A high school hall monitor has been arrested after the father of a 17-year-old student caught him naked in bed with his daughter.

Tajreed Rich, worked at Robbinsdale Cooper High School in Minneapolis, has since been charged with sexual assault, after he was found in the girl’s bedroom when her dad returned home early.

The father, who has not been named, went into his daughter’s bedroom after he heard strange noises emanating from her walls. When he went in he found a nude Tajreed Rich, standing over her naked body.

He recognised Rich from school, and the family then decided to call the police later in the day. Rich was fired on Monday from Robbinsdale Cooper.

It was later confirmed that he has counselled students at the school about their relationships and had even been in charge of a cheer leading squad at a different school.

The teenager stated that she’d had sex with Rich on two separate occasions, which he went on to confirm. He also noted that the incidents occurred once at his home, and once at her house, and that on both occasions he didn’t wear a condom.

Rich also said that he knew he shouldn’t have gone through with the relationship, and described the girl as a “vulnerable student.”

Robbinsdale Cooper High School released a statement that read, “This is a horrible incident, and the district finds acts such as this reprehensible. The safety and well-being of our students is our top priority, and our hearts go out to the family during this time.”

Country Attorney Mike Freeman told a press conference about the incident, “[It's] a tragedy for any father [who] comes home and finds his daughter in bed with another man. He’s 41, she’s 17 … He’s a hall monitor. I mean, the charge here is a position of authority. I think parents have a right to expect when their kids are at school that people employed at that school are not going to mess with their daughters, or sons, for that matter.”

Terrell Owens says he’s still waiting for an NFL team to call after announcing his intention to make a comeback in the league.

He’ll be waiting a long time, likely forever.

The mercurial wide receiver last caught a glimpse of the NFL in summer of last year, when he was signed by the Seattle Seahawks but cut during training camp. Owens spent the season away from football, but said last week he intended to play again this year.

Owens added that he would formally retire if he couldn’t find a team for 2013.

“If I don’t play this year, I’m retiring,” Owens said. “That’s just me being realistic. I want to play again. I want to go out on top with a team. I think I can still play, but if I don’t sign with a team, it would be time to retire. I have to be honest with myself.”

If Terrell Owens wanted to be truly honest, he would admit that he used up his last chance in the league. He gained a reputation early as a volatile young player who could dominate on the field but divide a locker room. He burned bridges with the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, and Dallas Cowboys, but was so talented that teams were always willing to give him a shot.

Owens mellowed during the tail end of his career, starting with a low-key stint on the Buffalo Bills. But by then Owens had burned too many bridges, and as his skills faded a bit his opportunities dwindled. Suddenly no one wanted to take a chance on a star with diminishing skills.

He even admits as much.

“It’s all politics,” Owens said. “I think a lot of it has to do with my reputation, things that I’ve done early in my career. I’m a changed person. I’m a bit more mature than I was in years past, and I think if anybody out there can look past that and look what I can bring to the team than some of the things that happened in the past, I can look past it and maybe they could, and I could go in and help a team develop some of those younger guys.”

There is no doubt that Terrell Owens is in great shape. Even at 38 he is in prime physical condition, and has plenty of skills to contribute on the field, but would be a third or fourth receiver at best. Most teams would want a young, up-and-coming player or special teams contributor in that slot.

Farrah Abraham makes news again, stating to Howard Stern that she pleasures herself to her own sex tape, “Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom.”

In a rather… revealing interview with Howard Stern, “Teen Mom” star Farrah Abraham said, “I masturbate to . . . I like to watch my own video.”

Abraham, 22 and mother of 3-year-old Sophia Abraham, continues on to say, “I mean, I’ve had my video for a while so I’ve seen it . . . a lot.”

She seems to be holding nothing back during this interview.

Abraham apparently stood by her claim that her XXX-rated tape was originally filmed as a private “home video,” but was then leaked.

