The new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens is exciting fans for many reasons. First, there’s that bit of narration by Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and, of course, Luke wouldn’t be complete without R2D2 beside him. There’s also Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) presumably returning to the Millenium Falcon. There’s also all of that action so reminiscent of past installments of the Star Wars franchise that one would hardly notice the behind-the-scenes changes that have taken place, since Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005) first hit theaters.

All of that is very exciting, but nothing has captured the imaginations of fans as much as the possibility that Darth Vader might yet be alive.

What??

Yes, fans are suspecting and even hoping that J.J. Abrams has reanimated everyone’s favorite dark lord, Darth Vader, in the new Star Wars installment. Entertainment Weekly has even proposed that Darth Vader might have been resurrected through cloning, which every Star Wars fan knows is a common practice in the Star Wars universe. The question remains could Darth Vader be returned without resurrecting Anakin Skywalker? (Let’s face it: As much as fans love Darth Vader, that’s how much Anakin was loathed.)

Making the possibility of Darth Vader returning in Star Wars: The Force Awakens even more likely is the fact that Mr. Abrams has been very cagey about revealing details about the Empire’s powerful new leaders. Star Wars teasers and trailers have revealed stormtroopers, TIE Fighters, and even a possible Sith, but no one has been seen to be giving orders. Not so much as a voice over…except for the heavy breathing so uniquely Darth Vader.

It has been pointed out that the return of Darth Vader would devalue the story of the first six episodes, since Darth Vader’s corruption, rise to power, and eventual remorse and redemption are at the core of the first Star Wars films. J.J. Abrams has a history of changing the rules in reboots and sequels and he has a proven history of alienating faithful franchise fans. Remember Star Trek‘s Khan and the destruction of planet Vulcan? Star Trek fans do.

Another factor hinting at the return of Darth Vader is Luke’s use of the present tense, when he says “…my father has it…,” indicating that there’s more to this possibility than it would at first seem. After all, the audience of Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977) thought they had seen the last of Obi Wan Kenobi, yet Alec Guinness returned in two sequels.

Whatever the actual plot of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, it does seem that we may again see Darth Vader in action one more time.

The SS City of Cairo came to rest on the bottom of the South Atlantic Ocean in 1942. Although the ship was carrying an estimated 2,000 chests filled with silver coins, the specific location of the wreckage remained a mystery. Nearly 75 years later, Deep Ocean Search announced that they have found the ship and recovered a significant portion of the coins.

Although SS City of Cairo was a passenger steamship, she was requisitioned to transport supplies to the United Kingdom during WWII. On October 1, 1942, the SS City of Cairo left Bombay, India, with 302 passengers and crew and an estimated 7,000 tons of cargo.

On November 6, the SS City of Cairo was struck by a torpedo — which was fired by a German submarine. Captain William A. Rogerson immediately ordered all passengers to abandon ship. Although a distress call was made, and acknowledged by the submarine’s commander, a second torpedo was fired 20 minutes later.

As reported by the SS City of Cairo website, the ship was heavily damaged in the attack. However, a vast majority of the passengers and crew made it off the ship and into the lifeboats.

With the exception of the German submarine commander, who was unwilling to help, nobody received Captain Rogerson’s distress call. As a result, the lifeboats drifted in the Atlantic Ocean for nearly two weeks.

Although three lifeboats were eventually spotted by a passing ship, and a fourth washed up on the shore of Spain, the others were never found. A total of 101 people lost their lives as a result of the SS City of Cairo tragedy.

Nearly 75 years later, Deep Ocean Search located the SS City of Cairo wreckage nearly 17,000 feet below the ocean’s surface. Although they experienced “serious technical difficulties,” the salvage company managed to recover “several tens of tons of silver coins.” The team also found and recovered “the end section of the second torpedo.”

DOS also managed to break a world record. Although salvage work is performed in depths up to 13,000 feet, the SS City of Cairo wreckage was buried in the mud inside a deep canyon.

As reported by Reuters, the silver coins are estimated to be worth $50 million. Although a majority of the coins were returned to Britain’s Treasury, DOS was permitted to keep a percentage according to international marine salvage law.

DOS revealed that the SS City of Cairo was located in 2011, and the coins were recovered in 2013. However, they waited two years to make the announcement.

Memphitz is still in disbelief as the court ruled in favor of his ex-girlfriend K. Michelle, Mona Scott-Young, and Viacom.

Back in September 5, 2012, the former Jive Records executive filed a $65 million defamation suit against his ex-lover and the people behind the show Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. According to Memphitz, K. Michelle and the network wrongly accused him of domestic violence and embezzlement. For this, he demanded $50 million for punitive damages and another $15 million for compensatory damages.

Unfortunately, Memphitz will not be seeing a single cent of the $65 million that he sued for. Just yesterday, news broke out that the defamation suit has been dismissed based on the grounds that the former executive cannot prove that the allegations raised against him were false.

Although online sources point out that Memphitz admitted to some claims against him, his social media accounts revealed that he never copped to any of them. He tried defending himself on his Instagram posts although he eventually deleted some of them. Despite scrubbing his Instagram account clean, some online sources were able to get a hold of his deleted rants.

In one of his posts, Memphitz vented.

“For the record, I never admitted to anything regarding this case because I didn’t do one thing I was accused of. I called the police, I filed the four-year lawsuit. Never met the judge. But I guess I look the part right? We a sad people. When it’s your son, brother, nephew or father being lied on, take it like a man. You seem to be cool with it. See ya when it’s your turn. Not looking for your approval or pity. Just letting to whom it may concern know that… I know how you won and Instagram comments ain’t gon save none of ya. See ya around.”

In the last statement of his post, Memphitz hinted that something fishy went on that is why his ex and the network won the case. He also elicited some angry reactions when he posted some statements on social media blaming black women for the destruction of black men.

