the Google executive wasn’t so lucky this time when a massive earthquake hit Nepal during his trek up the famous peak.

Fredinburg was the first American confirmed dead in the quake that killed close to 2,000 people, including at least 10 who were climbing Everest. The earthquake set off a series of avalanches on the mountain, including the one that took Fredinburg’s life.

Dan Fredinburg worked as head of privacy for GoogleX, but he was perhaps better known for dating actress Sophia Bush. The pair split last year, but remained close.

When Bush learned the news of Fredinburg’s death on Saturday, she took to Instagram to post a picture and a not remembering Dan.

She wrote:

Dan Fredinburg was one-of-a-kind. Fearless. Funny. A dancing robot who liked to ride dinosaurs and chase the sun and envision a better future for the world. His brain knew how to build it. His heart was constantly evolving to push himself to make it so. He was one of my favorite human beings on Earth. He was one of the great loves of my life. He was one of my truest friends. He was an incredible brother, a brilliant engineer, and a damn good man. I’m devastated and simultaneously so deeply grateful to have known and loved him, and to have counted him as one of my tribe. I was so looking forward to our planned download of “all the things” when he got home. I am crushed that I will never hear that story. I am crushed knowing that there are over 1,000 people in Nepal suffering this exact feeling, knowing that they too will never hear another tale about an adventure lived from someone that they love. Disasters like this are often unquantifiable, the enormity is too much to understand.

Fredinburg’s death was announced both by his climbing outfit, Jagged Edge, and his sister Megan. The noted that Dan suffered a major head injury during the avalanche and did not survive.

Dan Fredinburg also climbed Mount Everest in August 2014, when an avalanche struck that killed 16 sherpas.

At the time, Bush tweeted, “For all concerned, @danfredinburg & team are safe at Camp 1 on #Everest after the avalanche. Please keep the Sherpa’s in your prayers”

This climb on Mount Everest was part of a project called Google View, and Dan Fredinburg was with three other Google employees when the avalanche hit. Google’s director of privacy, Lawrence You, issued a statement on Saturday mourning Fredinburg’s death and announcing that the company was committing $1 million to the earthquake response.

24-hours after the devastating Nepal Earthquake that left thousands dead, we now have reports coming in of a major aftershock in the area. According to NBC News, the aftershock which hit the same area as the previous earthquake measured 6.7 on the richter scale – which is destructive enough on its own. The new aftershocks has also triggered fresh avalanches on Mt. Everest, reports CNN. It is unclear if more deaths and injuries have happened following the fresh aftershocks that followed the Nepal earthquake. People from neighboring India too reported feeling the effects of the strong aftershock.

According to eyewitnesses, the aftershock led to panic in the capital city of Kathmandu which was the most affected by yesterday’s earthquake. Scores of people, already traumatized by yesterday’s earthquake ran out into the open streets when the earth shook again. The United States Geological Survey has confirmed that the aftershock was quite significant in impact. The night after the Nepal earthquake, people chose to sleep in the open bearing frigid climate fearing aftershocks.

Meanwhile, the death toll from yesterday’s earthquake is climbing up fast. As of now, the death toll stands at over 2,000 people. The capital city of Kathmandu alone has seen 721 confirmed deaths. There have been casualties in neighboring India as well with 60 people individuals reportedly killed there. Humanitarian efforts are on to help the people affected by the earthquake.However, the initial priority is to rescue several people believed to be still trapped under the debris.

The rescue efforts is being is being led by India which started off the campaign by landing an aircraft in Nepal with 43 tons of relief material. They have also flown in 200 rescue experts to help the people trapped.

On Mount Everest, rescue helicopters were used to airlift people trapped in several base camps which are now no longer accessible following the avalanches that followed the Nepal earthquake. A total of 17 bodies have been recovered from the world’s highest mountain.

Several other countries and non-governmental organisations are lining up to help the Nepali people. The U.S. has pledged a sum of $1 million in aid. China is sending a team of 62 people to help the efforts while Pakistan is sending a team of doctors.