According to US Weekly, not everyone on Stern’s staff believed her. “She’s sitting here lying,” JD Harmeyer argued. “It was a pre-meditated tape.”

Of course, Abraham denied that it was a pre-meditated tape, and when she does, Harmeyer sarcastically responded by saying

“You’re not everywhere trying to get your picture taken on the beach.”

Abraham fired back by saying, “You’re an angry individual. You really need to go take care of yourself.”

What Abraham meant by “take care of yourself” is still up in the air, but it seems that she had no hard feelings against Stern or the show, considering she tweeted the following two tweets:

It would seem like a safe bet that Abraham is soaking up what she can from her media exposure, even if she claims that she doesn’t go looking for the attention.

She just continues on with her life as if nothing happened, or at least that’s how she portrays herself.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer writer Marti Noxon has been tapped to pen MGM’s upcoming Tomb Raider reboot.

The details of the plot are still being worked out, but the film will most likely follow Lara Croft on one of her international adventures. Whether the heroine will parallel her video game counterpart remains to be seen. Lara was played by Angelina Jolie for two films, but the second one, Cradle of Life, performed poorly and did not make enough money to complete what was supposed to be a trilogy.

The Tomb Raider reboot is being developed by Graham King (Argo), who will also produce the film through his GK Films banner. King picked up the rights to the project and took them to MGM after Paramount let them expire.

In addition to Buffy the Vampire Slayer (and its spinoff, Angel), Noxon also adapted The Glass Castle for Lionsgate. The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence is set to play author Jeannette Walls in the film adaptation of her best-selling memoir of the same name. The memoir recounts Walls’ and her siblings’ unconventional childhood and upbringing at the hands of their highly dysfunctional parents. The children experienced extreme poverty, as well as bullying, and moved around several times in their parents’ attempts to make a fresh start.

Marti Noxon is best-known for being a TV showrunner, but has made the move to film. She wrote the screenplay for DreamWorks’ I Am Number Four and Fright Night, both released in 2011.

MGM’s upcoming reboot comes after the release of Square Enix’s Tomb Raider. While the fifth Tomb Raider title developed by Crystal Dynamics in the franchise, the 2013 Tomb Raider is the first installment in a new continuity. The current version focuses on Lara’s origins, and so features a younger heroine than the one in the original series. Tomb Raider (the current version) went on to sell one million copies within the first 48 hours of its release, and sold 3.4 million copies in its first month.

NASCAR driver Jason Leffler has died of injuries sustained in a crash, police in NJ have confirmed.

Initial reports about Jason Leffler’s fatal accident are just trickling in, but SI.com reports that the 37-year-old NASCAR racer was airlifted to a local hospital in New Jersey following the accident, saying:

“Leffler was involved in an accident while competing in a heat race in the 410 Sprints division at the Bridgeport (N.J.) Speedway’s 0.625-mile dirt oval. The remainder of the racing scheduled for Wednesday night was postponed because of the accident.”

SportingNews.com reports that Leffler was involved in the accident earlier this evening and pronounced dead shortly after 9 PM.

According to the site, the NASCAR racer had a good year and strong career in motorsport, and they explain:

“Leffler, 37, had 73 career Cup starts, including one last week for Humphrey Smith Racing at Pocono. He finished 10th in the 2001 season finale driving for Chip Ganassi Racing at Homestead-Miami Speedway. His one pole came earlier that year at Kansas.”

A Brooklyn woman found a gun in her 11-year-old son’s room and didn’t wait long to turn it in to community activists, who eventually gave it to the police.

The mom admitted that she was suspicious of her son’s friends and decided to look around his room. She came across a .38-caliber handgun and handed it over to community activists Tony Herbert and Anthony Newerls.

“I’m just relieved to get that gun out of my house,” she said.

The 11-year-old boy told his mom that a teenager gave him the gun for safekeeping. If people who own the gun find out about this, the child could be in a lot of danger.