On Twitter, he tried to clarify himself by saying that only certain black women are to be blamed. He wrote, “Lol. Not all black women. Just the ones that are evil. Gimme kisses.” Clearly, Memphitz was referring to his ex-lover Michelle.

Marion “Suge” Knight, former hip hop mogul, will be standing trial for murder and attempted murder charges.

Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Ronald Coen said Thursday that there was enough evidence to move forward with a trial against Knight, according to The Los Angeles Times. Knight will be standing accused of hitting two people in a restaurant parking lot in Compton earlier in 2015.

Knight was later taken to a hospital, though his condition and the cause of his hospitalization are not yet known, Yahoo News reported. Knight’s latest hospitalization marks the fifth time he was taken from court proceedings for emergency health reasons. Knight was last hospitalized upon hearing that his bail was set at $25 million, as reported by The Inquisitr.

Coen had rejected Knight’s claim that he had acted in self-defense. Knight says that he was attempting to flee when he hit the two men.

Police argue that when Knight hit both men, killing Terry Carter and injuring Cle “Bone” Sloan, that he had done so intentionally.

Matt Fletcher, Knight’s attorney, claims though that Knight was being attacked. In his attempt to flee the attack, Knight hit both men with his truck, Fletcher claims. The attack was captured on security footage.

Fletcher argued in court,

“There’s no intent to kill… There’s an intent to survive.”

Judge Coen, on the other hand, says that the security footage showed Knight intentionally trying to kill when he accelerated toward the two men. Coen also reduced Knight’s bail to $10 million from $25 million. Coen also threw out one of the charges of hit-and-run, saying that the charge only counts for a individual event, even if there were multiple victims.

Sloan testified on Monday, saying that he would not be used to send Knight to prison out of fear of being labeled a “snitch.”

Sloan said during his testimony,

“I don’t want it to get misconstrued that I told on this man… I’m no snitch… I will not be used to send Suge Knight to prison.”

Sloan is a self-described “nonactive gang member,” as well as an actor, film maker and adviser for the upcoming bio-pic Straight Outta Compton.

Sloan suffered several severe injuries as a result of the hit-and-run, including two fractured ankles, two torn knee ligaments, a shoulder injury and a head wound. He says that he is trying to move past the incident that got Carter killed.

Sloan said:

“Every day, I try to forget it – I just know, I screwed up and Terry’s dead.”

If Knight is convicted he would face a mandatory sentence of 25 years to life in prison. Knight was one of the co-founders of Death Row Records, which represented such influential rap artists as Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Tupac in the 1990s.

Etsy stock almost doubled after its first day as a public company on the NASDAQ Thursday, according to BuzzFeed, closing out at $30 per share and a $3.3 billion valuation.

Trading under the ticker of ETSY on the NASDAQ, the arts, crafts, and handmade goods giant opened the day at $31 per share, which was well above its Initial Public Offering (IPO), priced at $16 per share Wednesday, according to CNN Money.

One of three corporations debuting on Wall Street Thursday, Etsy retained its momentum throughout the day, and surged to a close of $3.3 billion valuation, or $30 per share.

Led by Allen and Company, Goldman Sachs, and Morgan Stanley, the IPO raised $267 million Wednesday – $213 of which Etsy keeps, according to BuzzFeed, while investors will get the rest.

Etsy promised merchants they could buy up to 5 percent of Etsy stock, and that includes those who use the site, while $300,000 will go to Etsy.org to help promote “entrepreneurship for women in disadvantaged communities” according to Michigan Live.

Although Etsy reported a loss of $15.2 million in 2014 and has yet to make a profit, it has a good reason to look to the future, analysts say, with “room for revenue growth,” according to Michigan Live.

Celebrating its tenth year in business, Etsy and its founders Rob Kalin, Chris Maguire, and Haim Schoppik, created their signature online marketplace in 2005, which is headquartered in Brooklyn, NY.

Etsy specializes in arts and crafts – unique goods, according to Etsy – many of which are handmade goods sold by the average citizen, although antiques, specialty vintage and offbeat items are also available.

Different from other corporations on the NASDAQ in many ways, Etsy plans for the future, which starkly contrasts from what investors want – fast upfront profit and ever increasing stock prices, according to CNN Money.

Etsy is also different in how it is structured – it is a certified B Corporation via non-profit organization B Lab, and has been since May 2012, according to B Community. This means Etsy is a for-profit company with a strict mission to do environmental and social good – a position that has helped the company flourish online.

That Etsy is a B Corporation could have added to its stock price and valuation price. Etsy’s valuation is well above what anyone expected, even from just four weeks ago when Etsy filed its IPO at $100 million, according to Venture Beat. The magazine said Etsy was “headed for the big times,” with that filing.

While a $100 million IPO is nothing to scoff at – Shopify just filed for a $100 million IPO two days ago – the Facebook IPO closed its first day at a $106 billion valuation after opening at $38 per share in May 2012, according to Time, and Facebook stocks are trading now at $82.31 as of the last closing bell.

According to the New York Times, Etsy Chief Executive Officer Chad Dickerson said that Etsy stock and successful IPO was an “important milestone.” Attributing the success of Etsy’s business model to how successful sellers are, Dickerson said, “We don’t have to make a choice between people and profit.”

That sales jumped 56 percent in the last year and that the Etsy stock doubled in a single day appears to be a testament to that success.

The influential Western Conservative Summit has barred a gay Republican group from participating as a “partner, exhibitor, or advertiser.” The group disagrees with the event planners’ decision but respects their right to deny service or association to anyone they want.

The Colorado Log Cabin Republicans is a group representing LGBT conservatives and their allies. The Colorado chapter paid their $250 fee to set up a booth, but the summit organizers recently sent them a letter saying they would not be allowed to exhibit because of their beliefs on homosexuality.

