Sarah Palin Casts Vote for Alaska’s GOP Caucus

Sarah Palin, former Republican Vice President hopeful and former Alaskan Governor, cast her vote today in Alaska’s GOP presidential preference poll. A CNN reporter flagged her down when she was leaving the caucus in Wasilla, Alaska to ask who she voted for. Palin declined, stating, “I would not tell you who I voted for in this presidential preference poll.” She stayed for an interview with the CNN reporter, despite her recently becoming a paid informer for FOX News.

Later on in the interview, Palin gave her views on the current race, saying, ”Remember, there are five men running for president, and I think Barack Obama is the worst choice, is the last choice. So the four in front of him, as they duke it out in the arena of ideas and solutions to propose, the more of that, the better.” It’s clear that Palin will not tell anyone who she voted for, and she also refused to say whether she will choose to run if there is a contested Republican Presidential convention. When asked, she simply stated, “Anything is possible.”

With the current contenders, Ron Paul, Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney, and Rick Santorum, all winning state caucuses, Palin’s statement is indeed true. Anything is possible at this point in the race, and no one can truly say whether one of these four hopefuls will win the nomination, or if the convention will be contested, allowing others to put in their bid for the nomination.

The former Alaskan Governor also said that she will not rule out running for President in 2016. She stated that she would, “seriously consider whatever I can do to help our country to put things back on the right track.” She did not go into further detail, just saying that she would be willing to help in any way possible.

Do you think that it really matters who Sarah Palin voted for? And would she stand a chance to win the nomination, if she chooses to run in 2016?