Newerls said that the mom likely saved someone’s life by turning in the gun. “Can you imagine a sixth-grader taking this gun to school?” he asked. “This is why we ask parents to look into their kids’ rooms. The consequences of one bullet doesn’t hurt just one person. It hurts many.”

Herbert also encourages parents to look through their kids’ rooms. “We want mothers to flip their rooms. Go inside. Talk to your kids. You pay the rent so you have the entitlement to go in there and do whatever you need to do to find out what is happening in that kid’s life,” he said.

Police officials in Brooklyn persuade people to turn in guns by having an ongoing buy-back program, in which people can receive $100 for turning in a gun.

“Anytime we can get a gun off the streets I am all for it. They can always call a precinct and we will come and pick it up,” Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said.

Halle Berry and  Olivier Martinez have learned their baby’s gender, and it looks like Berry’s daughter Nahla will now have a little brother.

Berry’s 47-year-old French fiance confirmed the news at the opening night of the Champs-Elysées Film Festival Wednesday, where he is serving as this year’s honorary president.

“My son will be an American, but I remain French,” he said.

It was first reported that the 46-year-old Berry was pregnant in April, when sources connected to the actress and her fiance told TMZ that she was about three months pregnant. However, the website believed that she may have been further along based on recent pictures. Berry already has a 5-year-old daughter, Nahla, with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry. The couple had been dating since 2005 before announcing their separation in 2010. The two have since been engaged in a nasty custody battle over Nahla.

Shortly after the pregnancy report, Berry said that having a second child at 46 was the biggest surprise of her life.

“I feel fantastic. This has been the biggest surprise of my life to tell you the truth,” Berry said. “I thought I was kind of past the point where this could be a reality for me. So it’s been a big surprise and the most wonderful.”

Berry said she actually expected her pregnancy to be something else entirely.

“I was at the doctor’s when they told me and I was completely shocked,” Berry told Hello! magazine last month. “I didn’t see it coming. I went to the doctor because I thought I had kidney stones or something.”

The Grammy winner hasn’t let pregnancy slow her down, as she still continues to go for her morning workouts in Beverly Hills.

Halle Berry is currently with her beau in Paris, where they are expected to walk the red carpet together Thursday evening. Berry will be the special guest of honor. The couple have yet to announce a due date, and various websites disagree about whether she is due in the summer or fall.

Australian endurance athlete, Chloe McCardel is determined to complete the Havana Florida swim without the protection of a shark cage.

The 28-year-old told CBS News, “As confident as I can be. I think it’s all going to work out well. It’ll be tough, though. It’s not going to be an easy ride, but we’ll get through it as a team.”

McCardel is hoping to take about 60 hours, give or take, to complete the 100 or so mile swim between Cuba and the Florida Keys.

The athlete will be up against dangerous many factors, including jellyfish and sharks.

“It is the hardest swim in the world today,” McCardel said earlier at a news conference in the Cuban capital. “No one has been able to achieve this. It’s possibly harder than winning the World Cup or getting a gold medal.”

CBS News reported:

“The challenge also outstrips by far, at least in terms of distance, anything she’s done before. McCardel, who has twice made a double crossing of the English Channel, said the most time she’s spent in the water continuously is 25 hours.”

The Huffington Post stated that McCardel will be swimming under English Channel marathon rules,

“Which meant she could not touch her support boat or hold on to anything. Nor was she allowed to wear a full-body wetsuit, which would have helped protect against exposure and jellyfish stings.”

The report continued on to say:

“The team picked June for the attempt in a bit of a tradeoff: While seas are warmer later in the summer, this month typically sees lower concentrations of box jellyfish, whose dangerous stings have scuttled past attempts.”

The last attempt to make this swim was done by Diana Nyad last year, though she wasn’t able to complete the challenge because of too many jellyfish stings, says msnNOW.

The mother of Modern Family star Ariel Winter was back in a Los Angeles courtroom Wednesday morning saying that a legal relief fee claimed by her estranged daughter, Shanelle Gray, is legally hers.