According to the Denver Post, the group’s Secretary of State, Michael Carr, conceded that the Western Conservative Summit has the right to deny them a booth, acknowledging that “it is a pretty common issue we face. They’ll take our money, but want us in the closet.”

Nevertheless, Carr believes the group is doing a disservice to the Republican brand.

“This is the most important time for us to be reaching out to all types of groups and people, all types of Republicans, all types of conservatives. Young people especially want to see a robust political debate and this dis-invitation is the exact opposite of that. Being perceived as anti-gay turns young people off even more than it does the general public.”

According to Pew Research conducted last year, the majority of Republicans still don’t approve of gay marriage, only 39 percent approve compared to the national average of 54 percent. Likewise, about 44 percent of self-identified Republicans believe gay families are bad for society.

Nevertheless, the more and more states have gradually legalized gay marriage. Furthermore, Republican opposition to LGBT issues will likely wane in time.

The same Pew study showed the majority of young Republicans, age 18 to 29, approve of gay marriage and don’t believe homosexual families are bad for American society. With the writing on the wall, some politicians have begun reversing their stance on gay rights issues.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, even staunch social conservative Michelle Bachmann has shown signs of giving up on the fight against gay marriage.

Still, one area that Republicans are generally in agreement is the right of organizations, including the Western Conservative Summit, to deny services based on their religious beliefs.

According to the Western Conservative Summit website, the summit reserves the right to deny a platform for any group advocating policy against their own core beliefs, including “higher taxes, climate extremism, disarmament, marijuana, abortion, gay marriage, abridgment of religious freedom, or the like…”

The Centennial Institute sponsors the Western Conservative Summit, and the Colorado Christian University is closely affiliated. This year’s event will include talks from Scott Walker, Ben Carson, Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum.

Josiah Duggar’s future wife, 17-year-old Marjorie Jackson, hasn’t appeared on an episode of 19 Kids and Counting yet. However, the teen is starting to get a taste of what it’s like to be a member of the Duggar clan — her motives for courting Josiah are already being questioned, and her fashion choices are being scrutinized.

SheKnows recently criticized Marjorie Jackson’s demeanor in the courtship announcement video that she and 18-year-old Josiah Duggar filmed for TLC. Marjorie is extremely enthusiastic in the video, and the peppy future fundie princess acts an awful lot like the star of a web series or television show aimed at teens. SheKnows speculated that Marjorie might be excited about courting Josiah Duggar simply because she wants to be on TV.

“By courting a Duggar, Marjorie is basically ensuring she’ll appear on the family’s TLC reality series, 19 Kids and Counting, and based on this announcement video, we can’t help but wonder if she’s excited more about getting to know Josiah or working on her already-apparent acting chops,” Christina Marfice writes.

In the intense video below, Josiah Duggar’s future bride shows off some impressive facial gymnastics while she claps her hands together and does a bit about which “J”-named male she has entered into a courtship with. She and Josiah then explain what a courtship is, even though most 19 Kids and Counting fans know by now that courtship is basically a pre-engagement — viewers have already witnessed four of them, and they’ve all ended in marriages. While talking to his older brother Josh, poor Josiah says that courtships aren’t fun — they’re “purposeful.”

To be fair, it’s possible that TLC orchestrated the video above. At the end of the video, Josiah Duggar tells fans to tune in to 19 Kids and Counting to keep updated on his courtship. As the Inquisitr previously reported, TLC also turned Jill Duggar’s birth video into an ad even though it was filmed right after she endured a grueling 70 hours of labor.

Marjorie Jackson is definitely an ambitious girl, so maybe she’s hoping that being on 19 Kids and Counting will lead to big future opportunities. According to PEOPLE, the high school student is already taking college-level graphic design classes, so she might actually attend college someday. So far, none of Josiah Duggar’s sisters have been allowed to leave home to pursue a college education. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Marjorie is already the author of a book titled The Greatest Book You’ve Never Read: Why the Bible Is Not Only Exciting, But It Will Change Your Life! As Bustle reports, Marjorie is wearing jeans in one of the only photos on the book’s Facebook page.

“This is huge!” Nicole Pomarico writes of the photo above. The Duggar daughters hardly ever wear pants, especially blue jeans. In a TLC blog post, Michelle Duggar revealed that her daughters stick to skirts because she believes that girls should be “dressed modestly, and in clothes that are definitely more feminine apparel.” During an interview with Popsugar, Michelle claimed that her daughters don’t have to wear skirts and dresses if they don’t want to.

“As far as wearing dresses, skirts and things, that was a conviction that the Lord placed on my heart and he knew the struggles of my heart from growing up Whether my girls continue that in their lives, it’s up to them.”

Marjorie is wearing a dress that the Duggar family would definitely approve of in the Instagram photo below. 19 Kids and Counting fans will be interested to see if Marjorie continues to dress more like a Duggar daughter that she’s dating a member of the family.

Marjorie is already using her fame to meet “celebrities.” The Duggar Little Ladies Facebook page recently shared the photo below that shows Josiah Duggar and Marjorie Jackson posing with Tom Cotton, the junior Senator from Arkansas, who made a name for himself by trying to derail a nuclear deal with Iran by sending a letter to Iranian leaders. He has also expressed his belief that gay people shouldn’t be worried about being discriminated against — they should just be thankful that they aren’t being executed for being gay.

Viewers will see a very emotional NeNe Leakes on the upcoming The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 7 reunion show. A first look recap of the reunion show, posted on BravoTV.com on Thursday, states that on Part 3 of the reunion, after therapist Dr. Jeff joins the housewives on stage, NeNe breaks down.

“Therapist Dr. Jeff joins the ladies to rehash their group therapy session and in a shocking turn of events, NeNe breaks down in tears and opens up to the group about her personal history in a heartfelt moment that leads to a surprising conclusion.”