Chris Workman’s lawyers said that their client was obligated to the $160,000 legal relief fee claimed by Gray, who is currently her younger sister’s court-appointed guardian, because she was Winter’s guardian at the time.

However, Gray’s lawyer Michael J. Kretzmer said that he helped secure a four-year contract with ABC for Winter to appear on Modern Family, a deal that is worth over $6 million. Kretzmer said that producers initially wanted to write Winter’s character, Alex Dunphy, off of the show until he intervened.

According to Radar Online, a judge took Kretzmer’s transaction records and delayed his decision until July 3.

The 15-year-old Modern Family star was placed under the guardianship of her older sister in November after Winter said that she suffered physical and emotional abuse at the hands of her mother. Court records described the abuse as “on going physical abuse (slapping, hitting, pushing), and emotional abuse (vile name-calling, personal insults about minor and minor’s weight, attempts to ‘sexualize’ minor, deprivation of food, etc.” The court then granted temporary custody of Winter to Gray, who won’t have access to her younger sister’s earnings.

Winter’s 34-year-old sister was also removed from Workman’s home 20 years ago under similar abuse allegations. Shanelle Gray spent two years in foster care, and never returned to Workman’s custody. Workman has denied the abuse claims, saying, “It’s all untrue, it’s all untrue.” She also told PEOPLE magazine, “I have my doctor’s letter that my daughter’s never been abused. I have stylists’ letters that she’s never been abused.”

Shortly after Winter’s abuse allegations came out, Chris Workman said that she found her then-14-year-old daughter in bed with her 18-year-old boyfriend. Workman said she “put a stop to it immediately” and filed charges agains the older boy “because legally he is an adult.”

Ariel Winter’s Mom Returns To Court Over Finances is a post from: The Inquisitr

A dead man was found in a wheel well after seven flights. The man apparently stowed away in the wheel well of an iFly Airbus A330-300. The dead and frozen stowaway was discovered at Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport, when a crew member saw blood on the landing gear.

Upon further inspection, the crew member found the man’s body lodged inside the wheel well. Identification found with the man revealed that he was a native of Georgia.

It is unknown exactly how long the dead man was inside the wheel well. As reported by The Australian, a medical examiner determined that he froze to death at least four days before he was discovered.

The man’s body was found on June 6. According to flight records, the Russian charter logged seven flights in the four days previous to his discovery.

It may seem unlikely that the dead man went unnoticed by the maintenance crew for seven flights. However, as explained by commercial pilot Patrick Smith, it may not be feasible to do a thorough inspection between flights:

“Walk around inspections, which are done by maintenance personnel … do include a check of the landing-gear bays but there’s so much plumbing and machinery in there that every nook and cranny isn’t necessarily visible.”

As reported by NBC News, dead people are found in wheel wells far too often. Since 1947, 99 stowaways have been discovered in airplane wheel wells. Seventy-six of those stowaways died.

Moving parts, extreme temperatures, and dangerous air pressure are to blame for most of the deaths. As stated by Smith, “there’s almost no chance of survival.”

Unfortunately for some, the chance of a better life, in another country, outweighs the risk. The stowaways are almost always traveling out of developing nations.

It is unusual that a dead man was found in a wheel well after seven days. Even more unusual is the fact that nobody realized he was there. Sadly, his reasoning may never be known or understood.

After the release of the first trailer of Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug on the internet on Tuesday, much has been discussed. One of the aspects that fans were most looking forward to is what would Smaug the Dragon look like.

If you are a follower of the saga, you will remember that at the end of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, we got a tiny little peak at the dragon when Bilbo Baggins and his dwarven friends set on the quest for their long lost home.

The trailer had plenty of action, which some claim the first film did not have, but many do not agree with that perception. As any introduction, Unexpected Journey, had some slower moments while introducing the characters and story line to the audience, but it was also filled with action.