On Thursday, NeNe addressed what happened to her at the reunion via her personal blog. She admitted that she lost it for a bit but thanked her supporters, including Porsha Williams and Phaedra Parks, for holding her down that day.

“Yes I was in tears amongst other things but my glam, hubby, manager @aarongray @porsha4real @phaedraparks all held me down that day.”

Not surprisingly, viewers will see NeNe battling it out at the reunion with Kenya Moore and Claudia Jordan, two people with whom she has had drama with all season long. In a spoiler tease of the nine best burns from the reunion, one was NeNe telling Kenya that she can’t disrespect her like she does to others on the cast. NeNe also declares to everyone that Kenya is poor.

“You ain’t going to disrespect me and my husband, b**ch, this ain’t Phaedra.”

What may be more surprising to viewers is NeNe’s drama with Kandi. So far, the season has not shown NeNe and Kandi having any direct negative confrontation. Yet at the reunion, Kandi tells NeNe that she doesn’t like her attitude.

“I don’t like your superior stank a** attitude.”

The first look recap of the reunion show states that NeNe and Kandi get into “a heated exchange of words” after NeNe talks of her frustation over statements that Kandi has made about her over the season. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, NeNe slammed Kandi, even going so far as saying that she failed Phaedra as a friend, via social media after seeing what Kandi said about her to the other housewives and the cameras.

While there will be plenty of drama amongst the housewives, at least they all had one point of agreement: wearing white to the reunion. Kenya Moore and Porsha Williams went with see-through white lace gowns. Claudia Jordan and Cynthia Bailey wore short white dresses. Kandi Burruss and Phaedra Parks wore long white gowns. As for NeNe Leakes, she opted for a low-cut white suit.

Pink Floyd is always in the headlines throughout the year because it is one of the most popular bands on Earth. The reality of this media attention is often due to Pink Floyd tributes by other bands — which are often elaborate. For instance, Hozier recently took on covering Pink Floyd.

However, new information is arising in mid-April that Pink Floyd’s original lead man, Roger Waters, has two releases centered around him coming out in 2015 — and at least one has new footage.

Are Pink Floyd still a band outside of Roger Waters? As it appears, Western Daily Press U.K. states that there were recent rumors that Pink Floyd could be headlining the famous Glastonbury Festival in 2015.

The main piece of evidence that Pink Floyd may be at the 2015 Glastonbury Fest is, “New artwork featuring a moon with planets circulating on a black background has prompted rumours that the remaining members of the band could return to play their iconic album one last time.”

The Western Daily Press U.K. goes on to point out that Pink Floyd is unlikely to get together for a reunion considering their original keyboard player, Richard Wright, died in 2008. Also, Pink Floyd has turned down £136 million to do a reunion tour in the past.

While the world may be holding their breath to see Pink Floyd at Glastonbury, they will be able to see Roger Waters in other ways. First off, Roger Waters’ 1992 project outside of Pink Floyd called Amused to Death is being reformatted.

Ultimate Classic Rock states about the new Roger Waters post-Pink Floyd reissue that it will be available on “CD, CD/Blu-ray, SACD, hi-res digital download, two-LP 200-gram vinyl and limited-edition numbered two-LP picture disc vinyl.”

Amused to Death includes other artists besides Pink Floyd members such as Jeff Beck, Don Henley, Steve Lukather, Jeff Parcaro, Randy Jackson, and Rita Coolidge. It also incorporates arranger Michael Kamen that was an important component of the orchestrations during the making of Pink Floyd’s The Wall. The Amused to Death reissue will be available on July 24.

Speaking of Pink Floyd’s The Wall, there is a new global release date for documentary footage about Pink Floyd’s global The Wall Live Tour. Real Screen reports, “U.K. distributor Picturehouse Entertainment and event promoter Fathom Events have acquired the international and U.S. rights respectively to Roger Waters The Wall. [sic]”

The Pink Floyd-related documentary has already been shown at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival but will be officially released September 29 worldwide. In post-Pink Floyd form, the film is about Roger Waters’ worldwide tour that he did from 2010 to 2013. Allegedly, the tour Roger Waters did for The Wall sans Pink Floyd was, “the biggest worldwide tour by a solo artist ever.”

The September debut of the film will also include and “in conversation” video segment with Roger Waters of Pink Floyd.

TNA Wrestling is known for being a simple alternative to WWE. At least, that is what it used to be. Until TNA decided to be like a WWE 2.0, we saw a lot of differences that made it special. Now the only real difference seen is the rating, which TNA doesn’t use nearly enough. Despite this. TNA has it’s fans and followers. It is good to have, but it appears to not be enough these days. According to The Wrestling Observer, TNA in a terrible place right now.

It is being reported that TNA is back on pay in a major way with top talent. What happened was simple. Top talent was put on salary while lower scale talent was on a pay-per-use basis. Those paid for their use ended up getting paid quickly. Meanwhile top talent on salary ended up not getting money often. Their contracts state that they are supposed to get paid at the first of each month. This hasn’t happened seemingly, which has started to become a major problem. Some are 30 days to months behind right now. This is some of the top names in the company as well, which makes it even more of a problem.

This was known even more glaring when Matt Hardy tweeted out a photo of numerous checks that he was taking to the bank. The thing is, this was his pay for the last few months. He was JUST getting the checks to cash. Hardy was thought to be doing this to show that TNA does indeed pay their talent, but he obviously exposed a flaw in the system without meaning to do so by showing how behind TNA was with him.

Hardy was owed quite a lot of money before TNA caught up with him.

As we know now, TNA announcer Taz decided to leave TNA Wrestling this past week. He was one of the many TNA was behind on pay for, which goes to show that this was not a first time problem for him. He was supposed to be in Nashville, Tennessee days ago to record voice-over material for the next batch of Impact tapings. However, he refused to fly out as TNA is considered to be “way behind” on pay for him. It was a hardball move on his part, which ended up resulting in him leaving the company.

TNA and Taz have kept quiet in regards to him leaving other than Dixie Carter thanking him for his work among others. However, neither side have mentioned why he left yet. Yet it is now pretty well known that Taz left over pay and he may not be the last.

An excuse going around to help people understand pay issues is that TNA recently moved their payroll out of Nashville to the Panda Energy’s home city of Dallas, Texas. However, TNA has actually been sending checks out of Dallas for some time, so this excuse isn’t flying with veteran talent.

On top of all of this, TNA’s new TV network in Destination America is not happy with TNA Wrestling. The reason comes down to ad revenue. TNA isn’t making money back for what Discovery Communications invested in them for Destination America. TNA was signed by Discovery “as an experiment” to see how well wrestling would translate. They were hoping to boost numbers for Destination America through it.

While Impact Wrestling is the highest rating program on the network, it is only bringing in about 30% of what it did with Spike TV. Of course, Spike TV is in far more homes than Destination America right now. In fact, Destination America is only available in about 62% of homes that Spike TV is in. Meaning that numbers would slip where DA couldn’t possibly draw the same ratings for TNA as Spike TV did with them.

Since TNA fans haven’t traveled, DA has not seen a boost to help with ad revenue. TNA is getting under half what it did with Spike, which isn’t good considering they were averaging a 1.0 last year. This has made Destination America quite upset, and now it appears they are stuck with this problem for a while. TNA is still their top show, so they are seeing results. However, the company simply felt that TNA would draw far more than it has.

Between network issues and pay trouble, TNA does not look to be in a great position. Here’s hoping that they can fix the problems and improve ratings. If they cannot, there will be a lot more problems forthcoming.

A Memphis teacher is in hot water following an altercation with a student. A disturbing cell phone video shows him putting the student in a chokehold. According to the Daily Mail, the unnamed teacher was initially attempting to diffuse a physical altercation between the boy and another student. It’s probably safe to say the teacher only intended to break up the fight, but the way he chose to go about it has sparked controversy. He ended up putting one of the boys in a chokehold. The one-minute video captures the disturbing act. Although the video is relatively short, a lot occurred in such a short period of time. Now, his mother Shunkita Qualls wants answers.

During an interview with Fox-13, she shared her reaction to the shocking clip. She also revealed her son suffered bruising on his neck and arms from the choking incident.

“(It was) heartbreaking. It brought tears to my eyes,” Qualls said, “No mother wants to send their child to school and have to see something like that. “The other boy in the video clearly states he walked out of the room,” she described, “so there’s no reason to slam him on the ground, none of that, choke him, my son has asthma. He said while he was on the ground, he can’t breathe, he’s calm.”

The Shelby County School District has also released a statement to Fox-13 addressing the disturbing incident.

“We are aware a fight took place yesterday between two students. This fight resulted in a teacher, attempting to break up the melee. School security and administrators have reviewed the video and felt that the actions taken by the teacher were used to prevent the student from retaliating against the other student.”

The district also cited that teachers are not formally trained to diffuse physical altercations. However, they are allowed to intervene using “the minimum physical force required lasting for the shortest time predictable, to correct or restrain a student.” But, based on the footage, it does not appear the teacher’s actions coincide with the district’s policy regarding “minimal force.”

The definition of “minimal force” has sparked a debate online. After viewing the disturbing video, surprisingly, many viewers have mixed opinions. While some viewers insist the teacher’s actions were justifiable, others agree with Qualls insisting the teacher’s actions are an example of excessive force, reports Opposing Views. But, nevertheless his mother definitely insists the teacher went way too far. It has been reported that Qualls has filed a police report, but it is unclear whether or not the teacher will be fired. The Memphis Police Department has stated that no charges have been filed yet. However, both students have been suspended from school for fighting.

Who says that Splitsville is the loneliest destination on Planet Earth? Not Amber Rose, that’s for darn sure. After the demise of her relationship with rapper Wiz Khalifa, the hip hop fashion star recently tried to stoke the flames of romance once again, according to Hollywood Life. But after an unceremonious rebuff from her longtime beau and the father of her child, Amber finally seems to be moving on. And there’s at least one suitor who is already driving hard to the hoop.

In a video posted online by TMZ, recording artist and producer Ray J claims he recently encountered Amber Rose outside of a club and made his intentions clear. After complimenting Amber’s derrière in a rather blunt, but ostensibly flattering fashion, Ray J went on to tell the TMZ videographer that he told Rose, “I’m here” and she responded by saying, “I’m here, too.”

Hollywood Life notes that Amber Rose isn’t making any bones about the fact that she’s back on the market. She reportedly discussed the present state of her love life on a recent chat show with Khandi Burrus, acknowledging that her relationship with husband Khalifa was on the skids. Amber said she’s been on two dates since coming to terms with the apparent denouement of their union. She’s probably not counting that scandalous lip-lock with Amy Schumer from the MTV Movie Awards show, though.

While Amber Rose is living large and leaving it all behind, Wiz Khalifa seems to be experiencing pangs of regret. As previously reported by Inquisitr, Wiz recently posted a photo of himself with the intriguing caption, “Only thing missing is u.” Many star watchers interpreted Amber Rose to be the “u” in question.

At least this breakup is far more amicable than Amber’s previous parting of ways with Kanye West. In Touch recalls that West infamously aired the couple’s proverbial dirty laundry on a radio show. During the interview, West said that women were reluctant to be with a man who had been so close with Amber Rose, claiming he had to “take 30 showers” before he “got with Kim.”