The final scene of the first film sees the dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield, played by Richard Armitage put up a spectacular fight for survival against the formidable Orcs. As a matter of fact, they almost loose their leader, but he is saved by the wizard, Gandalf (Ian McKellen).

The Hobbit, unlike The Lord of the Rings, which is its sequel, is only one book, and yes, Peter Jackson has taken some liberties with the story, bringing back characters that lived 60 years after, but that is what movies are for.

It’s not an exact adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s novel and so many of the characters from Lord of the Rings return to The Hobbit, which is a testament to Jackson’s talent.

The new trailer ended with a nice peek at the Dragon, just the face and no voice, which will be performed by Benedict Cumberbatch. We also saw Orlando Bloom reprising the role of Legolas and Lee Pace as his father Thranduil.

Another much anticipated new character is Bard the Bowman, who is played by Welsh actor Luke Evans and is much more relevant than in the novel. He comes from his recent stint in Fast and Furious 6 in which he plays the antagonist. Quite the change.

All in all this first trailer was artistically stunning and we can expect more of the natural beauty of New Zealand to be highlighted in the film. It also gave us a good look at the characters that were not in the first movie, well, except Smaug.

As reported by The Inquisitr there are news about Peter Jackson’s video blog. His daughter, tweeted that he is getting ready to release a production video in two weeks time. That should take us through at least five minutes of behind the scenes footage, as is Jackson’s custom.

A five-month old baby died on Tuesday day in Minnesota after she was allegedly left alone inside a minvan for over four hours.

The incident occurred in Moorhead, and was reported at around 8.20pm when police officers and medics responded to reports that there was an unresponsive child in a vehicle.

When an EMS worker arrived they learned that the infant, who was later identified as Christiana Nathany Sandstrom, had been moved to an apartment in the vicinity of the car, but the child was pronounced dead at the scene.

Temperatures in Moorhead were at a scorching 80 degrees on Tuesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

Currently it isn’t known whether or not the windows in the van were open, but it appears as though the child’s death was accidental.

Christiana was the daughter of Andrew and Shayna Sandstrom, and it was there confusion that lead to the tragedy.

It began when the 24-year-old father of six took all of their children, who are under the age of seven, went to drop off his wife at work and took them along for the ride.

When he returned home he then helped each of his children out of the car, but it was not until around four hours later when police stated that he realised his 5-month-old baby was still locked in the vehicle outside.

Police were then called out to the Sandstroms’ house, where they found Andrew holding his baby in his arms. An EMS worker then attempted CPR on the baby, but was unable to revive her.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death, whilst the baby’s body is currently being held at the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Last year around 32 children died after being left in overheated cars, and this is the ninth such event of 2013.

Researchers are surer now than they were in past years that tick bites can actually spread an allergy to red meat.

Ticks known as the Loan Star are leaving some victims suddenly allergic to red meat reports the Wall Street Journal, they continue on to say:

“Cases of the unusual allergy were first identified at the University of Virginia at Charlottesville in 2007, and are now being reported as far north as Nantucket, Mass., and on the east end of New York’s Long Island.”

Erin McGintee, a pediatric and adult allergist in East Hampton, N.Y., says that she knows of more than 70 cases of the tick bites that lead to the red meat allergy, and she sees several more each week.

“I’ve been trying to get the word out—but there are still a lot of people who don’t believe it,” she adds.

University of Virginia allergy specialist, Thomas Platts-Mills, discovered the tick connection serendipitously—while investigating why some cancer patients had severe allergic reactions to the drug cetuximab in 2006 says the Wall Street Journal.

The report continues on to say:

“But evidence of the connection is mounting. To date, the University of Virginia researchers have collected blood samples of more than 1,000 people with antibodies to alpha-gal, from Texas to Massachusetts, who report the delayed allergic reaction to red meat.

“The doctors have presented their research, funded by the National Institutes of Health, at allergy conferences and in a half-dozen medical-journal articles.

“In a study in the journal Pediatrics last month, they describe 45 children with similar symptoms in allergy clinics in nearby Lynchburg, Va.”