If Amber Rose deserves props for getting on with her life, it’s only fair to give Ray J high marks for his cockeyed optimism. After telling TMZ of his penchant for Amber, Ray added, “All in due time.” He even coined a hash tag on the spot to summarize where things go from here: #TTT (meaning “things take time.”) Clearly, the ball is in Amber Rose’s court for the moment but if the two stars eventually do get serious it’s a safe bet they’ll be on the fast track to becoming hip hop’s next power couple.

Amber Rose Bounces Back From Split With Wiz Khalifa Like a Pro, Gets Flirty With Ray J is an article from: The Inquisitr News

David Hibbitt had cancer and was given only 18 months to live. He had gone through arduous chemotherapy and radiotherapy sessions prior to surgery to remove his large bowel in March, 2013, none of which were successful, according to Metro. He said the following, indicating that friends suggested that he try cannabis oil.

“Friends had told me about cannabis oil and I dismissed it at first. I’ve never been into drugs. I felt like the chemo was killing me and I had nothing to lose. I could not really accept I was going to die.”

Hibbitt says that he treated himself with cannabis oil and that his health changed dramatically as a result. In fact, he says that doctors indicated that he is now cancer free, according to the LAD Bible.

There is ongoing debate whether cannabis can, or should, be used to treat illnesses like cancer. In the United Kingdom, it’s still a class B drug and has illegal status. In the United States, some research shows that the drug could be used for some medicinal purposes, and some states have legalized its use in certain circumstances, according to LAD Bible.

Although it’s aware of patients using cannabis extracts to treat themselves, Cancer Research U.K. indicates that there was “no good evidence” from clinical trials to prove it was safe and effective.

The United States Government has funded research which found that there are substantial health benefits that derive from medical marijuana, including killing cancer cells. The National Institute on Drug Abuse issued a report that is favorable towards the use of medical marijuana, according to the LAD Bible.

“Recent animal studies have shown that marijuana can kill certain cancer cells and reduce the size of others. Evidence from one animal study suggests that extracts from whole-plant marijuana can shrink one of the most serious types of brain tumours. Research in mice showed that these extracts, when used with radiation, increased the cancer-killing effects of the radiation.”

Now Hibbitt, 33, is looking forward to a long future with his new bride.

Another convert to the benefits is Alexis Bortell from Texas. She had epileptic seizures that were quelled by medical marijuana, according to an article in the Inquisitr. Therefore, she turned into an advocate for legalized cannabis.

Earlier this week, UFC featherweight Conor McGregor said that he would “kill Floyd Mayweather in less than thirty seconds,” and according to UFC President Dana White, any UFC fighter would beat Floyd Mayweather, including the women.

Most fighters in their respective sport always say that if they went into the other fighters’ world, they wouldn’t do too well. In the past, Mayweather has been the exception to that, saying that all you need to be a successful cage is a mo-hawk and tattoos, possibly referring to UFC legend Chuck Liddell.

The UFC President’s job is to promote his brand, so there’s no way that he would ever admit that one of his fighters — male or female — would lose to Floyd Mayweather, even if he believed that they would. White spoke with TMZ, and not only named Conor McGregor as someone who would destroy Mayweather, he also said UFC women’s strawweight contender Paige VanZant would be able to take Mayweather out.

“Do you not believe that? [McGregor would beat Mayweather] Of course. Any of these guys [Dana points to UFC fighters passing by] would beat Mayweather. All of these guys would beat Mayweather. Not just Conor, she’d [Paige VanZant passing by] beat Mayweather.”

“Boxing is just one thing. These guys do everything — every one of these guys would kick Mayweather’s a**. I’ll be there, I’m going [to Mayweather/Pacquiao] and I’m paying for my tickets — everybody’s paying for their tickets.”

There’s never been a high-level professional boxer who has successfully made the transition into mixed-martial-arts. Former boxing great James “Lights Out” Toney gave MMA a try back in 2010 when he took on UFC legend Randy Couture. Toney was completely dominated by Couture, and tapped out in the very first round. Since then, there hasn’t been a high-level boxer that has attempted to make the move to MMA. There were rumors of Adrien Broner making the move to MMA, but Broner has later come out and said that he has no plans to make the transition, and added that MMA isn’t a real sport.

Nobody really knows why the UFC is targeting Floyd Mayweather as of late. It could be because Mayweather is about to take part in the biggest fight in the history of combat sports when he takes on Manny Pacquiao next month, and the UFC wants to grab a headline or two by mentioning his name. It’s unlikely that Mayweather will ever respond to any of the UFC fighters who claim they could take him down, and it’s even more unlikely that Mayweather would ever consider testing some of these fighters by making the move to MMA.

Anyone who has seen the new trailer for MTV’s television adaptation of Wes Craven’s Scream know that the MTV version has done away with the famous Ghostface mask. The new Scream killer’s mask is blurry and somewhat concealed in the trailer, but one thing is certain: it’s not Ghostface.

If you’re thinking about writing an angry email to Wes Craven, describing in detail your feelings of injustice concerning this alteration in the famous killer’s persona, Mr. Craven advises you not to waste your time. But Wes Craven is clearly an executive producer for MTV’s Scream, right? Right?

“I just put my name on it,” Wes explains. “I was too busy to do much else.”

Although Wes had no part in the idea to scrap the famous Scream mask, Mr. Craven would have advised against it, if he’d been asked. In a recent interview, Mr. Craven admits that he learned the hard way that there’s some truth to the old adage “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

“In general,” Wes admitted, “we didn’t mess with the mask at all. It’s something we didn’t try to change. With Freddy [Krueger] and the New Nightmare, I felt that I probably should have stuck with the original face. [With Scream,] we just let Ghostface be Ghostface.”

“It would have been safer [not to change Freddy],” Mr. Craven added. “I’m not going to speculate in public, probably shouldn’t have even mentioned it, but you know, sometimes you realize that something’s not broken, so don’t fix it. And that was the course we took on all the Scream films: Don’t mess with that, it’s just perfect.”

There was no doubt for Mr. Craven that the success of the Scream films hinged on the killer’s mask. As soon as Wes came upon the Ghostface mask, Craven said he told studio executives that the mask was vital to the project.

Fun World created the mask in 1991 as a part of a line of Halloween costumes, but it wasn’t until Wes Craven spotted the costume and incorporated it into the Scream films that Ghostface’s popularity really began to soar.

Although MTV has denied that the decision to change the mask was budget-related, reports confirm that talks did occur between the network and Fun World, regarding the company’s licensing fee. Mr. Craven might have recommended paying the fee, if he’d been involved in those meetings.

Wes Craven Comes Clean About The ‘Scream’ Series And His Freddy Krueger Regrets is an article from: The Inquisitr News

WWE has been known to have a good tag team division over the years. Sadly however, the tag division has declined. While WWE has attempted to bring it back here and there, it just wasn’t good enough to stick around and make a big impact. Now that the Usos are out for a bit due to Jey’s injury, it brings about another issue for the WWE to get past. However, WWE is lucky this time around as WWE NXT has a lot of great tag teams that the company can use.

WWE brought up two of them so far in The Ascension and Lucha Dragons. While The Ascension hasn’t worked out well, the Lucha Dragons have been a huge hit since arriving. WWE also brought back the Prime Time Players to aid the division and the tag team of Cesaro and Tyson Kidd has proven their worth too. Now Vince McMahon has pretty much decided to revamp things and bring back the tag division. This is the first time in a long time that McMahon himself is involved in such a move.

According to Daily Wrestling News, The Lucha Dragons are being pushed for two reasons. The first is due to The Usos being out of commission for a bit. The second is because WWE wants to push them to the top of the division. Kalisto and Sin Cara have proven themselves in NXT and on the main roster since their arrival and the company has taken notice. It is believed that WWE has so much faith in them that they feel they can give good matches to Cesaro and Tyson Kidd and could be good tag team champions down the line.

Vince feels that the Lucha Dragon gimmick works quite well and he sees how over they are and is willing to give them whatever push needed since he knows fans want to see it. So basically, the Lucha Dragons came up at an excellent time and got over at the right time as well. Between The Usos going down and their great work since coming up, the Dragons have an excellent opportunity coming.

The Lucha Dragons are just different enough to stick out, but they also have the ability to work with anyone. So WWE can use them in a variety of ways with a variety of teams. However, we’ll probably see Cesaro/Kidd vs The Dragons for the next few months.

It’s not everyday you see Amber Rose with hair. However, when you do, she makes it worth your attention. Via Instagram, Amber shows off her “Jessica Rabbit” look.

Since Rose was young, she’s alternated through various short and long hair lengths. Via Amber’s Instagram, she posted a picture of herself at 18 years of age. On the picture, Rose’s hair was short — much like you’re probably used to seeing.

However, from the looks of recent Instagram postings, Amber is with hair again — red, long hair. In one of the pics, Rose titled it “Jessica Rabbit.” You can see that the celebrity was possibly going for the aforementioned look.

Maybe Amber’s trying something new with her hair because she’s supposedly made a decision to move on from Wiz Khalifa. Many people tend to change their appearances when they make life-changing decisions.

Nevertheless, the two have been back and forth for the last year, give or take a few months. Recently, it seemed as though Rose and Khalifa were going to work things out. However, rumors say that she could be flirting with Ray J now.

But in a related topic, in an interview with Dish Nation, Amber spoke about how people tend to judge her when she posts photos of her son, Sebastian.

“I’ll post a picture of my son, and they’ll be like, ‘Does he know that his mother’s a slut?’… But I had a slutwalk for woman to come and just be, like, inspired and live life… and know that we’re all sexual beings. And we should be unapologetic about how we feel.”

In being unapologetic, Rose appears unbothered by what Instagram users have to say about her revamped look. From viewing the comments, she’s getting a lot of both, yes and no.

Under the radar, Amber is definitely a hustler, and hustler-spirits are hard to break. Likewise, Rose’s movie Sister Code is completed — as reports the Internet Movie Database (IMDb). During Amber’s Dish Nation interview, she mentions the role briefly.

“Sister Code‘ll be out May 8th in theaters. It’s three sisters. We’re foster sisters. It’s the trials and tribulations of our lives and what families go through. It’s very relate-able. It’s kinda like a ‘dramedy’.”

However, IMDb’s description of Amber’s movie specifically states as follows.

“After the death of their mother, three foster sisters – the shrewd business woman, the free spirit, and the caregiver – find themselves fighting for their individual dreams and fighting each other in this tale of love, lust, and tragedy.”

Whatever the case, whether it’s Amber Rose with hair or without, she’s makes strides, regardless of naysayers’ opinions and comments.

If you had one last birthday wish, what would it be? For Samantha “Sam” Bieno of Portage, Wisconsin, it was kindness. Her wish was that people all over would perform random acts of kindness to friends and strangers. Sam was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in 2012. Sadly, Sam passed away April 9 a week shy of her 23rd birthday. Despite the prognosis, she did not let leukemia change the way she felt about life according to her sister, Nicole.

Not every day is good, but there’s good in every day. She said that a lot.

Sam’s mother shared a little of what drove Sam to make the birthday wish she made.

She had on her phone a quote from the Dalai Lama, ‘Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.’ That’s how she lived. She had on her bucket-list to go out on her birthday and do good deeds. On Wednesday, we were talking about it and she said she wanted everyone to do good deeds and that would be the most perfect thing.