Experts are saying that tick bites that trigger red meat allergies may have occurred unnoticed for years, but with the increasing population of the lone star ticks growing, the reaction that cases the red meat allergies will become more noticeable as well.

The Wall Street Journal says that “experts don’t know why some people who are bitten by lone star ticks develop the antibodies to alpha-gal and others don’t.”

“How much red meat is needed to cause a reaction also varies widely. Some patients react strongly to pork sausage or lamb, but can eat lean roast beef without having symptoms.

“Others react even to chicken sausage in pork casing or to marshmallows and gel-cap vitamins, since gelatin is made from animal byproducts.”

So what are the signs to look for? Researchers say that unlike most food allergies, the symptoms will typically set in three to six hours after the person eats beef, pork or lamb.

They also say that the tick bite that can spread the red meat allergy may occur weeks or even months before a person shows symptoms, which makes it tricky to spot.

The group One Million Moms has caused a Kraft ad controversy stating, “shame on Kraft” for their ad in People Magazine.

The ad, which can be seen on msnNOW, has the group in an uproar.

One Million Moms is a group that claims to be on the search for, well, one million moms that want to stop the exploitation of children especially by the entrainment media (TV, music, movies, etc.).

The group posted on their site, “Kraft has gone too far and will push away loyal, conservative customers with this new ad campaign.”

The group of conservative mothers is outraged because Kraft has gone and used a nude man, covering his important “parts” simply with a blanket.

The fact that the man is sprawled out rather leisurely in the Kraft ad only adds fuel to the One Million Moms’ fire.

Their site goes on to say, “Christians will not be able to buy Kraft dressings or any of their products until they clean up their advertising.

“The consumers they are attempting to attract – women and mothers – are the very ones they are driving away.

“Who will want Kraft products in their fridge or pantry if this vulgarity is what they represent?”

The group is upset because Kraft is now using sex to sell salad dressing; actually, they state that they “cannot get over the gall of this company” and that it is unnecessary for Kraft to take this route to sell their products.

The group claims that consumers have to look really hard in order to see what Kraft is trying to sell, that being a bottle of Kraft Zesty Italian Salad Dressing.

Kraft’s new campaign is their “Let’s Get Zesty” campaign that promotes their new zesty Italian dressing. “The Zesty Guy” is the new face of the campaign, and it’s safe to say that the One Million Moms group wouldn’t approve of the tweet he sent out last month to accompany the new ad.

We know Edward Snowden as the whistleblower who blew the lid off the NSA’s domestic spying program, but what was he like during his teen years?

Whether you regard Snowden as a hero or a traitor, he was just your average warm-blooded American male during his teen years. A look into his online history revealed hundreds of posts which reveal his views on secrecy, religion, politics, working in IT, and sex.

First discovered by Anthony DeRosa and published by BuzzFeed, Snowden’s teen years give us a look inside the mind of your average American youngster with an interest in tech and the early rumblings of his disillusionment with the government.

A few things we learned:

Edward Snowden posted often under the handle TheTrueHOOHA, he dropped out of high school yet still commanded huge salaries with a career in IT, he broke both of his legs during army training, he asked for advice on masking his Internet activity as far back as 2003, he’s an Agnostic, he loves video games, and he loves eating Krispy Kreme doughnuts after having sex.

No, seriously.

“Go to your nearest Krispy Kreme Drive-thru. Pick up one of the warm ‘fresh of the line’ ones and go put them on your nightstand.

“You have not lived until you’ve rolled over to post-coital Krispy Kremes. That’s what being an American is all about.

“I recommend them.”

Now he’s a national traitor/hero (depending on how you feel about the NSA scandal) on the lam with a cute ballerina girlfriend nursing a broken heart thousands of miles away.

Edward Snowden’s Teen Years: NSA Whistleblower Loved Krispy Kremes After Sex is a post from: The Inquisitr

A 6-month-0ld pit bull puppy ate two of his owner’s toes while the man was sleeping Wednesday morning.