Her wish was granted. In her hometown, the local Culver’s gave away her favorite flavor, cookie dough craving. Sam had a passion for Build-A-Bear animals. She would donate these animals to children with illnesses. For that reason, community members filled a room where her mother worked with 183 stuffed Build-A-Bears to be donated to the same cause. The outpouring of these random acts of kindness did not stop in Portage.

Mor Zolondez, a member of Sam’s online cancer support group from Israel, started a Facebook page in her honor. Once Twitter took off her last birthday wish was granted “from sea to shining see.” In Anchorage, Alaska, people handed sandwiches out to the needy. In Iowa, students gave out doughnuts to police officers.

The world can learn as much from Sam Bieno in her passing as they did in her life. She did not let her illness get her down. She faced it head on and was just as quick to help others through their illnesses. In December 2013, Sam shared her story on the I Had Cancer Blog as a way to help others cope.

I continued to use “there is good in every day” throughout my recovery and I still use it to this day. Cancer is not only a battle of the body, but also of the mind. There is a need to take care of both as much as possible. Being positive was my way of taking care of my mental state while fighting – it was my “survival mode.” Cancer was hell for me and I prefer to never do it again, but my mantra helped me learn a lot of lessons, viewpoints, and even a new career path. Now I know that cancer can be positive, if you just stare it in the face and look at it the right way.

On April 15, community member’s along with her family met to release 23 orange balloons on what would have been her 23rd birthday. It is safe to say that her selfless last birthday wish did indeed come true.

There are many funeral traditions, but the one that Mrs. Jian had is quite unique. She hired two scantily-clad strippers to dance around her dead husband’s coffin. She wanted to give him a send-off that wouldn’t be forgotten. As this has gone viral on the internet, you can say she succeeded.

She said that her husband always had an eye for the ladies, according to Metro, so this was a fitting tribute of sorts. Mr. Jian suffered a stroke before passing, and during his life, Mrs. Jian was said to be very devoted and tend to his every need and stay by his bedside when he became ill.

Friends and family of the deceased were, understandably, shocked by the bizarre spectacle. The two women, clad in black lacy underwear and lingerie and thigh-high black boots, gyrated and danced to Maroon 5’s “Moves Like Jagger,” even draping themselves over the coffin at times.

Many of the mourners seemed more interested in taking video with their phones than in the normal funeral traditions. The link to a video of the spectacle can be seen here.

Amazingly, strippers at funerals has links back to the mafia in Taiwanese culture, according to Diamond Celebrities. Since a trend that began in the 1970s, Taiwanese funerals have often been know to feature strippers. In Taiwanese culture, sexy dancers are often hired to attract crowds And, the belief is, the more people who attend the funeral, the greater honor is given to the deceased, and the better life they will have in the next life, according to the Mirror.

The strippers also have their own transportation method called electric flower cars. They are open air trucks equipped with stripper poles for ease of mobility during funeral and festival procession. Just when you thought that you’ve heard everything.

So what is usually a somber, sad event became something that the attendees will talk about long after the event, just as Mrs. Jian wanted.

Would you ever attend or have a funeral with scantily-clad dancers for someone? Some people believe in remembering the deceased in a positive manner and not have a sad event, as some people indicate that they want a celebration of their life, not of their death.

Then, there are grisly deaths in which no type of life celebration could be held. El Paso police are currently investigating the deaths of two people in an apparent grisly murder-suicide case according to the Inquisitr.

Widow Hires Strippers To Dance Around Dead Husband’s Coffin At Funeral is an article from: The Inquisitr News

Brandi Glanville seemed intent on using her last blog post of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 5 to leave a better impression with her co-stars and the show’s viewers. Unlike in her previous blog posts, Brandi didn’t criticize anyone or even defend her own behavior. After talking about celebrating her son’s birthday and her wine venture, Brandi left positive and optimistic messages for each of her co-stars, even for Kyle Richards. For Kyle, Brandi told her that she hopes that she and Kim will once become close.

“Kyle, best wishes on you and your family’s endeavors. My sincerest wish is that you and Kim could be as close as you ever were in the near future.”

Kyle herself seems to still be holding out hope for her relationship with Kim. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Kyle wished Kim a happy National Sibling Day and declared that they’re sisters no matter what.

In her message for Kim Richards, Brandi told her that she’s always there for here.

“Kim, love having you as a BFF. I’m always here for you, and I hope you are always here for me. You are a strong chica, and I know your family is better for it. You are hilarious, and I love our funny talks and text-offs. Laughter is the best medicine. I heart you.”

It’s not clear whether Brandi’s blog post, posted on Thursday at 4:16 p.m. EST, was written before of her knowledge of Kim’s arrest for public intoxication on Thursday in Beverly Hills. TMZ reported that a drunken and unruly Kim was arrested at the Beverly Hills Hotel early Thursday morning after refusing to leave and locking herself in the bathroom. She then allegedly kicked a police officer at the jail where she was brought to. The site reports that Kim was charged with trespass, resisting arrest, battery on a police officer and being drunk in public.

Brandi Glanville’s well wishes for Kyle Richards’ relationship with Kim Richards and her declaration that Kim is a BFF (best friend forever) will likely ring untrue for some of her The RealHousewives of Beverly Hills co-stars, in particular Lisa Vanderpump. In her blog post, Lisa criticized Brandi’s interference with Kyle and Kim‘s relationship, done with a clear intent to bring down Kyle, and doubted Brandi’s friendship with Kim.

“I think upon reflection, it has been pretty obvious after months of filming the intent of some to insert themselves into an already fractious situation…I doubt since filming has wrapped whether there has been much interaction between BG and Kim. It would suprise me greatly if this supposedly close relationship is still flourishing…what concerned me this season was the manipulative attempt by BG to undermine Kyle and to validate any negativity that Kim was feeling, salaciously stating what a wonderful friend she was and how totally unsupportive Kyle has been…BG has no idea of any history, just a few short months under the glare of reality television.”