Roger Brown of Brazil, Indiana, woke up around 4:30 am to find his puppy Bo licking his feet. But Bo had already gnawed off Brown’s big and small toe on his left foot before Brown woke up. The puppy was also able to eat away a portion of Brown’s foot as well.

Brown’s brother, Marvin, said the pinky toe had a hole the size of a half dollar, and that it was bandaged back up after cutting away dead skin and tissue. Bo tried to pull the bandage off, while Brown was awake, but Brown kept shooing him away.

Brown, who is diabetic and disabled, typically wraps his feet when he sleeps because of his “flesh wounds [and] blisters,” but he skipped the wrapping Tuesday night. The 46-year-old said he doesn’t blame Bo for the incident  and has decided not to euthanize him. Brown said he will continue raising Bo, and admitted that he had only himself to blame. He said that was Bo was “enticed” by the exposed flesh, and that he didn’t feel anything because gangrene had set in.

Doctors think Bo smelled the infection and was trying to chew it out of Brown’s foot. Police said since the dog is a family pet, they don’t consider the incident an attack. Brazil Police Chief Clint McQueen said he’s never encountered a situation like this before, but that there’s a “first time for everything.”

Bo has been isolated by the city by order police, and he remains under observation for signs of rabies or other illness. Brown, a father of three, was rushed to IU Health Methodist Hospital by medical helicopter. He said he is “forever maimed” by the incident and faces a long road to recovery.

A similar incident happened to an Oregon man last year. A 61-year-old Roseburg man, who is also diabetic, had his toes eaten off by his dog in his sleep. Roseburg veternarian Alan Ross said that, similar to Brown’s situation with Bo, the dog was probably attracted to the smell of an infection and was trying to get rid of the dead tissue.

Smash Bros. will not include tripping or touch screen controls.

E3 2013 has been quite a romp in the updates for gaming news, and one of the big Nintendo games talked about included Smash Bros..

This week it was announced that Smash Bros. would introduce three new characters to the roster in Capcom’s blue bomber Megaman, the Animal Crossing villager, and the Wii Fit Trainer. It isn’t clear yet what the latter two of the three will bring to the game, but if Phoenix Wright could make it into Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3, let’s just say we’ve seen stranger fighters.

In a move today that relieves some and angers others, Sakurai has stated that tripping will be removed from Smash Bros. this time. Tripping is any move that stops a player from being able to move, such as knock-downs, stuns, etc., and it was decided that the tactic is just too cheap to be any fun. Of course, gamers who rely on tripping to even have a chance are a tad upset.

There was also the announcement that DLC would not be part of the Smash Bros. franchise, so the roster you start with is the roster that’s possible, making Nintendo fighting fans a little more relieved about the money they’ll be saving.

One aspect of the Wii U that Smash Bros. will not take advantage of is the GamePad’s touch screen. Series creator Masahiro Sakurai has clearly stated:

“You can think of situations where, if you implemented touch controls on Wii U, then the GamePad player would have advantages over other players. We want to balance evenly across Wii U and the 3DS versions, so there’s a balance issue there, which means you would have to avoid using touch screen controls.”

In other words the use of touch screen on the Wii U would make the game unbalanced between Nintendo’s consoles, and they want to retain the element of fairness.

Shohreh Aghdashloo said her time appearing as a female terrorist on the Fox show 24 came to an abrupt end — and she thinks Kiefer Sutherland was behind it.

In a new memoir, the 61-year-old actress talks about her time in Hollywood and what it was like growing up in Iran. The book, The Alley of Love and Yellow Jasmines, also shed a bit of light on what might be her most famous role, as a protagonist on 24.

Shohreh Aghdashloo said working with Kiefer Sutherland was difficult, adding that he was prone to anger.

“I’m afraid working with him proved to be hard. That young man was pretty angry,” she said during an appearance on Fox & Friends. “At the end of the day, I thought he was angry with himself.”

Aghdashloo said her character was not originally intended to be killed, or at least not as early as it happened. And she think Kiefer Sutherland may have had something to do with it.

“The plot changed. I have a feeling that he did [have a role in my departure].”

While Aghdashloo got an abrupt ending to her time on 24, fans of the show have also felt cheated in getting closure. After the show wrapped up, there was buzz that a 24 movie would follow soon but the talk seemed to go nowhere.

Now, director Antoine Fuqua said a 24 movie most likely not going to happen at all.

The Dunkin’ Donuts rant filmmaker who unwittingly set herself up for one of the internet’s most brilliantly spectacular comeuppances saw her plan to embarrass a counter worker backfire, and now that the woman has achieved viral fame, reports have emerged that she tried and failed to reach modeling success.

The Dunkin’ Donuts rant recorded by Florida resident Taylor Chapman appears to have been an attempt to invite scorn and criticism toward a worker at a location for the store for failing to provide her with a receipt.

But the aftermath has overwhelmingly favored the poor Dunkin’ worker subjected to her bizarre overreaction, with racist abuse hurled at the employees and the clear discomfort of other patrons serving to make Chapman look even less sympathetic to viral video watchers.

One oft cited part of Chapman’s Dunkin’ Donuts rant involved this racially horrible gem:

“So I hope you’re happy with your little f***ing sand n****r self, cause I’m about to nuke your whole f***ing planet from Mars. You think ya’ll are tough big fat Arabs bombin’ the Trade Center? I’ll show you tough.”

While Chapman apparently expected support, it seems in the Dunkin’ Donuts rant saga, the customer is not only right — and even Dunkin’ agrees.

Earlier today, The Inquisitr reported that the chain’s official Twitter feed confirmed that the 18-year-old employee seen as unfailingly polite in the clip will be honored by the company, an unusually strong show of support by a brand in a customer dispute.

As for Chapman’s motivations? No one knows precisely why she was so enraged, but RadarOnline went digging, and reports she was “into modeling and shooting promo videos shortly after moving to south Florida.”

One such venture involved a promo with rapper Ludacris, and the site says:

“Far from her bombastic Dunkin’ Donuts performance, Chapman is reserved and at times barely understandable. And she does not call Ludacris the ‘n’ word or tell him he’s ‘under video surveillance.’ … She does try to flirt with him, however, in an uncomfortable way.”

Following her viral Dunkin’ Donuts rant fame, Chapman has shied away from the public eye and has not addressed any claims as to her previous career – clip below of the Ludacris spot.

A huge explosion in Westminster — a town just north of Denver, Colorado — destroyed at least two houses and damaged several others in a residential neighborhood.

As many as 75 emergency responders were on the scene of what appears to have been an explosion caused by a natural gas leak.

Speaking to the press, Westminster Fire Department spokeswoman Diana Wilson explained that they received 911 calls about the explosion at 11:35 am, Mountain Standard Time.

Wilson said that four houses were damaged, two experiencing extensive destruction.

Courtney VanMarter, a Westminster firefighter, was among first responders to the scene in the normally quiet neighborhood. She explained that one house was leveled and a good deal of broken glass from blown out windows covered lawns and sidewalks.

Describing the worst of the damage, VanMarter said that “truly there is not a whole lot left in this house. It’s quite shocking.”

The huge explosion in the Westminster neighborhood seems to have also damaged at least four or five other homes.

Two people were injured, one a police officer hurt by blown out window glass. The other was an energy service worker who was on an unrelated repair assignment in the neighborhood. Neither are reported to have serious injury.

As emergency calls came in from people in the area about the huge explosion, at least four residential blocks were evacuated as a precaution. Once gas lines were determined to be safe residents were allowed to return to their homes safely.

Several people have been, at the time of writing, described as unaccounted for. Special search crews will be called in to sift through debris of the huge explosion in Westminster to determine if any of these individuals were inside at the time.
